I like the steel wool idea, didn't think of that for some reason myself. I do have to ask about airbrushing the inks. Those were acrylic water-based inks and i have tried some myself but with poor results. What do you thin them with, or do you run them un-thinned and a higher pressure through a smaller needle or something else?
@@ChoppersModelworks I'm the same way, I never think of something until I see it or hear of it somewhere else. I feel like I level up every time I learn something new. I thinned the inks down with distilled water but I also added some flow improver as well. The key is to thin them so they're basically tinted water. The pigmentation is quite high so that's why they're so vibrant compared to regular acrylic paint.
Thanks. Yes, it's probably the hardest yet most rewarding aspect of the hobby. I say jump right in and go for it. The worst thing is you'll have to strip the figure and start over. You can't win until you fail a few times. Good luck!
