Slow Rider, This is the thing I was looking for. If you wish, I will nominate you for honorary membership into the Slowly RollingTurtles Motorcycle Club.
SlowRider, great cleaning hack! Saves time and agrivation! Let's the rider role down the road instead of maintenance non-stop on the ride! Great content again chief!👍🏍️🤓❤️🧸🐻🦁🤓 Doug
Yes this was a very disturbing video as most of the goofy stuff you see on TH-cam by these kinds of people. This was one of the most ignorant things I've seen.
@@meggirard5873there is no need to use anything harsh unless you have rust filled up on the spokes or the rim of the wheel. A simple non-acid wheel cleaner section by section and a microfiber detail brush to go in between the forks rinsing each section right after you washed and then take a microfiber mint and completely clean the wheel over again then either ceramic coat or Chrome polish of a good quality such as mothers. Do this twice a year and they'll always look excellent. Please don't follow with this guy did because it was very disturbing to watch
@@willsrestorations I don’t know what’s goofy about it. You don’t need to do this on spoke wheels on a new bike, but it works great for and older bike where the spokes and spoke hubs are rusty. I didn’t use window cleaner but I did wash them good with soap and water and smeared some Turtle Wax brand chrome rust cleaner and wax and it worked beautifully. A dedicated spike brush is about $20 and a fine bristle toilet brush was about $4.
The only problem is it's ALSO a quick easy way to get water in your rim through the spoke holes.. and that moisture will NEVER find it's way out.. which creates rust inside the rim.. I NEVER put water on my harley.. I do the spokes with a wide shoelace..
I don’t have 2 hours to spend on the spokes with the shoelace method. I guess you show your bike more than ride it, and never sees rain either huh ? My bike was a garage queen when I bought it. A 13 year old bike with 1,256 miles on it. I like bikes that guys buy and never ride, just sit in the garage polishing on them. They keep them looking great and like new with no miles so I can buy them dirt cheap later on.
@howdiedoodie8587 nah, i dont show my bikes anywhere.. but CLEARLY I take better care of my bikes than you do.. but, hey, keep wettin down your bike.. see how that works out for you.. 👍 😆
@@brsha8762 People crowd around my bike all the time. They just love that Big Red Flake Hard Candy Custom, that is always showroom clean and it gets Amsoil oil, transmission fluid and primary fluid every 3,500 miles. She was immaculate when I bought her in 2023 with 1,256 miles on it. Not bad for a 2013 model. And all other maintenence is by the book.
Brush, good idea. Ammonia based cleaner like Windex is a HORRIBLE THING TO USE. ... Ammonia dissolves copper, chrome has a copper base. Good way to get pits and peeling chrome.

That definitely sounds like the MC for me!
Might have been a better demo if the wheels were actually dirty first...

Hmm, not only a good way to scratch your chrome with those hard bristles, but also add some piting from that ammonia, too.
what product would you use? Degreaser, a soft brush? I feel like that's what I need
@meggirard5873 I normally just use car wash soap but just make sure to use a clean microfiber towel.

We tide leather strap to the center wheel axle, and it kept the spokes pretty darn clean and all you had to do was ride it
I’ll have to try this out come spring 💯 Thanks 🙏🏽 Worthy of a like and follow
Sweet!!! Will be using that on my new 21 inch spokes on my 06 Road King.......Thanks!!!
brush - so simple. thank you for my hands
I'll try
Now what about the rear spokes that are harder to get to?
What year is your Heritage? Love the color.
Cheers! It is a 2016. The color is Amber Whiskey. 2008 also has the same colors but in reverse.
@@slowridertvHello, is this toilett brush not to hard, can it make scratch in chrom??🤔
@@uweyaa Yes, I have been advised that stiffer brushes could damage the chrome.
@@slowridertv Thank you

Does it matter which way the drill turns?
The direction does not matter. As other comments have cautioned, use a soft bristle brush and be careful to avoid scratching.
heck yea I'll give ya a thumbs up !!!!
Guress what I am doing this morning!!!

Exactly what I thought. I'd prefer Dawn dishwashing liquid over window cleaner.
Not again😎, I like this method will try.
Nice idea but.....can't do it on polished or painted spoke wheels.
It was already a clean wheel.
Wow
Using any cleaner on your bike that contains ammonia, even after rinsing it will leave enough to attract animals to urinate on your bike
Dogs will piss on it whether you use an ammonia based cleaner or not...
Transformation from dirty to clean????
You should buy proper bike for your self...🧐
Okay, I'll bite. What would you recommend as a proper bike?
