But my dad will get mad because she would hang them from the clothesline until they died and he would go out there and shoot him to put them out of their misery. When we got old enough to smoke one of us teenagers took a cigarette out there and put it in its mouth so it could have its last smoke before my dad got home and decided he needed to be put out of his misery. Very cruel. All of it.

It’s actually heart breaking and sickening that people with substance abuse issues are seen as less than human and not worth been found! They’re people ay the end of the day, they have family and friends who deserve to know what happened to them! They’re someone’s children! Keep doing what your doing guys, there are some good people in the world after all👏🏽

Yes, it appears that authority figures get numb to the crisis and just possibly see them as another number. They are real people who took a wrong path but need help and love and understanding! Do not dismiss them or helping due to their lifestyles. Wake up, it could be someone in your life someday.

@Delana Taylor Online my mother is a drug addict, and when I was 8-9 my sisters and i were taken into foster care because she obviously was so strung out all the time and we were to young to truly fend fo ourselves, we became dirty because we ran out of basic necessities like shampoo and body wash, and we didnt know how to and couldnt wash clothes, we all lost alot of weight because we couldn't feed ourselves properly, and on top of that my mother sold us to husband number 5s brother for an 8 ball of coke, resulting in the rape of my two younger sisters.
Shes been in and out of prison 5 times, still uses, and still hangs out with the wrong people, currently shes homeless living in her tahoe in wyoming winter, because she chose to allow her boyfriend and seven dogs (who live with her in her car) to live in her house after she had been told to evict them.
I agree I dont feel this is what was happening to karena at all. I feel it was maybe her first or one of her first few times she had dabbled and it ended badly.
We shouldnt judge every person who sucumbs to drugs the same at all, we dont know their story, why they decided to take them, or even how long they had been, they are humans who have made a poor life decision yes, but its not a reason to judge them and cause greif for families of them by not helping in any way they can.

@@kiyaworkman316 my mom was sold to local police and cocaine drug Lords since she was 3 years old. Her " father" was also VERY physically abusive! To her mother as well!
Her mother went across the street to try to put an end to it but "committed suicide," in their basement instead. My mom was only 9 at the time. At 15 she got pregnant by a big scary older dude. 60s small town mentality, she got married to him. He also beat her and put her in the hospital a few times. He introduced drugs and alcohol to her and that helped numb her. She got pregnant with my other sister and made it away from him. She moved across the US and met my dad, an alcoholic, but a good guy. She was just too broken. They did their dirt for about 6 years and arguments and fighting, then the other not knowing where the other was, who's bed the other was in.... Divorced and moved to the other side of the US with us. The drinking and drugs was constant. In and outs of rehab. Staying here then there. It was just too much! I got away when I was 10 while she was in rehab. I hated never knowing if I was coming home to an empty house,a biker party, or her getting her stomach pumped. I didn't understand why she didn't love me enough to stop. At 14 I got a call saying my mom was in a coma, her kidneys stopped working, she would be a vegetable if she woke up. We found out that she had a lot of brain damage from so many blows. So, not only did the need to be numb took her down that road but also the incapability to stop 🛑 addiction plus brain damage was too much! I didn't understand that until I was older. She was just a broken child trying not to feel pain.
I myself went through many painful surgeries and found myself addicted to pain pills. MY PILLS!!! More surgeries, more pain, higher tolerance, higher dose. I wasn't selling my stuff, living in pill heads houses, on the streets. I didn't steal, beg, or borrow. I decided I wanted to quit! Never would have happened without GOD getting me through it. I was addict! I wasn't a bad person. I was still a human being needing help! If I would have died, I would have been just another opiate junky right? Society needs to be more understanding. Especially those in the position to help!

They won't. We had a missing girl a few years back in my area and the suspects (the parents knew who she was with) just played dumb and lead the police and volunteers in wild searches for years (dump yard, accusing each other, etc.).
The last I heard of them is one of the is free and with a baby girl and living anormal life and he and his girlfriend were all belligerent and complaining that the people were judging them and "looking at them with bad eyes" and all they wanted was to "live their lives".
Absolutely disgusting, and the family of the murdered girl still have no closure, but hey, no corpse found = less sentence... They should rott in hell, and while I know the baby has no fault they shouldn't be allowed to have the baby, just think of what could happen to her with parents like that.
Knowing it was them and not be able to "make them talk" and let them lives like nothing happened, they should be in jail for life.
I hope they find their missing daughter some day and have some sort of closure.

On a side note "defund" was and still is the wrong word. Should have been reform or reeducate so that they don't treat people like Ms. Geraldine so shitty.

Hey guys, I'll just mention this quick thing:
When you grab a snapping turtle, grab them by their shells, either on the sides or underneath. Don't grab them by their tails. Their spines are in their tails and by holding them by their tails you may risk injury to the turtle

Never hold them just by their shell either, the weight of their body could pull it away from the shell. Not good. Always put a hand under their body to support the weight

In a case in Australia (maybe we don't have them here) they used a ball that you could throw or cast into the water, and it told you how deep and the temperature of the water, then you just reeled it back in with a fishing pole. That item could have helped you determine if there was a section of the swamp deep enough for you to try searching. I don't know what it was called, but maybe a call to an Australian dive team could get you access to one.

It always comes down to money. If they had an attorney dogging the PD, they'd have that info in a heartbeat! Since it was a drug related death and the family are just "common" folk (not rich enough to pay anyone off) It's not worth the time to the PD. So sad!!

    • @scottrichards9917

Look for an attorney that does pro bono work. Wouldn’t take much effort on their part to put some pressure on the police to release DNA results or any other evidence.

This family can do a letter campaign to the governor of their state. It’s basically a chain letter. Type the email. Send to 5 people, those 5 send to 5more. They all mail to the governor with their signature on it.

From someone who grew up not far from Kokomo, it's very disappointing that the family has been treated this way by investigators. I just looked up Karena's case and saw it's still active as of October 2021. I hope that the family finds answers and closure soon. ❤
