She shouldn't of just said "somebody call 911", the bystander effect would have made it likely that no one would. She should've pointed to a person in the building and said "You, call 911" This is how you dispel the bystander effect.
my exact thoughts. I wasnt aware of this fact untill i discovered it by myself. I saw an accident where guy fall don from bike. the people gathered around and did nothing, nobody even called an ambulance. Somehow it clicked me and i call on people to help the guy lie down on floor, one guy to remove helmet and one guy to call an ambulance. i guess people get frightened and shocked to have that thought process to do something that would help with the situation.

Nice to see small organizations realize the importance of humor in education. Lighting could have been much better and the dancing, now that was funny. The dead guy is not camera shy but at least had energy and a personality.

Btw, I recently read an article about AC/DC's song Thunderstruck making the chemicals used in some cancer treatments perform well above expectations. Something about the beat (which is a split tempo) and the combo of Brian screaming and Malcolm's heavy and constant rhythm. I don't know it the chemicals are isolated and put in a room with the song playing or if the patient listens to the song while undergoing the treatment. But its dang interesting and ironic. "That cancers been...........THUNDERSTRUCK!!!"

I TeachFirst Aid, and in particular CPR, in Auckland, New Zealand. I teach school age students, apprentices, (18+ yrs) etc. I am a firm believer in the fact that any CPR is good CPR. But I do think that the depth of compressions should be stressed at one third of the depth of the chest, or 5cm. Staying Alive is good. Row, row, row your boat is good too.

its good to ask a specific person to call 911 because if you just say, SOMEONE PLEASE CALL 911 people think someone else will call 911, so they dont have to and ends up with no one calling 911

When did she check his pulse/breathing? if you just randomly start cpr on anyone whose heart is still beating you can (worst case scenario) cause it to stop just as well as you might break ribs and damage other parts of the body. furthermore he didnt even mention (i dont exactly know what its called) breathing into the victims mouth. that should be done 30/2 -> 30 compressions and 2 breaths. cant believe he calls himself a doctor while giving such shit advices
