You really do need to pay us a visit at the Dunham’s Wood Light Railway, near March in Cambridgeshire, there is a wonderful choice of battery, IC and steam traction running through a delightful woodland setting.
Foxfield is great, we are sort of spoiled for classic trains around here, try get to the Apedale Valley Light Railway to ! well worth it , along with the CVR of course, which drives past where I used to live opposite The Black Lion.
@@lmm i know you are bust shedule, is it possible for episode "what is broken now? " because i also little bit wondering about rest of the team and their projects?
Hey lmm I recently watch a video of abandoned locomotives in UK scrapyards and in the back ground of one of the photos I believe I saw a J70 aka a steam tram engine in the background.
Listen to the sound of those Honda GX120 engines on full chat. It doesn't remind you of go karting, a lawnmower or a generator at all. Looks a great little minature railway and the locomotives are pretty decent little things.
Lawrie should visit the dolgarrog railway society. Not a public railway tho if you email them you could have a chance. They also have a little loco called Tarus. I know it runs just hasn't moved in a while. Also great news with the ruston.
If it isn't Lawrie, who practically could've been my brother. Though I'm leaning more toward cars as far as my interests go. But I still love trains. And I am sure I would've found myself getting distracted looking at all the rolling stock in the sheds as well 😄 You've reminded me of miniature railways and I'll be sure to see how many there are in my country and hopefully visit them between now and the end of the year. And maybe at some point I'll visit the ones in the UK as well. I'm sure I would like it on your side of the north sea.
If I recall it’s to do with the power of getting up the bank with a full load of passengers as it’s a bit of an incline for the umph the one engine on its own has.
So whats the story behind the little traction engine model on the bench (behind Lawry) at 14:36 min? The owner should keep a lookout, not that it get stolen!
Hello sir, greetings from Indonesia, I want to ask what kind of rails are made for the miniature locomotive track? and are there any mini locomotives for sale there?
Those Honda engines are pretty fuel efficient. Hence why they are mostly chosen for applications in garden machinery, small construction machinery, generators and go karts.
Thank you for helping to man the miniature 😇 people REALLY enjoy it.
Finally another episode of lawrie goes a little loco I thought this series ended a long time ago good to see it back

It was very cool

This puts me in mind of dobwalls theme park, did anyone else here ever experience that? 😊

Certainly did. Loved it. Much missed.

@@lmm yes but I have been struggling to find it again. If a do you might want to talk a look to see if I'm correct or not.
So a ham's antenna can been seen in the drone Video & at 21:22. KOOL!!
Another enjoyable video making for gentle viewing 👍🏻 It was also nice to see Jack Dibnah make an appearance on the little 4” Steam Roller too! 😊
That's a cracking little engine!

Great fun
I wish you had had a chance to drive one of the miniature steam engines!
It might well happen
Lawrie you need to go to the Ruislip lido railway!
It's in hand!
Big 🚛 back with another video
LMM --- Lawries Miniature Mainline
I like that
I wish lmm went to churnet valley railway which neighbors Froxfield I volunteer there and it is one amazing railway
Hopefully going to happen soon!
I second that
The points that you slowed down for how did they change. As I didn't see any on change them.
They're spring loaded
Cool
You were a really useful engine, driver...
😂
I think i missed something. If the track is teardrop shaped and has a turntable at the terminus, i dont see the need to top and tail?
If I recall it’s to do with the power of getting up the bank with a full load of passengers as it’s a bit of an incline for the umph the one engine on its own has.
It's to speed things up on return to the platform, and one is effectively the guard when on the back end
@@lmm thanks

Next step LMM Needs to open it own Passenger/freight service
Maybe one day!
7:15 Lawrie and Ben are the only people on board
No that’s not me as I’m flying the drone off camera.
@bwilesuk OK I didn't know
How was YT? It's nice to see my loco on the screen!
I love the witch can you do a video on it
I would love to
LMM the NG15 has almost been finished at the WHR it will be the first running in the UK and I belive 1of 2 running will u have a look ?
Hopefully!
Hello
Hello sir, greetings from Indonesia, I want to ask what kind of rails are made for the miniature locomotive track? and are there any mini locomotives for sale there?
No, they're all privately owned.
I think it's steel track
0:20 peter sam from ttte?
Hey lorry you should build a 5 inch guage ruston 48
so a rail walk, wouldn't that have been done via a rail inspection car back in the day on a full sized railway?
Back in the day, yes
Ben needs an LMM grease top hat.
I’m not familiar with these
@@bwilesuk the Hat Lawrie was wearing
@@Taggart00 ooo
Why don't they use those steam locos they have in their shed? Or that gorgeous tram?
Because I'm only trained on the ones I drove
The steam engines are currently down for maintenance
Lawrie are you coming to festival of transport 2024 at hellingly?
I don't think so
@@lmmok
How long before Lawrie has a mini railway around his house?
Ah to dream
How much fuel did that thing go through in the day?
Those Honda engines are pretty fuel efficient. Hence why they are mostly chosen for applications in garden machinery, small construction machinery, generators and go karts.
We went through a diesel can’s worth for one of them (though don’t know if the can was full)
They were both pretty empty and had 2.5 litres of petrol added to them both.
One ran out just as we were putting it into the shed.
14:39 I thought at first that it was Mark Zuckerberg on your left!
I have been told that several times. Alas I do not have his wealth… though I am married to a half Asian
