"Atalarım" in Azerbaijani means ancestors. It is the same with Tatar language. If you use this word in single version, it means "Father", however in plural version it means ancestors.

From what I've heard the unpopularity of Crimean Tatars has a very sad reason, The Crimeans betrayed the Ottomans Turks by allowing the polish army to push thus costing a lost to the Ottomans in vienna. The crimean prince who betrayed the Ottomans was later executed but all in vain.. And i think crimeans have never stopped suffering since that time. I would like to hear their version of the story.

Well it also depends on the dialect people speak. As we know all the Turkic languages have dozens of dialects, and though some dialects belong to one language they might be super different. I speak the Middle dialect of Crimean Tatar, that has features of both other dialects, and both feel at the same level.

Even the standard version of the languages have significant differences in its vocabulary. There's a methodic of calculating the lexical difference between languages using lists top 5000 most frequent words for each compared language. Ukrainian linguist Kostiantyn Tyshchenko has developed it and applied it to European languages. Sadly, there is no calculation for Turkic languages yet.

why did you choose or maybe it was on the video, for a religion part which means Arabic words including becase of the religion thing.. If you choose a pure Turkish from a normal, daily talking you will see you are understand 10/10
neden Türkçe bölümğ için dini bir konuşma seçilmiş.. belki de videoda böyleydi. Din söz konusu olduğunda Arapça kelimelerin kullanılması kaçınılmaz oluyor çünkü din Arapça.. eğer normal, saf, günlük bir kohuşmayı seçersen 10/10 anladığını göeceksin.

Yes, you’re right, the video was devoted to the religious topic, so it was harder to understand and I’m sure that daily conversation would be easier to understand.
