This is a speedrun of Sonic Mania Plus in Encore Mode in 43:51.33 to all emeralds. All emeralds is Good Ending/Best Ending.

✩ Game Description ✩
Sonic Mania is a platform game published by Sega for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows in August 2017. Produced in commemoration of the Sonic the Hedgehog series' 25th anniversary, Sonic Mania pays homage to the original Sega Genesis Sonic games, featuring speedy side-scrolling gameplay. It takes place over 12 levels, including several redesigned from past games. The story follows Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as they venture to defeat their nemesis Doctor Eggman and his robotic henchmen, the Hard-Boiled Heavies.
Plus is an expanded version of Sonic Mania. It was released in July 2018 both physically and digitally for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One consoles; and as a digital-only release on Steam for the PC. The content introduced in this version was also made available as downloadable content to digital copies of the original game for all platforms. This re-release adds two new characters to the game, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel, as well as a new game mode, Encore Mode, and expands the Competition Mode up to four players.

oh i thought it just reduces the fps to make inputs easier
@@SSF124Animatesit just lowers the speed of the game and save states soo he is playing just not at normal speed so more precision is possible. 👍

I think sonic mania doesn't appreciate tails work in the special stages, tails did almost every single special stage and then when ray did the final special stage the game was:"RaY gOT AlL cHaOs emErAleDs"😂😂

Nice TAS! Is this a glitchless speedrun? In normal speedruns they use a strat called partner clip. Why you didn't use it?
I TASed this on decomp which that strat doesn't work. I used only working strats for decomp.

I have the exact same question! I could only guess that maybe Ray becomes irrelevant from Lava Reef Act 2 onwards, so he just did it to show off?
