I really enjoyed the simplicity of the session and your obvious joy at catching those beautiful perfect looking trout. Got out on the Stour today. Two pike around 10lbs on deadbait and trotted maggot for last hour and a half of daylight produced a 3lb chub. Interesting that perch are your favourite fish. My experience is that they are very numerous but small in northern ireland. There are very big perch in Hampshire but few people fish for them instead of carp. 3lb+ fish are relatively common. Tight lines and look forward to the next one.
@@castnorthangling5964 so did I ... I was buzzing to target big pike , sea trout etc but without a boat I can't access deep waters and all the local waters are either shut rivers or stocked lakes £40 for 4 hrs to catch max 2 fish ...

Yea for stocked rainbow anything would do I suppose if that's what your into mate
I use yellow braid with Fluorocarbon shock leader I never seem to have an issues when lure fishing for trout 🤷♂️
