You are not the only one who asked that question so I guess part of it was confusing to several people. The piece that was at my sisters house never came back from the thrift store. The buffet that I painted came from my niece which came from another house that I heard was haunted. I don’t think thebuffet has any spiritual issues but there were two separate pieces. Sorry for the confusion.

Beautifully said!🥰🩷 I, too, believe we live in the supernatural and to be careful what you bring into your home (meaning used furniture piece etc...)🥰❤️
Just bought a chair and my son said he had a deja vu moment when he took it out my car. I never considered bad vibes, but I also believe you can cleanse too. Your piece turned out gorgeous and I love the mixture of storytelling and instruction.
I think that little something that pushed you to continue changing this piece knew exactly what it was doing because this turned out to be a masterpiece. The colours are amazing and the few transfers applied are a perfect addition. And, as sad as it was to sand the top back, that was also a brilliant decision. The way the wood/veneer was laid out in a starburst pattern is beautiful so, apart from the overall composition of the piece being improved, it is also nice that the pattern isn't hidden any more.
Debi, thank you for sharing your story. I agree with you that we have to be careful what we bring into our lives. There is a spiritual battle always going on around us. I love how this piece turned out. You are so creative. ❤
Debi, your testimony, your story is so true. I was brought up the same. The odd thing is we went thrifting yesterday, and I woke up early hours smelling an odd smell. The Lord told me I brought something in. So I need to pray and ask which item it is and which needs to go. To God only be the glory. Thank you Debi. Jesus put this video in my feed today for a reason. Thank you. Also, I’ve used DIY for years.
Love this piece sis! Beauty from ashes. I also love the song in this video..”I want Jesus to walk with me” The story makes me think of one of my favorite verses of scripture.. “Therefore …let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. I helped my best friend move into an apartment, years ago and the place gave me the creeps, to put it mildly. It was a Saturday and we had a dinner planned with our church group that evening so I went home to clean up and get ready. I made it to dinner and we all were sitting around, talking as everyone arrived, catching up with each other etc. My friend was not there and everyone was asking me where she was. I figured she had just got caught up in moving in and lost track of time, and told them so, but a little later, when she still hadn't arrived I decided to go see what the hold up was. I pulled up in front of her apartment and as I walked up to the door and I could hear this low moaning sound coming from inside her apartment. It was interspersed with comments like "please stop, please go away, etc. I could tell it was my friend and so I started calling to her and telling her I was coming in. I pushed on the door and it opened a little, but she was cowering in the corner behind the door and blocking me from getting in all the way. She kept saying. "Don't come in here, don't come in here" but there was no way I wasn't going in there and I finally got her to scoot so I could come in. I got her off the floor and asked her what was wrong and she said that as soon as I left earlier she had gone into the bathroom and something attacked her. At first I thought she meant someone and I told her that she was safe, that no one was there but she told me again that some Thing had attacked her. Well, I didn't wait any longer. I pulled her out of that apartment and into my car and took her to the restaurant where our friends were. I went in and got our group leaders, an older married couple, and told them what was going on. They came out and prayed with us in the parking lot and then went back with us to her apartment where they prayed over every opening. Every window, door, the heater/ac vents, everything. I tried to get her to stay with me that night but she insisted on staying there and when I checked with her the next morning, all was well. After talking about it, and based off some of the stuff that had happened to her, we surmised that whomever had lived there prior to her had been involved in demonic stuff.
I totally agree with you on angels and demons. I brought some of my ex mother in law's furniture in my house after she passed. I felt like I moved her in. House housekeeping went to pot. I got rid of some PCs and prayed over the rest. I bought a storage unit and brought the contents home for my booth. I prayed over them and pray over my booth when I restock. Wish you would come to Birmingham for a workshop. Would love to meet you. God bless.

This is so good! I love this piece! I’m feeling very inspired to do something like this with the pigment powder. Also, I have a few stories like this and totally get it. Not with furniture but with an apartment I lived in for a few months when I was 18. It was before I gave my heart to the Lord so I did think it was haunted. 😬 Anyway, thanks for sharing your story and process. 😘

Wow! You struggled with this piece but it sure turned out gorgeous in the end. I so admire your bravery with mixing so many colours. It’s like I REALLY want to go wild with colour and be Boho, but something is holding me back. That is gorgeous....finally! Also, thanks for all your honesty on the processes of creativity because I have been there so many times! Not the spirit thing, but just reworking something over and over with great frustration! Well, it may have been a vibrational imposition....but most videos show the finished product so effortlessly it could leave one feeling completely inept at the craft! I love your stuff! Going to copy somewhat insofar as the freedom of no fear creativity. Thank You! You are a gem!
Our lives are nothing if not an adventure and your projects are such an adventure!!! As usual it is another masterpiece. I love your videos and all the quirky appeal they have in the story you tell and the editing to the final dance clip. They make me happy and inspired. Thank you
So many thoughts! I 100% agree with everything you said; have had similar experiences. Thanks for sharing truth! About the buffet: you never really said how you felt about it at the end but I about cried it’s so beautiful! Your artistic process stresses you out but that’s normal! You are so creative and talented. You should be proud. Your work and your stories are an inspiration! Also, you’re very funny. 💗💗💗
I’m new to your channel and I love your work, your family and the dogs and I love your honesty… the cabinet turned out very nice… worth the effort because you learnt a valuable lesson along the way…
I still do acrylic painting and started learning watercolor. So many amazing teachers and techniques ❤ You are self taught and you produce amazing pieces ❤ Thank you ❤ Yes negative thoughts bring negative to your life! yes I’ve experienced many things having to do with the deceased starting at age 5 but nothing negative. ❤
I love how it came out, Debi. I personally loved the way the top looked after Bobby sanded it. It almost looked like a blonde sunburst? The way the grain/patterns of the wood looked, before the waxes. Good to know about the pigments. Such vibrant, gorgeous colors. Thank you for sharing.
That dresser is absolutely gorgeous, the ray of sunshine on the top needed to be revealed. If I did anything like you, it would look like a hot mess. A friend of a friend had a spirit living in a wardrobe, so yes, it does happen. She would come out and move things on the dressing table, bless her.
Hi Debi 👋, all's well, that ends well! The struggle is real creating from your heart! Somehow you manage to pull it back and arrive at something so uniquely beautiful 💖 When you figure out why we do this to ourselves, please let me know! 🤣. Love always, Michelle 😘❤️
It's good to see that you didn't do this in an hour! It's beautiful. Sometimes I have to leave things for a while before I try to finish. I wait for inspiration. And I've never done anything on this scale. I used to be a real estate agent and I met a lady once who had all this lovely antique furniture and she said it all came from the side of the road. She said if she found something, she'd sit on it till she could get someone to come pick it up for her. She said sometimes she thought there was the spirit of the person who used to own it before her sitting in the chair. I have a question. I know you can't paint over wax. If I wax something , and I don't like the tone of it, can I mix the powder with a clear wax and then go over the wax again with the tinted wax.
So much support for you in these comments. I adore your vision-turned-finished-products. You are much more talented and fabulous than you may think. Also to point out that I always get so excited to start a new project and but find then it takes for fricking EVER to finish. I have that luxury bc I don’t sell my things.
The piece is stunning. The grain on the top is beautiful and looks great as a contrast to your beautiful paint design. You can be very hard on yourself! Hope you bought yourself some nice shoes as a treat after this one.
Your hutch is a masterpiece, and in the process, you learned a new technique you may not have if you hadn’t struggled. There are no mistakes…..only learning opportunities!! Good job!!!
Wow! Love this piece! I really get you’re whole story. I too know we can invite tings into our lives that should not be there and it can really cause us grief. I also struggle with the creative process and can get caught up in trying to do too much to a piece. I appreciate that you persevere through it though and share the good and bad of the process with us.
The first version was pretty amazing. The second version was a whole new level of stunning. It was a painful experience but so worth it in terms of the resulting art. I’m in awe.
Oh my goodness, sanding back the top was the perfect move! Beautiful! I totally agree with you about there being a spirit realm with angels and demons in it, and how we need to be cautious about things we do that could “invite” them, so to speak.
Thank you! Your work is so inspiring and beautiful, I didn’t realize you had a TH-cam channel until a few days ago I am watching your videos in my spare moments and Really enjoying your creative process, it’s very unique! I would love to connect with you!
You can get yourself a bunch of white sage (if you have a local crystal shop they might have some) and just "smudge" each piece you buy. This means simply lighting up the sage, blowing out the flames and while it's still smoking pass the sage all over the piece (above, under, inside) so that the smoke touches all the parts. If you think this is too "woo woo" just remember that many cultures (including indigenous Americans) from all over the world have done this for centuries (purifying with smoke) and also, in many churches they burn incense and walk around the church with the incense burners - maybe not so much nowadays but this used to be common practice.
Your thoughts, beliefs, and talent are amazing. This piece took you in a journey that allowed for you to bloom in such amazing way. Your beliefs are the same as many, and it's ok.
Debbie, I have been following for years and always enjoy your stories, whether cute funny or what have you. I believe in opening doors to the spiritual world. Your wisdom is beautiful because it is God given. Nice to know that you are aware especially with all the pcs you bring into your life. So true.
Wow wow wow wow! The buffet turned out just perfect! The process was obviously a challenge, but out of that challenge, you created something that may not have been realized if you didn’t go through the pain! ❤️
Girl! You are my soul sister! God told me one day that He did not want me to watch TH-cam videos of people talking to the dead (like spirit box sessions when Gabby Petito disappeared) or any videos with tarot cards. I listened. I do fall asleep to scary stories, but it is just for noise. I hope you have had a blessed Easter! I love you videos and your paint! I ordered a bunch of blue color, farm fresh and apothecary. I absolutely love them!
Lots of missteps and second thoughts but, in the end, it all comes right. Art is a great metaphor for how life works most of the time. I have always prayed for protection against experiencing any of those scary things because they scare me half to death and in all these years it has worked. I never even have a nightmare. On the other hand, I have experiences on a regular basis with good spiritual entities that help me and have on occasion even saved me from great harm. The presence is palpable. Life is quite the journey and it's good to recognize the good and give thanks. Thanks for sharing the wonderful video, your work and your stories and the music. They are such a gift.
I’ve co-authored a whole book series on haunted objects. 😆 So I was excited to not only see a new video from you but definitely intrigued with this title. I own a variety of family heirloom pieces and have had no experiences so far 💕The buffet is beautiful btw.
Dear Debi , I am really humble that you like my piece Esmeralda 🌺🦋🌺You have to know that you are the person who gave me the courage to paint and create from my heart without questioning myself. For all your teachings of life and art philosophy and your videos , Thank you 🌸🌺🙏🌺🌸

Wow, I think despite the extra work, she turned out beautifully. I do feel sometimes we need to go through these processes in order to get to that end goal. I'm sure this will sell quickly 😊
This turned out beautifully!! Anything that you get can have good or bad energy, antique or newtique. B TW… the cards tell a story, there are no bad vibes unless you create it. They are no more powerful than a deck of playing cards. ❤️
I am right there with you!! No negative things are allowed! When they are around I step away or try my best to! I pray Jesus walks with me and my family and children each second of each day! I love every single piece of furniture you paint and the more I watch your videos the more inspired I get. I absolutely think you made the right choice to leave the top unpainted to ground this buffet it's just so beautiful Debi! 😍 happy crafting
that's a creepy story, gorgeous piece and so much teaching about products and your process. I'm just starting out painting my own dingy furniture.and enjoying COLOR and whimsy in every piece. it's slow going because I change my mind or get a new idea or inspiration. I hope with time, practice, and courage to just go for it I'll create what I love. I wonder ifcthose ladies followed the haunted dresser to the next home.
I love, love, love this piece. I want to learn how to create this look! I would love to meet you in Maryland. Checking the location & my schedule now! Thank you for sharing your creativity and life experiences with us.
I make a habit of saging a new piece, asking for any stagnant or negative energies to be cleansed and released from the piece and to fill it with love, light and healing. And then, I offer a blessing of happiness, health and prosperity for the new owner.
Yep. I have a similar story but I think you’d find it too scary-suffice to say I agree with you. It’s important to be on alert, not paranoid, just careful. Careful of outside influences, and inside thoughts. At the same time I think what is negative for one might not be for another. I have a good friend who uses the Tarot and she is a good and kind person, and a positive influence in my life and others… I’ve never felt fear or anxiety. Your piece turned out beautifully! For all the challenges you experienced I think it is a natural process when you’re trying new things, and complex things like you do, to have it go haywire sometime. The key is to persevere and you always do! By the way I had to pause the video several times so I could see the cute little hummingbird in the beginning, and then the other bird crossing the street at the crosswalk! I guess I am alert to birds. Love your videos Debi and all the inspiration you continually provide!
That’s funny, when you started out telling the story I fwd through it because I don’t like opening doors for evil spirits & I just wanted to see how the furniture turned out. Once I started hearing the stuff that you were saying at the end then, “I was like oh 😯 ok, she went in another direction.” As for me, the Holy Spirit is the only spirit welcomed in my home! The piece turned out lovely. This is the first video I’ve seen of yours & I look forward to watching more.
I love your stories and videos. I am trying to get the guts to paint a piece in the bright boho style that you create. Thank you for all of the inspiration you provide ❤

OMG I absolutely love this piece you have inspired me! I love color and I always love listening to your stories ❤️
ty for sharing your story and I loves how your buffet ended up. ur very talented keep doing the beautiful work.
You are an amazing artist. Love this piece and everything you do and love, "So clay is basically dirt." LOL....
Christina, yes lol so no need to clean the piece first 😂🤣
Hi Debi 👋, all's well, that ends well! The struggle is real creating from your heart! Somehow you manage to pull it back and arrive at something so uniquely beautiful 💖
When you figure out why we do this to ourselves, please let me know!
Can you tell me how to find Olivia and with love furniture?
The piece is stunning. The grain on the top is beautiful and looks great as a contrast to your beautiful paint design. You can be very hard on yourself! Hope you bought yourself some nice shoes as a treat after this one.
xoxo thank you Antoinetta! I'm trying not to buy more but I did get the cute dress at the end of the video for $30 :)
Your hutch is a masterpiece, and in the process, you learned a new technique you may not have if you hadn’t struggled. There are no mistakes…..only learning opportunities!! Good job!!!
Love this piece! It is like looking at an amusement park wrapped up in a piece of furniture. Are you planning to keep it or sell it?
Wow! Love this piece! I really get you’re whole story. I too know we can invite tings into our lives that should not be there and it can really cause us grief. I also struggle with the creative process and can get caught up in trying to do too much to a piece. I appreciate that you persevere through it though and share the good and bad of the process with us.
God bless you Debi and your multi-talented heart! You are a blessing to us.
Querida DEBY.
Veo muchas veces tus videos...me alientan a pintar, siento que tengo un alma gemela en ti.
Muchas gracias por existir.
That turned out so beautiful. I'm glad you kept painting. It was pretty sad. You did everything absolutely perfect. ❤❤❤
Debbie I really enjoy watching you - your honesty is so refreshing! Thank you for the shout out and I hope to connect with you soon!
Thank you! Your work is so inspiring and beautiful, I didn’t realize you had a TH-cam channel until a few days ago I am watching your videos in my spare moments and Really enjoying your creative process, it’s very unique! I would love to connect with you!
I’d love that!!! 🤍
Yes, listen to your internal warnings . Love the piece, you make me wish I could paint. Sending you good vibes!❤
The wood pattern on the top was beautiful. This piece is very beautiful.
Debbie, I have been following for years and always enjoy your stories, whether cute funny or what have you.
I believe in opening doors to the spiritual world. Your wisdom is beautiful because it is God given. Nice to know that you are aware especially with all the pcs you bring into your life. So true.
My inner bohemian is loving this piece! Love watching your videos and hearing your stories. God bless.
I love your honesty, openess and creativity. So long as you are always genuine and true you will survive 🧡🧡🧡
This piece is gorgeous! I love your videos Debi! They brighten my sad days, and in that way, God is using you!
I can’t even see the whole piece and already I am in love with it!!!
Debbie, you are an absolute doll! And an amazing artist!!!!!
The results were worth the struggle because it turned out fabulous!💕
I’ve co-authored a whole book series on haunted objects. 😆 So I was excited to not only see a new video from you but definitely intrigued with this title. I own a variety of family heirloom pieces and have had no experiences so far 💕The buffet is beautiful btw.
Debi,I just love you and all you do! Keep up the great work and don't stress everything will be fine.
Beautiful piece!! Amazing story which hopefully will raise people's awareness to the world around them - both seen and unseen.
That is BEAUTIFUL! Your hard work paid off!!
It's very beautiful. You always amaze me with how much you persevere.
It’s so creative and beautiful! I want to look at every inch. I do love color!
This video reeled me in Deb!❤ Absolutely fell in love with ur channel! U totally R so awesome! & beautiful & so unique ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Dear Debi , I am really humble that you like my piece Esmeralda 🌺🦋🌺You have to know that you are the person who gave me the courage to paint and create from my heart without questioning myself. For all your teachings of life and art philosophy and your videos , Thank you 🌸🌺🙏🌺🌸
Your pieces are sooo inspiring!!!! I would love to see some video tutorials from you♥️ thank you for the inspiration Olivia♥️
@@DebisDesignDiary I was in your video group for a while but couldn’t keep up being in a long and difficult process of moving back „ home“ to the south of France … after settling down I might start with youtube charged of the courage you transmit to us all 🌸🦋🌸🌺
@@DebisDesignDiary … by the way … if DIY paint comes to Europe one day … I ☝️ apply to be your first retailer 😋
@@lacigaleboheme Wouldn’t that be wonderful!
@@DebisDesignDiary Oh oui !!! 🌺
This piece is absolutely beautiful!!! Don't be so hard on yourself on mistakes you make. They are happy accidents!!!!💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Debbie this is absolutely beautiful.....isnt it true the struggles we put ourselves through....I just love what you did....!!
well from following Kacha to finding you…. I love the Freeform design that you have. It’s truly beautiful 😍 ❤😊
I love how this turned out Debbie. Thank u for sharing❤️
Everything always works out in the wash and this, my friend, worked out beautifully 🥰
Wow, I think despite the extra work, she turned out beautifully. I do feel sometimes we need to go through these processes in order to get to that end goal. I'm sure this will sell quickly 😊
I do agree with you about not cleaning the dirt off. It gives texture!!!!
This turned out beautifully!! Anything that you get can have good or bad energy, antique or newtique. B
TW… the cards tell a story, there are no bad vibes unless you create it. They are no more powerful than a deck of playing cards. ❤️
Thank you Purple Petunia💜 I agree with the first part but not the second. Please be careful. Thank you for watching and sharing your point of view.
Awesome video, beautiful outcome to this piece. I agree with not open doors to harmful entities
that's a creepy story, gorgeous piece and so much teaching about products and your process.
My favorite piece you have ever painted❤
Love your stories! I’m with you! No dark things!! Music, movies or furniture 😘. Praise the Lord!!!
I love, love, love this piece. I want to learn how to create this look! I would love to meet you in Maryland. Checking the location & my schedule now!
Thank you for sharing your creativity and life experiences with us.
You are an amazing artist! I love your process even though takes longer, it is really extraordinary. God bless your talent. Love your stories..!!
I make a habit of saging a new piece, asking for any stagnant or negative energies to be cleansed and released from the piece and to fill it with love, light and healing. And then, I offer a blessing of happiness, health and prosperity for the new owner.
Wow wow wow! That is fantastic Debi!! Amen to what your mamma taught you!
Your “bad choices” sure are exquisite ❤️
I love how you just paint over the dirt. I would totally do that too if I had a clay based paint.
You saved that piece. Beautiful
The piece came beautiful! Love you Debbie 😍 💗 💓 💛 ♥ 😘 😍
Your beliefs are spot on and so is that piece of furniture.
Girl you are so relatable ❤
Love your stories……great video, and it turned out beautiful.
Love Aida’s work! Hope you circle back. 😘 So many styles in our artist world!
I love your stories and videos. I am trying to get the guts to paint a piece in the bright boho style that you create. Thank you for all of the inspiration you provide ❤
I just love your stories and so admire your painting techniques, I live in Northern Ontario.
