Piling wood the right way is an art form. My grandfather showed me how to do it when I was a kid. If it's done correctly, it will never rock and roll or tip over or fall apart. You will not need to use posts at either end and when finished, it will look like a work of art. It appeared that you have learned that art form, Mike. I enjoy watching your shows and having worked with heavy equipment, it becomes a part of me like an exoskeleton suit after about 15 minutes, so I like watching you and wishing I was there to show you some tricks of the trade. Also as far as the sawmill goes my grandfather had one with a vertical round blade and I spent hours working with him = he was a genius. He built it from scrap and made a living at sawing boards for everyone in the area. I never knew the man to make a wasted move, the very personification of efficiency. As for the numbering of your episodes, switch to a new numbering system; maybe the date of each episode or use an "A" series, then a "B" series denoting the year of each year's episodes. For example 1A, 2A 3A, and so on. Or 2K1A, 2K2A, 2K3A, etc. The 2K indicates the 2 thousand series (the next thousand videos) and the 1A indicates the episode number. Very few channels reach 1,000 episodes. Congratulations. By the way, I just shared you with my followers on Facebook and will continue to do so.
I admire how neatly you stack your lumber. The extra effort pays off in flat boards and easier access later. Doesn't mean I take the time, even knowing that; wish I could say I actually do things the way I know I should.
Hello Mr. Morgan, I’ve been watching your family channel for a while now and you are my favorite channel! What a beautiful red oak log you pulled from the pond. It appears to be clear all the way through. I think you know it’s worth big bucks! I hope you put it to good use and I look forward to seeing what it is used for. If I were you I would air dry it for a few months and then get it inside your new barn to season in the place it will be used in. I’m and old woodworker with 60+ plus years of experience and I’ve found this method the best way to good flat and dry lumber. Best regards Fred Thomas in Skokie IL. PS you have a lovely family
Maybe pressure wash that chicken coop and make a cool play house for Ty. That would ROCK. That red oak is Gorgeous! Your building looks much better with doors. Less like a project and more finished.
the numbers are handy so we can keep everything in order as we watch them. Sometimes us viewers dont watch constantly and have a few to catch up on. Nice to see them chronologically. Thanks again guys, great videos as always. Hey Archie the bozo dog haha
We have just moved from England to France, to our small farmhouse in the Charente area. Packed my shorts away and couldn't believe I had to get them out again at this time of year. We have just getting a quote for a woodburner can't wait. Love your posts. Say hi to Hunter.
Nice work Morgans. Anything worth doing is worth doing right...the first time. Also, I noticed that when y'all were stickering the lumber that some of the boards were cupping already. 72° in upstate South Carolina today. Have a productive day.
The land plane does a nice job, Beautiful Premium Lumber you could never buy wood like that at Lowes. I for one like the color of the garage doors glad you did not go dark. Down the road you can always paint match them to the building. Thank you for sharing your day.
I don’t have a vote....but I think the doors look great!! Sorry Melissa👍 I’m looking forward to the delivery video as I enjoy going along on the ride and seeing the gorgeous country! Hey Hunter, hope you are enjoying this great weather with a Spicy BK Chicken sandwich...you and your family Have A Day!
Wonderful video. Amazing how time flies while watching your show. Fresh dump of snow in central Alberta. Temps are hoovering around freezing for the next 10 days so it may stay white for a while. Thank you for sharing your day
I had to replace a panel on my insulated garage door at my previous home. It was very easy to paint to match the existing panels that were already on it. Not a big deal to paint them all after you get everything done if you want it to match the siding. Pretty easy now a days to get the paint to be a very close match, as you know.
I tend to binge watch your series ... i miss a few days, then catch up a week later. Having the episodes numbered is very helpful in keeping the sequence and flow of events. Try to keep the episode # somewhere. All the best from Ontario Canada.
Mike. I agree with Malissa that door colour is not good. Frankly it spoils the look of a great building. Time get the paint and sprayer out and match the too either of the two colours. I’d prefer the dark brown but it would be interesting to see what the family vote on the colour would be. Whatever they have to match. You did such a great job picking the building colour the right door colour will finish it off.
Hey Morgans great video and you folks are have some nice weather looked like a nice day. That red oak is beautiful there was one slab in the beginning of stacking that was beautiful the forth to eighth slab wow what color so awesome you folks have a good day see you tomorrow got to go split some wood today. Great video and thanks for sharing
Know I am repetitive on this but that Red Oak is fantastic. The boards you got out of just that first is unreal. Had a ball[ha] with leaves and tree limbs yesterday and this morning clean-up. Hope your day is a safe one for you and yours.
Mike it was 78 in Sioux falls on Saturday today 74 little windy but still warm we had 4 inches of snow two weeks ago here, but that melted fast, last year at this time we had 22 inches of snow and bitter cold, So I guess my Sun Dance really worked so its my fault its warm, but I heard its going to snow on monday, hope not, well have a great day
I had the same problem with the garage doors on our metal shop building. I made everyone happy by painting the doors a matching color. Problem solved. 11 years later and I can"t tell any difference and the paint is adhered very well still.
Mike - that grass you planted is coming in nice! I used the same seed, spreader, and method with the straw that I saw on your videos and my new grass is already to mow! I keep learning things from your videos - thank you for taking the time to make them...
Hello Mike,Melissa,Hunter,Hanna,Eva, and Levi and Family. I was off work last winter with hip infection and I stumbled across your channel. I first thought look at that guy can't even drive a tractor because he was so slow and he was just using a pretty girl to get attention lol.Boy was I wrong about Mike, But Melissa is still pretty lol. I was off work for over !0 months and by using your number system I think I watched all your videos.I admire Mikes work ethic and perfection. I'm back to work now and sometimes I'm on the road for 2 weeks or so.When I get home I use your number system to watch your missed videos in order.I find you tube is all over the place,if I'm watching Mike one day sawing wood on the sawmill, then the next thing I know TH-cam takes me somewhere else with saw mills.for people new to your channel i think the best way to see all your videos is to keep your numbers.thats my 2 cents worth lol.By the way I have a johndeere 2320 and I learned a lot from Mile how to spread gravel, etc.slow and steady that's what I'm doing now with much better results. Thanks
Good morning from the Western Ozarks farm. I’m getting ready to empty the truck bed, then blow some leaves off the driveway. That will have me mostly ready for some high school classmates to show up about noon. Understand they’re bringing fish to fry and there may be some target shooting happening. Deer all over the place last night and more this morning. -- Your red oak boards are awesome. The doors will grow on you I think. Enjoy the day - we have one of those here too.
Hey Mike and family. I was going to say that it seems ages ago that you said you were waiting for your garage doors and, hey presto, there they are. The building looks great, keep the videos coming, and stay safe. From the uk.
The weather has been great the past week today I did my final leaf and yard cleanup and winter prep stuff, it was 72 degrees blue skies beautiful shorts and t-shirt weather, normally when I do it its like 40 degrees and nasty weather
I think you should have a cement pad with walls under your firewood pile so you don't scoop up rocks and you can just get in there with the bucket or skidloader. Reinforce the walls that way you can push against them if you have to.
Mike, So nice to see you doing the things you do, in such a Beautiful setting. Saddens me to think that my great state, just as beautiful in times past, has become such an embarrassment. You provide a view of what should be most Americans view of normal. Keep up the great work, God bless you and your family. OG
Hey Morgans! Have you thought of doing a 1000th episode give-away? MAybe Ariat will get on board with you for something nice? Anyway, that oak sure is nicely figured. As for the garage doors, I don't think you'll really even notice in a bit, you'll just be used to them. Have A Day!!
The weather has been incredible! My wife and I went out kayaking Saturday up here in NH, which never happens in November! It was a little strange kayaking around with no leaves on the trees.
I'm sure you've already thought of this but the chicken coop, power washed and painted, benches inside, chalk board etc. would make a great playhouse for Ty
Mike, it is a shame that they can't get an exact match for the garage doors. I ran into the same situation with mine. Litestone siding and the doors were suppose to be litestone and its definitely a different color but it grew on us too!
It is amazing just how heavy fresh cut lumber is. Some 15 years ago we had a guy from Hookstown Pa with a portable mill come saw maybe 15 logs for us over in Darlington. Spent the day pulling lumber off the mill and stacking onto a couple hay wagons until we could restack and sticker it later. Heavy days worth of work.
Coffee and the Morgan’s, great Saturday start to a spectacular Northwest Indiana November day! High today of 73°, unbelievable! I like the color of the doors, it adds contrast to your building! Plus, love any video with Hunterman doing a cameo! Love from Portage Indiana! 🙏🏻👏👍💗🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Ok sorry Mike, I missed this video but the garage doors look fine.i like the color and style and being insulated is a good thing too. Those red oak boards are amazing.im guessing they will be used in the finishing of the hobby/game room possible . Can't wait to see the new tubing got the heated concrete floor going in.any word on that yet? Its been absolutely beautiful down here in western NC also. . But looks line Eta the tropical storm is pushing north and we will be dealing with lots of wet weather starting Tuesday on and off for about a week .thats suck and will be the final blow to our leaf season.. Be safe up there in PAensylvania.
Great to see the aerial videos by the Mavic, makes it real professional. Your videos are a credit to you Mike, always enjoy them, and I know with the Mavic they will get even better, regards David . . .
Mike... When you were loading the trailer at the woodpile with the drone view, I was strongly reminded of how a Russian documentary would be presented with the music being a Russian chorus in the background...very dramatic when you get reminded of that.... Gary
Good morning Morgan's I just got back from working away from home for a month just in time to go to the hunting camp for the last week of the rifle hunt. It sure will be nice to get back in the bush. Cheers and have a day
I'm glad you all enjoyed yesterday!, I was on the porch with a cup of coffee this morning listening to the birds just a singing away!. We are getting things ready for winter but I hope it's a mild one like last year. You guys enjoy another great day!, oh what ever you do with the numbering on your videos doesn't matter I get alerts when you have a new one out !.
Like the drone footage. Maybe add the takeoff footage too and one 360 turn each time you use the drone so we can see the foliage as the seasons change.

Beautiful stack of Lumber that will look wonderful when you use it in the new building!!👍👊

Enjoyed the video 👍👍👍❤️
Once the concrete is poured, the color of the garage door may really look nice. Thanks for the video!
Stacking and Sticking 101! Love it!
Pie Town Larry
Smart compromise on the numbering! Thanks!
Keep up the great work!

Keep the numbers so easy to follow !!
We used to call this Indian summer, a week of sunny warm days after a hard frost.
I tend to binge watch your series ... i miss a few days, then catch up a week later. Having the episodes numbered is very helpful in keeping the sequence and flow of events. Try to keep the episode # somewhere. All the best from Ontario Canada.

Wonderful. I appreciate all y'all do. I'm happy that you figured out a way to keep the numbering. Have a great day.
I like the numbers too. It makes it easy to see the progression of your projects if I get behind or want to look back.
Indian Summer is here in full force.

Mike! Love the Drone!
Paint the doors to match the brow trim. Keep the wife happy. Life is more fun that way.
Good morning from NW Ohio! It’s gorgeous here, too. Heading out to blow leaves and enjoy this weather.
At 18:00 I was waiting for the line of monks to appear, very effective music but thought there would be an appearance coming from the new hobby barn!

Hey Mike and family. I was going to say that it seems ages ago that you said you were waiting for your garage doors and, hey presto, there they are. The building looks great, keep the videos coming, and stay safe. From the uk.
That is some beautiful oak. You have the vast responsibilty to use it to best effect in your office. It is a moral imperative.
TV goes off, coffee, Morgan's= good start for the day!
You go girl!!
Beauitful lumber mike
Good morning

Great video guys! Love the light color on your doors for the new building. Keep up the good work and stay safe!
Yay new episode! Loving these videos so much that I just drop what I am doing to watch.
Grew up stacking lumber. My uncle owned a big sawmill. Miss the smell everyday.
Love the videos and the lifestyle! God bless!
I'm sure you've already thought of this but the chicken coop, power washed and painted, benches inside, chalk board etc. would make a great playhouse for Ty
I use the numbers to make sure I don’t miss any of your videos.
I am soooo surprised you didn't put that nice of red oak in the wood shed to dry and take one side of implements out.
Mike, it is a shame that they can't get an exact match for the garage doors. I ran into the same situation with mine. Litestone siding and the doors were suppose to be litestone and its definitely a different color but it grew on us too!

Can't wait to see the LX55 sawmill in action, considering buying one and would like to see you running it.

Morning to you. What beautiful weather we’ve been having. Nicest fall I can remember. Love your music. Great day to be outdoors.
Ok sorry Mike,
I missed this video but the garage doors look fine.i like the color and style and being insulated is a good thing too.

Be safe up there in PAensylvania.
Thanks for the inspiration. I am cutting cherry on my sawmill today, Ian running out of rom to store it.
Put the 2X4s between the slates on edge
Melissa:. You certainly seem to enjoy clearing the sawdust off of those beautiful boards! Must be very satisfying! #sawdustchic!!!❤️💪🙏
Great to see the aerial videos by the Mavic, makes it real professional. Your videos are a credit to you Mike, always enjoy them, and I know with the Mavic they will get even better, regards David . . .
Loving this weather too... but could use a few extra hours of daylight to go with it :-)
59degrees here in southern Minnesota this morning, firearms deer opener. Crazy warm for us this time of year.
Mike... When you were loading the trailer at the woodpile with the drone view, I was strongly reminded of how a Russian documentary would be presented with the music being a Russian chorus in the background...very dramatic when you get reminded of that.... Gary
Who hoo 2 nd in line. Beautiful day
Enjoyed. Have a great day.

I too get alerts. The numbering is easy to go back to or tell a friend what to watch!
I understand what you are saying.
Like the drone footage. Maybe add the takeoff footage too and one 360 turn each time you use the drone so we can see the foliage as the seasons change.
Will miss the numbers maybe, but I rarely miss a day so not a big deal. Do like those overhead shots, a nice add with that birthday gift.
I like the color of the doors
