weirdly enough, jake only refers to finn as his best friends in these early episodes. Its only later on that they start referfering to each other as brothers. I guess that part of the lore just wasnt fully conceived at the time.

16:40 actually that’s why Adventure time is amazing show. Trough the series we see how Finn actually grows up and sees how his solutions actually affected anyone. He growing up, but never actually gave up on his dream to help everyone. He just now understands that not anything can be helped.
The lich might have thought him not to help or trust people when the lich disguised as billy asked him to give him the book. That would cause trust issues, He never tried to help or compermise with the lich and his goal of kill everything
Helping everybody - for one minute with no chance of it lasting - is more than a lot of people would have done because for them the effort just wouldn't have been worth the results. I'm glad we got to see somebody try that out.
This is probably one of my favorite early episode of the show. I always loved those stories where the heroes virtues are pushed to their absolute limits by asburd circumstances. Its also really sweet to learn that Finn heroism is motivated by the day he was found by his adoptive parents.
I think the moral is: People tht complain about everything didn't received enough love from their parents and just want attention. And people that received love usually want others to feel loved too. And sometimes isn't about who deserves to be helped, is about how you feel helping others.
If Nux thinks Adventure Time is strange at this point in season one, you just know he's gonna be losing his mind when he gets to the Lich episode. Heck, I think he'll be tripping when he gets to the zombie episode (which is coming up soon, if my memory is right).
You talking about the first zombie episode, or the second zombie episode? Cause the first zombie episode was the first episode of Adventure Time that Nux watched.
to be fair, season 1 and the first half of season 2 are the strangest because they weren't really writing complex lore early on, it was just "hey look at this wacky stuff that's happening" iirc. The end of season 2 and start season 3 is where I feel the lore really starts getting fleshed out
- Head Marauder is voiced by Thomas F. Wilson who is famous for playing Biff & others (Back to the Future) - Mountain Man is voiced by Matt L. Jones who also voices Dave (Hamster & Gretel), Percy (Amphibia), & many more
13:53 😂 To this day, I still laugh hard enough to almost pass out . I know this show was random but the fact there is some random Druid wizard old man just wandering the place naked for no reason and just screams that makes my day😂😂
It would be best not to. Once the creator stopped being involved in every episode, things got real weird...real fast. You can taste the drop in quality. Thank god for the old ones though.
It is so funny seeing nux think he figured out the moral of the episode, only for it to be quite the opposite. And he is in denial at the end! It is rare to see nux be so ignorant of what is right in front of him.
I think the message is that you can't solve everone's problems on your own. And only once he organized all of them to work together to help each other out did the problems finally get solved. Which is 100 % accurate.
I think this was the most strangest episode for me watching it for the first time (the mountain literally asking "what's happening!? Lmao) and it was very endearing how he helped everyone get what they want cause that's what he wanted too lol
"I love crazy people, it's the entitled ones who are kind of a problem." Nux Taku Now we know why Nux and FeFe are perfect for each other, they're not entitled people.
It’s actually insane how much of these episodes were cut to make them “appropriate” for Cartoon Network. I’m hearing dialogue from classic episodes that I’ve never heard before.
I just finished Fiona and Cake and I CANNOT WAIT for you to watch it, the writing was so good and I actually cried once watching it which is really rare for me(fyi: I can totally wait plz watch all of adventure time first lol)
This is a great episode. I believe at the time it was actually nominated for a comedy award if I remember right. Definitely can't satisfy everyone normally, but it's good Finn figured out what he wanted to do. Thanks for the video.
Don't worry Nux, adventure time gives you a lot of world building and character development, btw season 1 is the least story heavy, the show really gets good late season 2 and keeps getting better from there because season one is more just random adventures
@@ZeallustImmortal can go either way depending on your outlook on things. sure it could motivate you to work out so you can look like that too, but it might also demotivate if you think more along the lines of "dang, I'll never be like that..."

(and thank you Nux for the heart on my previous comment, you rock) ❤
I remember a while back watching a behind the scenes to adventure time were they said they weren't really trying to moralize in their episodes. It's just these dudes doing their best to do the right thing, but not knowing what they're doing. (And often coming to flawed conclusions) At least that's the case in the first few seasons.
Honestly moving the village would have been easier than moving the mountain but this is season 1 of Adventure Time the correct answer is the most nonsensical.
Bad part about that is those people who don't want to see things generally go out of their way to find it to just post about not wanting to see the thing they dont like I never got that.
Nux thinks Finn’s backstory is wild? This is just the tip of the iceberg. From Finn’s pov of his earliest memory. The real backstory, the deeper stuff? Is much more tragic.
Out of everything this episode was pretty lore important. We saw that Finn was alone as a baby, and got adopted by what ended up being Jake’s parents.
weirdly enough, jake only refers to finn as his best friends in these early episodes. Its only later on that they start referfering to each other as brothers. I guess that part of the lore just wasnt fully conceived at the time.
@@blackbloom8552 In this episode, Jake literally addresses Fin by saying, "So be it, brother."
@@kirbyjoe7484 ironically, that one is more of a way you refer to a friend. But i will concede that jake does use bro which can refer to both.

Can't wait to see Nux's reaction to Finn's full backstory being tragic
I'm just hoping he gets far enough to see some of Ice King's backstory tbh, but if he gets all the way through Finn's backstory that'll be even better
Why does this sound like a spoiler
He has to do some marathon binging. Otherwise, it'll take years before we see him reaching the lore-dense parts.
Everyone agrees that the request was unreasonable but Finn wanted to help anyway
funny enough ,hes also the only one where the solution isnt gonna last.
Now you're getting the premise of the first couple seasons. Finn applies a bunch of temporary solutions... and they all come back around...
I just love how petting for like some minutes made the skin of the guys red yet punching the shit out eachother for hours did nothing😂
