Jolene - Super helpful tips. I love the idea of shifting focus on the stability and relaxing on the fingering itself (G to A).I liked the finger distance caution too! Also, you are inspiring, and okay, I'll practice those high notes more- period. 'Cause you said to do it! Thanks!
I am just learning to play. Excellent video here because you actually play alot in the video. So many of the other people just talk. I am a visual learner. Thank you so much for playing so beautifully
This video, esp. the part on the flute balance and stability, will solve some of my issues. Thank you!. BTW, what do you have clipped to your flute? Does this help your balance?
Hey Jolene, I was wondering if you've done videos on articulations, not necessarily about clear tonguing but more about what we can do (staccato, legato, marcato, accents). If you haven't made a video on marcato/accents on the flute could you please make one? If you have already I'm sorry I'm still pretty new to the channel.
This is very helpful. Ledger lines are scary. Why don't they write it sensibility & say "8 va" ? They make it look harder than it is. Oh well, I'm doing it slowly (& long note practice is always good). Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Love your sound.
Please tell me what you think of a wooden head joint for a professional flute like nestle Torres &other flutist I'm thinking about buying one but I don't know?
The sound quality of your vid is outstanding. On top of that, you play so well, it's a pleasure to watch. Thanks!

Thank you. I've returned to this video several times: Lifetime goal to get my upper register to just mellow out...

Thanks so much! You inspire me and help me realize how far I have to go. Ha!
This is so helpful! I must admit that when I play Taffanel and Gaubert No.1 that I struggle with the third octave
Thanks for watching, Kiara! So glad you found it helpful!
I noticed how she was smiling the whole video and then realized, I too would be constantly smiling if I could play that well! XD
These tips were really helpful and I'm going to try to get one of those books. Thank you for your tips!!!
Thank you with these upper register hints. Good examples. I doubt if I will ever play as effortlessly, but at least it I know it's possible.🙂
Excellent suggestions and recommendations, keep posting!
Wow, this actually worked! Thank you so much!
Thanks for the book recommendations!
Excellent! thank you!

You can play high B, but you won't be able to play low B.
