The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight th-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!
My Day is made now😁 that's fishing for you.. Some days it's just dead and some days it's on fire!! But it's even better when you catching fish with a good friend and family and everyone is getting on and having fun 👌👍
Zander. Shows superb skills for an 8year old lad. There are not many young lads that can handle fish like zander. He always seems to be happy when fishing with his dad. 🎣🐟👌.
How can people give a thumbs down 👇 when a father and son are having a wonderful time together and bonding their relationship even further. You are legends. 👍
Congrats on Zanders outstanding fishing skills. Taught to him by his masterful dad off course. I am predicting that he will get his national colours by the age of 20. Sterkte boetman, Gaan voort!!
Xander, thank you once again for sharing an awesome video. You eventually won the fight, but how many stitches do you need? 😀 Well done Xandre on your catch. You can be justifiably proud and I bet your dad is. 👏👍
love your videos zander at night I watch it with my daughter and she falls asleep to your fishing videos so thanks brother... die ma raak al kwaad vir zoo look wat ek kyk.... hahahaha as ek nie by die water is nie is ek op youtube lmk.
Hi ZLF please advise me - maybe a bit of a basic question - I am new to spinning reels for rock and surf fishing. What do I look for when buying a reel (from Stilfishing of course) that can withstand the saltwater spray and near soaking you put yours through? Do you service yours after each trip like this and what is available without spending twin power/stella money. Thanks in advance!
Have a look at the saragosas. I only rinse them afterward...well, sometimes! Reels need to work as long as they wotk they are fine...they build corrosion once they are not used and the gears aren't moving...so I will do prevention services every few weeks to two months and a major service once a year.
@@zoolookfishing Thanks! reading up on the tech etc lead me to a seragosa as well. anything less than that and it seems you don't get much of shimanos tech and design that helps with longevity or am I missing something? Watched your entire rod & reel video as well and am leaning toward assassin horizon zero MH or evo heavy to pair it with as we often need to cast live bait here in Struisbaai. Keep up the great work with these videos
Congrats to your son, thats tough fishing for a youngster
