Love it, something similar in Cavan, a guy lets me use his pontoon that he has built, the lake would be inaccessible otherwise, really generous. What was the lure, missed that seemed to do the trick

Loved the video on an unfished hot spot. Interesting to hear that the pike are not feeding well. I have had 6 blanks in a row fishing on some good river venues in Hampshire and Dorset. I have had 11 pick ups/follows but only 1 lost fish and 10 dropped fish. I have heard a similar story from others too. I have caught hundreds of pike in the past so i do put hooks on 😂 I have access to a small private stretch of the Hampshire avon that has barely been fished for 8 years but blanked on it. High water and very cold weather. One mate of the farmer fished it and had a metre long pike. Will give it another go soon. Keep them coming simon. Any bream or tench in there?

Man that just looks amazing. I started fishing about 8/9 weeks ago have been on the canal, fished the Barrow, the blessington lakes. Can’t catch a thing. So jealous

I remember catching Pike with a Mepps spinner from Rorys shop as a kid on the Grand Canal Sallins beside the aqueduct back in 1987, 88. When the water was gin clear, you could see the Pike darting across the canal to attack the spinner. Now, that was Pike fishing heaven back in those days. The canal was absolutely full of Pike and coarse fish. Sadly, not anymore. They are nearly all gone on that stretch.

Jaysus lad best day ever with that many jack pike and only one low double quality of fishing up the country must be fairly poor if that’s your best day ever 16 jack pike

I keep trying baitcasting but always go back to spinning as I really don't see much benefits for the headache they can be plus spinning is so much better at casting smaller lighter lures in my experience .

Good session mate. It's all flooded where I am now but hoping to get out at the weekend if the levels drop. Fishing in the frost can produce some great takes.

FairPlay mate, it can be tough but quite pleasant fishing Ireland in the freezing cold, it’s the cold wind I can’t handle. Have you ever used portable fire pits to keep the hands warm? , I keep seeing them online

Fair play and good effort with the pike in those conditions. I have found in the past the really big ones will have a go when its cold like that. Top angling effort 👍
