9:11 RTD said in a DWM that the guy walking into the toyshop was a "lovely" guest star, so maybe the man is Neil and the Toymaker will steal his body when he walks into the shop...
I wonder if the toy room has something to do with Wild Blue Yonder since the Doctor and Donna seem to be inside some sort of space and the Doctor is telling her he’s sorry, presumably about how dangerous the games are? Might also explain why they don’t want to show it because it’s going to be crazy and they don’t want to completely confirm that the Toymaker is here.
I don't know how I missed this when it came out, but glad to have it for reference now. I own and have listened to the audios of the Toymaker before, but TBH, I don't remember a lot, but what I do remember, what really stuck with me was Divided Loyalties. If all else is stripped away down to just TV Toymaker cannon, I hope they can at least find it in their hearts to keep the Rallon & Millenia backstory. Perhaps retold in puppet form by the Toymaker?
When I look at the trailer... there seems to be two eras for the Toymaker : 1 - The Emporium shop scene seems to be set in the past (not only fro the look of the shop but more from the look of the people in the street and the old poster on the left building) 2 - The dance with the doctor in present time. Will there be like a decades-long scheme ?
IIRC, one lf the big complaints of the 50th was that it didn't do enough to acknowledge the past era, focusing more on the modern era. This looks promising for a more rounded celebration of doctor who
I always try to consider the expanded media as its own universe within the doctor who multiverse. That way the show doesn't need to follow stories and can also adapt them if they want
When I see animals like Beep I will be the first to admit I do normally go 'awww' & 'how cute' & coo over said animals. I didn't do that when I met Beep. I knew Beep was trouble before I looked him up on the tardis wiki for the first time years ago
read the eighth doctor comics with josie day... nph is definitely the silversmith from the "the mirroring story" they look super super similar.... like almost cut and paste (which also maybe thats why rtd never confirmed the toymaker lol)
Wearing tuxedo and top hat doesn't make it "cut and paste" when the Silversmith from "The Silvering" (not "The Mirroring Story") looked like a 19th-century magician and this guy looks like a 20th-century toymaker before he's in a very different tuxedo.
@@TheWesterlyWarlock if you actually look at the character, you'd see why i said he's ALMOST cut and paste (keyword almost) and nph doesnt really look and more like a toymaker than he would a magician.... and going off of how the celestial toymaker looked last appearance alongside the silversmith alongside nph's character he does seem more similar to the one im mentioning, which wouldnt be shocking since rtd is also bringing in comic elements anyways why not this as well? and like i said rtd never confirmed who it is so stop acting like it being the toymaker is fact.....
in the development of the Children in Need special Demensions In Time it was titled Endgame and had the Celestial Toymaker kidnapping incarnations of the Doctor
The Star Beast, isnt a returning character. If its a retelling, like "Human Nature", "Spare Parts" and "Shada", this would be the first encounter with Beep. As for the Toymaker, why is everyone forgettingg about "The Time Meddler"? An unnamed villain that wears a very distinctive hat, capturing travellers and challenging Timelords with games of illusion....nah, different guy!
Big Finish introduced the Queen of Time, Who is apparently the Celestial Toymaker's cousin or something. I personally find it disappointing that her one big finish release is literally the only story in any piece of Doctor Who media in which she appears.
Well, the only TV outing for the Toymaker was quite frankly rubbish. Interesting that one headline villain will be a character that was only made interesting by extended media and the other has never seen a TV outing.
I know everyone thinks Neil Patrick Harris is going to be The Toymaker, I think that would be a little too obvious I think it’s someone else, a personal theory of mine was The Valeyard but that seems less and less likely with the new trailers, but I still don’t think it will be The Toymaker
Ironic that after the introduction of the "Goddess Time" in Flux, we have the brother of the expanded universe goddess of time. Maybe they'll meld the two? The reason the Toymaker is after the Doctor and making it personal here is due to the events of Flux releasing his Sister?
ngl i think it’ll be very funny if NPH turns out to just be another incarnation of The Master and now, cause of the toy maker theories, Russell’s regretting his life choices
Personally I would like them to mention the previous times the doctor has met beep and the Toy maker in expanded media as this is the 60th and is meant to be calling back to all parts of doctor who not just the tv show yet if this was a normal tv appearance I would probably think it would be a good idea not to call back to them
Since 'Solitaire' when we've last seen him, The Celestial Toymaker has been sleeping in the British parliament waking up to vote to reduce benefits fifty-two times and make vile remarks about the little people of Britain.
Beep the Meep and the Toy Maker? If this were a Christmas special, I would say this is clearly an attempt at merchandisinig and taking advantage of kids. Instead, it sounds like an excuse to mine the comica for new stories because the 'writers' couldn't come up with anything new.😀
Star Beast sounds and looks both interesting and bizarre a cat like creature with mental powers and possibly an ability to feed off people's feelings and that kind of reminds me of another villain in the doctors rouges callery of mind control creatures and also the Toymaker has been known to have this abilities so maybe there's a questionable link between them and the stories and possibly other villain hidden in the corner of the Doctors tardis a little dark matter of anti matter universe Omega he has be hinted at over the years and believed to have a hand in upcoming events in doctors new adventures?

Wait.. so they based the 60th off a comic book and you didn’t even give a spoiler warning before you literally detailed the whole damn plot of the comic? 😂 thank god I didn’t continue after I heard you start to explain the whole thing.
Keep the lights on:

If it is the Toymaker, I hope we get a line where the Doctor says "I haven't seen you since Blackpool!" or something to that effect.
I’m guessing he won’t know it’s the toy maker until later in the episode

Could also be the games involve cameos from monsters and characters?

I’m actually shocked the anniversary is so close. I remember it seemed so far away before 😩😩😩😩
Still got 6 months, but I am sure that will come before we know it.

I think the Toymaker has stolen the body of American actor Neil Patrick Harris.
It’s just a little theory I’ve come up with 🙂
@Mark James He’ll be playing a man who’s inside of him yes

Beep the meet definitely is gonna be a ''reverse Baby Ypda'' RTD was clever to bring him to live action.
That's is, literally just the Buffy's Once More With Feeling episode but with a Laugh Villian instead of a Dancing Villian .
Big Finish introduced the Queen of Time, Who is apparently the Celestial Toymaker's cousin or something. I personally find it disappointing that her one big finish release is literally the only story in any piece of Doctor Who media in which she appears.
Toymaker is her brother but you're right
But what if Neil Patrick Harris isn’t playing the Toymaker but The Trickster?
Is the Toymaker.
The Trickler is a crap villain.
where is the Puppet part of the video from with the "cake" and the death message

If i am not wrong, the queen of time, and the goddess time are two separate characters
Goddess times is an eternal that embodies the concept of time
