I used to stress about making everything just perfect before people came over but I have since learned that people care about relationships and making memories, they’re not checking to make sure my house is spotless. Knowing I am responsible to set the vibe of the get together, I try not to be rushing and apologizing for things not being the way I wanted them. We will have a fabulous time at your party and I am praying you can relax and enjoy yourself too. I wish I could come early and help get ready but I’m so happy I’m going to be there. Glad you took time to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

And it’s ok that you got a bunch of cool junk from your picker friend, it is probably something that happens fairly often for your store and this shows you that you can maintain this momentum and achieve your goal even as new stuff rolls in. It’s not static, your store and creativity keep going. I so wish I could travel to go to your craft party and celebrate with you all!

I think what I like the most about your videos is all the love and honesty and colors and music and sunsets and the mistakes and the oh wells. It’s so easy to get caught up in that. These days I make myself think about things, not rush to get an item. It’s hard family has to be on the same page or it doesn’t work. I know there’s lots of cool things to make over but realistically if you don’t have the room or you cant use it you don’t need it. You can do this but discipline is a hard won battle. Every day. Like our Christian walk some days forward some days we lose ground but we keep pushing on.

Gosh, we are so much alike. Color, wood, intricate designs, spacing of items, decorating cleaning, joy and happiness all come to play when we are entertaining. We know we have so many things that we want to finish and they shouldn’t matter, and no one will notice if they are not accomplished but us, but, we do it to ourselves every time. In fact, we thrive on it, it is what truly makes us us. I would drop everything and help you for free because I love all that you are. Just ask. BUT you got the video up - YOU DID IT!!!!!!!!!! You go to your shop all the time - but new customers or people attending your party will only see all that you have already accomplished and not know that something may not be finished. Most people are not as artistic as you and only see the things that make them say, "I wish I could do that" or "I could never do that". Have fun!

You can do it Debbie! I understand the excitement when there are bargains- very hard for a creative to pass up. I just had that pink bistro set pop up on Pinterest. Super cute. For me, before a party, or boutique- I know there are things I let go of as it draws closer. It’s hard to enjoy the pre-details because we have a vision. I totally get it. It’s putting our vision out to the world & we want it to execute! You are doing great & looks like you have a lot of help. People don’t realize putting up a video takes so much time, editing, etc. We don’t just throw it up there. It’s daunting. Keep the course!❤

@staciemarie - LOL - you’re right ! I remember those videos - he hated all her old “junk” ! Didn’t even want to go pick up cool stuff she would find ! My stepfather (who is sadly gone now) was like that, too - I remember years ago - maybe 20 - I brought home a pair of child-size Windsor chairs from an antique show - I fell in love with them - they were all chippy - even down to the bare wood in some spots- but perfect if you’re into that look - and the first time he saw them at my house, he says “you PAID MONEY for these ??? They’re ready to go to the dump!” But as the years went by & he would see a project I had distressed or made look rusted, etc., he would actually compliment me ! It grew on him slowly ! Thanks for triggering that nice memory of him for me ! Greetings & blessings from sunny Central Florida ! ☺️ P.S. Still have the chairs - still love them !
