This song reminds me of my daddy. Before he passed when he was sick he used to always say, “ I’m so old I can’t do nothing”. When I heard this song it instantly made me think of daddy. He was also a Christian and whil I’m not a religious man I was there when daddy took his last breath and I believe from his reaction he saw an angel come into that room to escort him to glory. I love this song bc it reminds me of my hero, my dad, Gary Smith.

My dad was in the hospital thermal with full kidney and liver failure. He fought hard to spend extras days with us kids. Then he sent this song to my brother and I. I just told him he’s fought a long fight he can’t win when he calls you have to go. You’re my hero dad! 7-7-20. He gets laid to rest with his mom and pop tom
my uncle just passed, 103, they played this song at his funeral, it was perfect, fit buddy to a tee, i am a fan of this band now, thank you steel-drivers!

Thanksgiving day of 2020 my mom was sitting next to me after we had finished dinner. It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day in TX. She said that she thought she had been around long enough. 4 days later she woke up, had breakfast, visited with the nurse and wanted to lay down for a nap. She was fond of naps. The moment her head hit the pillow she had a massive stroke and that was the end of her great adventurous life on earth. Now she lives a glorious life where rainbows never die.

Love this song. Makes me think of my grandfather on my mother's side ehodebhouse I have now.. even tho that man didn't stop until pnemomia took him after a heart surgery. Almost 80 and still in the woods cutting trees and pulling them out on his back and farming until he went in for that surgery. Man could tear up a steal ball 😆 but the knowledge that man had and the stories.... good lord I wish he was still here to see his great grand kids and for me to talk with him.... love you more than you will ever know papa ❤️

Balling right now, and nit in the goid way. Context, I was born really late into my parents life. Because of this, my parents are old now and really cant do a lit because of it. My dad has it really hard core, he's forming dementia now and when he was in his prime, he was awesome. He did so nuch, i just wish i could see him for longer cause I know it wont be long and he'll be crossin the rainbow brigde. This song is real sentimental for me cause of that. (Also because im from an area where people talk almost exactly how this song sounds, just hits closebto home)
