- New cases of a so-called "sloth virus" known as oropouche are appearing across Europe in Spain, Italy and Germany. At least one scientist says the dengue-like disease could potentially become endemic in tropical Singapore. It spreads through bites from mosquitoes and midges, and originated from infected sloths, monkeys and birds in South America. Dr Annelies Wilder-Smith, Visiting Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, tells us what is known about the strain that is currently spreading and whether there is anything to worry about when travelling.

Here in Florida we get millions of them dropped on us out of airplanes. The bats think we are wonderful. But there are many varieties of mosquito, and who knows what carries what.

no it's nothing new, at the end of the day and is NOT psyops - which I'm aware of a lot of what happens with much of that. as not only have I been acquainted with some who have had work with certain government projects, I'm also a licensed health care worker who has had to deal with such cases. some which have been quite scary, though MOST of them can be tracked back to logical source origins.
in other words:
no mysterious gaps leading to questions about where the source of most of the illnesses came from & how people got infected - and that's what a good education in science + informed scientists can do for the world.
so, please have some common sense🙄:
plus, in this and re: many other illnesses there's no treatment or anecdote that could get to all people you seem to imagine would be involved behind the scenes. and even when these things are available in many cases there are, literally, *not* enough of them to go around. including not enough for all the "psyops' people who'd likely need it.
so, common sense should tell everyone that all individuals in organizations that work like that are NOT for 'un-aliving' themselves. they don't want to get sick &/or die and they don't want their families to get sick &/or die either.
not everything bad that happens to the public is because of psyops projects - not enough people & time for that, even if ALL the money needed was available, which it's not.
so, please stop spreading around such nonsense because, obviously, you're watching too many videos, movies, tv series &/or documentaries. and you have no obligation to believe everything you discover @ TH-cam, it's not healthy & makes the uninformed think in a manner too slow.
instead, you *can* get offline, find some sunshine & touch some grass every once in awhile at least. because, clearly, you're hypnotized by too much nonsense & just repeat what you hear without applying critical thinking skills first & just smdh.😐

Well, I should hope so. History does repeat, especially when it comes to viruses. The question is, will you take what we have learned from history & use it wisely? Or will you make up or grab onto the first stupid conspiracy theory that comes along? When Covid first started being reported about overseas, I started watching history videos about the 1917 pandemic & learned how people survived (or didn't). I stocked up on essentials, including plenty of TP, fever reducing medications, Vit C & Zinc, food, hand sanitizer, etc. I did all that WAY before the panic buying & hoarding started. Then my family & I safely & comfortably stayed on the ranch while all the fools fought over the last roll of toilet paper & the last bottle of hand sanitizer. Nobody in my family got sick during those initial deadly rounds of Covid. We were able to avoid it until multiple mutations resulted in it being just a really bad cold, then we stopped all precautions & let ourselves develop natural immunity. Not one person in my family had to be hospitalized from Covid. The 1917 flu is still around, it just became a regular flu after it ripped through killing millions. Knowing that history helped me take a wise approach to Covid

@@joshi3518 They didn't exactly make it mandatory up here (Canada), but they could fire you and make you drop out of college/university if you didn't, so a lot of people got it just to maintain their jobs. They had even started removing custody from parents who wouldn't get vaccinated before we all started rebelling (seriously, that actually happened).

Also, in hospitals/long-term care homes, they could take away your clothes, blanket, and not let you shower (that happened to me).

There are many insect repellent soaps you can purchase online that are used by campers, hunters, hikers and outdoor workers. A lot of them are very effective at keeping mosquitoes, ticks, wasps, bees etc. away from you. Some are herbal based, some have other substances in them that repel insects. There are also natural sprays for this purpose, but I like the soaps. If you go to the big online retailer and type in "mosquito repellent soap" you will find tons of choices.
