Morgan James is amazing! She has incredible vocal control. My next recommendation from her and post modern jukebox is “Take Me to Church“ it is the most emotional song I have ever heard.
This is a brilliant arrangement. I love the strings. I think it was an excellent choice to have the band play it out to the coda. It seems to accentuate Morgan’s amazing performance even more.
Steven Tyler who? Aerosmith what? Morgan takes this song, makes it her own, puts it in a suplex, and leaves it choked out in the middle of the Octogon. To both of you out there who haven't heard this rendition, please avoid operating heavy machinery either before, or immediately after listening. On a more serious note, I had heard this song a lot before Morgan's version, but her vocals are so crystal clear that I finally UNDERSTAND it.
When TH-cam recommended this video to me the year it was uploaded, I had no idea who any of these people were. But I liked the song, so I clicked. At the end of the video, all I could say was "My God, I am in LOVE". Had no notion that that would be my response 3 minutes earlier.
another great reaction nick... morgan james is an amazing singer and performer and fits perfectly with the postmodern jukebox family. she is very different than my favorite haley reinhart but exceptional in her own way. she is opera trained from julliard. this performance is stunning and her best one... imho. the string arrangement is also superb and i think is the same muscians and stage used in the pmj/haley cover "black hole sun". the way the guy on the cello plucks it like a guitar after her first run is super cool (never seen that before). 😎
Morgan is a Vocal BEAST!! This cover is but the tip of her iceberg. For a much better display of her talents, you need to react to her cover of Jeff Buckley'' "Grace" (song). It is a Master Class Performance in Vocal & Breath CONTROL. (watch when she takes a breath for the phrases she sings). She also puts her heart & soul into her singing. Check out her cover of James Eats World "The Middle". I think this is a very personal cover for her. FYI - Morgan will not allow her voice to be manipulate (auto tune/auto tone) in post production.

Where else will you hear a CELLO solo in a rock song? .......btw, Morgan was trained in voice at Julliard, has performed in musicals on stage and can sing AnyThang🤩
