- One of the main selling features of the ROG Ally is the 1080p 120hz display, but there are many games that you will struggle to play at 120fps. After trying hundreds of games, I am going to be showing you 20 (or more) game that run at 120fps (or more)
ALL the games are running at 1080p without any FSR or any upscaling method.

Nice. Ive been using my Ally as a backlog machine. I have so many older gems I never touched. I started playing the 2013 Tomb Raider after getting the entire trilogy for free via Epic. Holy hell I can run it at 1080P high settings over 60fps and it still looks amazing for a 10 year old game. Loving my Ally so far.
Yeah playing games from that Xbox 360 generation is amazing on the Ally screen.
I am doing the same thing. Death Stranding, RDR2 campaign and Gears 5 campaign.
I'm treating my ally the same wat. I'm not looking to play the latest triple A games. I'm currently playing AC Black Flag, Bioshock and New Vegas.

everyone got these gaming pc handheld for the latest triple A games, man, while me got an Ally to play the Triple A games of decades ago, playing tomb raider, assassins creed, batman games, everything that's 2015 below, all run smooth like butter on Ally at 90-120fps, i love it! theres tons i havent played during these times and imma enjoy it before i go to the new ones!

I never understood why people want a billion fps and your eyes don't really notice past 60
It really varies person to person since we don't see life in fps. It's kind of like how some people think vinyl records sound better (including be) while some people think the mp3 sounds exactly the same. I personally have a hard time seeing any benefit in anything over 120hz, but some blind tests I've seen people can correctly pick out 60, 120, 165, 240 etc. Whenever I play 120 long enough when I go back to 60 it looks choppy 🤷♀️

If your eyes can only see 60 fps you should probably see a doctor.

Could you please do a video showcasing a ton of games at 1440p medium settings with just the IGPU on external monitor? Even if they run badly, I'd be really curious to see like a couple dozen game examples to really get an idea of how well it can work at 1440p and say a bunch of old games and new games and simple games like Rocket League, Sons Of The Forest, the original Alan Wake, and Guilty Gear Strive. Really interested in this as my first windows PC and curious how far I can stretch it in this way! Thanks a lot of your videos

MORE FPS. This system is amazing. I love this machine. I get roughly 2 hours playing Hogwarts Legacy @720p 40FPS with AMD FSR enabled and the games looks great. Just get a portable battery pack and you are pretty much solid if you want more time to game on it, but to me 2 hours is solid anyways. Amazing 2nd Gen Handheld Gaming PC. Even docked this thing runs super well @ 1080p. I also disabled turbo boosted to help battery life and temps and disabled 8 cores so that I have 8 to match the steam deck. ASUS will update this more as it goes once, they figure out how to optimize more battery life @ a lower TDP or someone will find a way to do that with Windows. I can play most AAA games.

The ROG Ally is the best way to play games I purchaed years ago during Steam sales and never even touched. I dont even bother using medium settings. Very high/ultra all the way lol
I've been playing Persona 5 Royal and Octopath Traveler 2 on my ROG Ally, feels so good to play persona 5 at 120fps on the go!

It is hot, but never where you are holding it

@@dudeman6480 not really. The fans work great at managing the heat and you can make custom fan curves if you want. I say it’s hot, but it’s not overheating.
Out of the box on turbo its around 90 degrees. But the Ally has an awesome community and with a few tweaks mines now at 70 degrees on full power mode.

Halo Reach Ran great - 170+ FPS for me. Went on to Halo CE and it’s buggy as hell and consistently crashes/freezes.

No point in not running them at 720 with super resolution
It was the point of this test. Of course there are many games that will hit 120fps at 720p with FSR, but this video is focused on games that run at 1080p 120fps because that is the native. 👍🏽
Dont get the 120 hz hype.. 60 hz on a smal screen is more than enough and strikes a good balance between battery and performance
It’s great that the option is there for those you want it. Plus the great thing about the screen is the variable reference rate! You don’t need to run it at 120hz but I think it’s great to experience games at 120fps 👍🏽

Freesync doesn't work if you select the 60Hz mode. You don't have to run games at 120fps, just use the 120Hz mode.
