Hi Jackie! I passed my naturalization interview today! Words aren't enough to express how thankful I am. Your channel is simply a blessing, there's so much information in your videos, excellent content, valuable material, and also tips and tricks to help us learn and prepare for our big day. Here's my experience: They were only letting people inside the building 10 min prior to the interview and masks were required. After going through the security check, I checked in with an officer where he reviewed and scanned my appointment letter and ID. Then I waited around 20 min until another Immigration Officer came to the waiting area and called my name. He walked me to his office where my interview took place. I tried to make small conversations with him asking how his day was going, etc. The first thing we did once we were in his office was to swear under oath. Then he asked me if I study and I said yes. I was a little bit nervous but I tried to stay calm. We did the reading test first (super simple), here was my sentence: "How many Senators do we have?" Then we proceeded with the writing test (also, very simple). My sentence was: 'We have one hundred Senators" The officer asked me to spell out 100 even before I started writing. Then we went over the civics questions. Here are the questions he asked me: *What did the emancipation proclamation do? *What is the rule of law? *What is the supreme law of the land? *Who is the Father of Our Country? *Who makes federal laws? *What are the two major political parties in the U.S.? I answered all the questions correctly (Thank God and thanks to you!) and then we started the process of reviewing my N-400 application to make sure my information was updated and there were no mistakes. We also went over some of the questions of Part-12 and luckily he didn't ask me any definitions or anything complex. They were manly yes or no questions. After we finished, he kindly congratulated me and told me I passed my naturalization interview. But to my surprise, he also said that I was going to have a same day Oath Ceremony and that it was in a couple of hours. I know that's something you mentioned in some of your videos based on other applicants' experiences but honestly, I wasn't expecting having mine on the same day. So, I left the building and went to get something to eat while I waited. 2 hours later I was back for the ceremony, it was very quick and straight to the point. I was a little bit sad because they didn't allow any company or family members inside :( We received a notice to Take the Oath of Allegiance, they asked us to return our Permanent Resident Card, then we took the Oath of Allegiance and lastly we receive our Certificate of Naturalization. Here's my advice to anybody that's having the interview soon: You've got this! (read that again). If you watch Jackie's videos and you study, you WILL pass your interview. Take your time to listen to what the officer is asking and don't rush it. Stay calm, take deep breaths, make small conversations to relieve tension and stress during your interview, and lastly and most importantly, enjoy the process! This is a once in a lifetime event that you've been waiting for years, it's yours, it's real, and it's happening! So trust the process and have fun too! I passed my US citizenship interview today and had my oath ceremony same day. I studied watching your videos only. They're very helpful! The officer was very friendly, and did not ask for any documents except for my passports and green cards. Thanks again, and Goodluck to everyone. ❤️❤️❤️
Jackie, thank you for the mock interview examples. Those helped me gather all the documents I didn't know I needed. And thank you for all the content you create to help us succeed. Following up: my interview was on August 15. The ceremony was the same day. I was asked the following questions: - What state borders Mexico? - Who lived in America before Europeans arrived? (I am originally from Europe 😊) - What did the Declaration of Independence do? - When was the Declaration of Independence adopted? - How many members are in the Senate? - Name one problem that led to Civil War. The sentence I had to read: "Who was Washington?"; write: "Washington was the first president." I was asked only a few questions from the N-400 form. IF YOU ARE SLAVIC and, since we don't have middle names, your middle name will be your father's name. (ex: Maria Vasilyevna Petrova) Best of luck! DO PREPARE!

"There were 13 original states. Name three." "We elect a President for how many years?" No definitions, some general information + Oath of Allegiance Yes/No confirmations. Interviewer did not need travel updates, though I had them ready. Ceremony was on the same day. Thank you again for your help!!

hi Jackie! i passed my naturalization interview this morning. thank you so much for this channel, it helped me so much in my preparation! i'm in Chicago and my questions were: 1. who's the president now? 2. we elect a US senator for how long? 3. who does the senator represent? 4. who's your representative? 5. name 2 federal holidays 6. what's one right only for US citizens? My reading test was: "who elects congress?" and my writing test was: "The people elect Congress" no small talk at all, we went straight to the questions. the officer went through my application super fast, only asked the name of my spouse, my previous last names and why i changed my birth certificate. then went over the rest of the yes/no questions. did not ask for any supporting documents like taxes or marriage license. it was super easy! thanks again for these videos, they definitely helped me a lot!

I had my interview today and officer rescheduled because my wife wasn’t with me. They mentioned nothing about bringing my wife on the appointment letter about bringing her. I have to wait for another appointment letter for go for another interview. I’m so pissed they should have informed me about being my wife. I was fully prepared for the interview.
I'm so sorry to hear that. If you have a I-751 pending, I always recommend to bring your spouse with you. Hopefully, they will reschedule your interview soon.

I’m taking my test next week. Does anyone know if the questions with multiple answers need to be answered with all answers? For example this question and answer What does the Constitution do? . sets up the government . defines the government . protects basic rights of Americans Do I have to give all three answers?

Following up: my interview was on August 15. The ceremony was the same day. I was asked the following questions:
- What state borders Mexico?
- Who lived in America before Europeans arrived? (I am originally from Europe 😊)
- What did the Declaration of Independence do?
- When was the Declaration of Independence adopted?
- How many members are in the Senate?
- Name one problem that led to Civil War.
The sentence I had to read: "Who was Washington?"; write: "Washington was the first president."
I was asked only a few questions from the N-400 form.
IF YOU ARE SLAVIC and, since we don't have middle names, your middle name will be your father's name. (ex: Maria Vasilyevna Petrova)

At USCIS Buffalo, New York, today, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, I presented the interview and the tests without failing any (six correct answers consecutively, a correct reading test and a correct writing test), and I passed everything, and right away they swore me in and now I'm a US citizen.

"We elect a President for how many years?"
No definitions, some general information + Oath of Allegiance Yes/No confirmations. Interviewer did not need travel updates, though I had them ready. Ceremony was on the same day. Thank you again for your help!!

hi Jackie! i passed my naturalization interview this morning. thank you so much for this channel, it helped me so much in my preparation!
i'm in Chicago and my questions were:
1. who's the president now?
2. we elect a US senator for how long?
3. who does the senator represent?
4. who's your representative?
5. name 2 federal holidays
6. what's one right only for US citizens?
My reading test was: "who elects congress?"
and my writing test was: "The people elect Congress"
no small talk at all, we went straight to the questions. the officer went through my application super fast, only asked the name of my spouse, my previous last names and why i changed my birth certificate. then went over the rest of the yes/no questions. did not ask for any supporting documents like taxes or marriage license.
it was super easy!

Hi Jackie! I passed my naturalization interview today! Words aren't enough to express how thankful I am. Your channel is simply a blessing, there's so much information in your videos, excellent content, valuable material, and also tips and tricks to help us learn and prepare for our big day.
Here's my experience:
They were only letting people inside the building 10 min prior to the interview and masks were required.
After going through the security check, I checked in with an officer where he reviewed and scanned my appointment letter and ID. Then I waited around 20 min until another Immigration Officer came to the waiting area and called my name.
He walked me in to his office where my interview took place. I tried to make small conversations with him asking how his day was going, etc.
The first thing we did once we were in his office was to swear under oath. Then he asked me if I studied and I said yes. I was a little bit nervous but I tried to stay calm.
We did the reading test first (super simple), this was my sentence: "How many Senators do we have?"
Then we proceeded with the writing test (also, very simple). My sentence was: 'We have one hundred Senators" The officer asked me to spell out 100 even before I started writing.
Then we went over the civics questions. Here are the questions he asked me:
*What did the emancipation proclamation do?
*What is the rule of law?
*What is the supreme law of the land?
*Who is the Father of Our Country?
*Who makes federal laws?
*What are the two major political parties in the U.S.?
I answered all the questions correctly (Thank God and thanks to you!) and then we started the process of reviewing my N-400 application to make sure my information was updated and there were no mistakes. We also went over some of the questions of Part-12 and luckily he didn't ask me any definitions or anything complex. They were manly yes or no questions.
After we finished, he kindly congratulated me and told me I passed my naturalization interview. But to my surprise, he also said that I was going to have a same day Oath Ceremony and that it was in a couple of hours. I know that's something you mentioned in some of your videos based on other applicants' experiences but honestly, I wasn't expecting having mine on the same day.
So, I left the building and went to get something to eat while I waited. 2 hours later I was back for the ceremony, it was very quick and straight to the point. I was a little bit sad because they didn't allow any company or family members inside :( We received a notice to Take the Oath of Allegiance, they asked us to return our Permanent Resident Card, then we took the Oath of Allegiance and lastly we receive our Certificate of Naturalization.
Here's my advice to anybody that's having the interview soon: You've got this! (read that again). If you watch Jackie's videos and you study, you WILL pass your interview. Take your time to listen to what the officer is asking and don't rush it. Stay calm, take deep breaths, smile, make small conversations to relieve tension and stress during your interview, and lastly and most importantly, enjoy the process! This is a once in a lifetime event that you've been waiting for years, it's yours, it's real, and it's happening! So trust the process and have fun too!

What is form of government currently?
I had my interview today and officer rescheduled because my wife wasn’t with me. They mentioned nothing about bringing my wife on the appointment letter about bringing her. I have to wait for another appointment letter for go for another interview. I’m so pissed they should have informed me about being my wife. I was fully prepared for the interview.
I'm so sorry to hear that. If you have a I-751 pending, I always recommend to bring your spouse with you.
Hopefully, they will reschedule your interview soon.

I’m taking my test next week. Does anyone know if the questions with multiple answers need to be answered with all answers? For example this question and answer
What does the Constitution do?

. defines the government
. protects basic rights of Americans
Do I have to give all three answers?
