Hi northern cast, great session,i was there last month,but caught more in river over lock.

Pollock is my white fish Legend! I love my fish to eat, I'm in the UK, We are an Island surrounded by sea and we have to pay ££ through the nose for Cod, Haddock etc, I've given up on them and buy frozen Pollock from Aldi, It's so cheap in comparison and tastes just as good!

I've got a coue of fish in the freezer ,about 3lb each ,just need to beef up the tackle

Haven't fished in a few years but planning to head down south in the next few weeks for a day and try my luck for a bass on a lure I'm expecting a blank as I've no knowledge of them or the area but if Ur not in ya can't win, nice fish

Strangely perch aren’t that keen on taking worms in my local canal, maggots they’re all over. Had some big perch on single white maggot in the canal. In my local river the perch will devour worms like they’re the best thing ever.

does the shad come with the hook attached or do you need to attach one? If not, how do I attach one? & how do I attach the lure itself to my line? (New to fishing so I’m unsure on how to attach lures without a swivel or splitring)

Dont keep casting in same spot plus what u were usinv was perfect use the right braid to monofilament ur lighter spinner will go the same if not more likly futher and they will take smaller one easier 👍😎

Its like a mini 'red gill' I use for pollock. I would fish them like them I think , just a steady retrieve finding what speed / colour works for the day?

I found the soft plastic that they really like in the Fox Rage Micro Tiddler fast. But still nothing can beat the Mepps.
