I've owned one (SVTC)since 2018, and have yet never seen another one on the road...never....which is so sad, for such a fine bike...

Sweet! I'm still riding my 14 Victory Vision. However my wife andI really enjoyed our test tide on the Star venture transcontinental. I'm sure it will pull my bushtec trailer beautifully.

@@m9one most of my riding is to and fro for work. I work 8 day stretches for a railroad and travel the west and Midwest. Reverse would be so sweet when parking the the trailer. Nothing like trying to back a bike and trailer up an incline or even flat ground with sandy or gravelish footing.

I love these bikes and it's my dream to own 1, which I am working towards now.... I wanted a Victory Vision really bad until the stopped making them & ever since Yamaha Star Venture & Eluder came out it's been my next favorite bike..... It must be sooo cool being able to ride out in a big group with da same bikes....I've never actually seen 1 in real life but I know they still make them

I'm thinking about getting one of these at the end of the year. I have an 07 Yamaha Royal Star tour deluxe and I've been very happy with it. I want something fuel injected and with a stereo which is why I'm looking at these.

I just acquired an '18 Star Venture with only 5k miles on it and have my accessories/mods almost complete. I am having a hard time finding the taller separated backrest. It has a raised backrest which is better than stock but the taller one would be nice. I'm in the process of having the ECU reflashed to correct a whole bunch of quirky computer crap that this bike suffers from.

I bought a new one on ebay, save a search there. I couldn't find one ANYWHERE else!

I first saw one of these (Eluder) on a group ride in 2020 in the Pacific Northwest. 27 Harley riders, with a few extra bikes that weren't Harleys. One guy had the Eluder and I was on a Yamaha Stryker with very similar V-twin engine. I wanted one ever since. They are just about impossible to find around my area, so I think I'll wait till I move to the mid-west next year before trading in for one. I am curious however, why do you all think they only made the Eluder for 1 year? I've heard it was poor marketing and the MSRP was too high, but mainly curious if the reasons don't reflect badly on the actual bike itself. If it's just for marketing and MSRP reasons, and otherwise the bike is reliable and not fundamentally flawed, I'd feel confident buying one.
Other question I had was has anyone considered or attempted taking off the rear trunk on the Venture? I know it doesn't come off naturally, but was curious if anyone has tried modding one to convert to a Eluder platform. I don't typically ride 2-up, and don't need the extra trunk. But on the rare occasion my SO wants to join in it'd be cool to have access to both options by modding the venture into the Eluder ride mode. I feel like aside from some bolts and some wires it wouldn't be that hard to mod? If anyone has done this I'd be curious to know if it's a consideration to just get a Venture and mod it to have the best of both bikes in one. That would sell the Venture platform to me easy as I'd ideally keep this bike as my final bike in my library of previously owned bikes. Thanks and happy riding!
