Yea, as long as you download the new drivers from Roland and just route the audio as normal. You dont have to select the Fantom 6/7/8 option inside your DAW. The regular inputs 1-16 are good. PC or Mac? Make sure the Fantom is recognized by the computer. Go down to "Procedure" and follow the directions. I hope that answers your question. Its a little different. I liked the template function in the MV-8000. Roland really should have kept up with that drum machine. I'm really feeling the Akai MPC X along with the Fantom. Thats how I saw it set up at the store and it was a killer combination. I'll drop a quick 1 minute video showing the two layouts.

I wish Roland kept up with that drum machine. I love it. It needed a few more midi ins and outs like the MPC. Make sure you download the drivers from Roland to get the Fantom running as DAW!
