Fun fact: There's an old myth surrounding Mozart's Requiem which says that it was commissioned by a masked figure dressed entirely in black that once came in Mozart's house
Now take a look at Chariot Requiem's design
Yeah araki based it off of that which is GENIIUS
I saw this stuff in the movie "Amadeus" that tells the story of Mozart, the design is quite bizarre
A figure in black, which points at him.
@@Lavender_Fox OH NOOOOOOOOO

The Aerosmith "Dude looks like a lady" references was really intentional right ARAKI????
What about song of Notorious B.I.G. called "Life after death"

2:08 it's worth noting that "Schizoid" doesn't mean like, schizophrenic, it refers to someone who isolates themself, is disinterested in social relationships, etc. Which still applies to Diavolo, although much less so Doppio.
It refers to schizoid personality disorder and the fact that people in the 21st century would be more detached from each other than ever before
But, Diavolo isn't bipolar

@@Mechjeb661 Probably something Araki stated.
@@Mechjeb661 Wait, I know, it says in the video around 2:30 minutes. I mean it sounds like classical music to me and don't come with baroque or romantic or anything.
@@Mechjeb661 hehe ^^
Diego Brando It says in the video that this artist is one of Abbacchio’s favorites, and it sounds pretty classical to me.
@@Mechjeb661 dude, that's literally Monteverdi, a very prominent classical composer. It also says that one of Monteverdi's pieces is his favorite song.
The fact that Diavolo is, in fact, a 21st Century Schizoid Man is probably my favourite music reference in all of JoJo

Man died at the dawn of 21st century.
Also at the dawn of time
Also at the end of time.
Also beyond those last two points.
It is referencing Diavolo being a psychopath not his Dissociative Identity Disorder which is completely unrelated to schizophrenia
I love how different the Grateful Dead Stand is from the actual band. The band is just a chill jam band and the Stand is some Lovecraftian demon
relax, no need to be using the L word now
Fun Fact: the first run of Sticky Fingers on vinyl had a working zipper on the cover, allowing you to peek at the cover model's briefs
It's the funniest thing...nowadays all the homophobic classic rock grandpas complain about all 'young people music' being gay for some reason and then one of their favorite albums literally shows a man's crotch and the opportunity, if not suggestion, to peek in the zipper lol
It's so funny to make them remember how liberal and hedonistic theri favorite time period really was! Other goodies that they apparently missed by the Rolling Stones were the fact that the 'red lips' logo is Mick Jagger's lipsticked pout and that the man starred in a movie as an explicitely bisexual rock star.
But yeah sure...nowadays the democrats are turning the frogs gay, there was no queerness to be found anywhere ever in the good ol' times :D

King Crimson's 21st Century Schizoid man, and Diovolo/doppio are the same person
Phillip Salvidor But isn’t a Schizoid someone with a disorder that makes them not value human relationships and makes them cold and shy? How does that connect to Diavolo being Doppio?
@@santiagoossa2301 you are absolutely right and I mostly went off assumptions. My bad, in that regard, the reference makes that much more sense😂

Though I am a King Crimson fan, I didn't realize until after finishing the series that every track on their initial album applies to Diavolo/Doppio. In addition to the one's you mention, "Moonchild" is an adequate description of Doppio, and "I Talk to the Wind" could describe his "phone" conversations.
How can Mista like The Carpenters that’s four syllables
So is Guido Mista
Mista: STOP GOD PLEASE STOP
Please, he has more contraddictions than that xD. For example ? Each episode he gets shot by 4 of his own bullets, the pattern on his Calvin Klein shirt are square.. 4 Angles. My dude Better not Discover this, he might faint

1:43 Oh, so cute! 555
.-.
I'm pretty sure this is just a coincidence and not actually a reference, but among the items Doppio used as "phones" are a cigarette, an ice cream cone, and a doll. This coincides with the line "Cigarettes, ice cream, figurines of the Virgin Mary" from King Crimson's "The Great Deceiver" (the title of which refers to Satan).
Acho que se referir ao Santana (se é que vc me entendi) é um pouco pesado
I've always loved how Mista's favourite artist is Carpenters.
Something that might have been mentioned is the fact that Mista's gun is chambered in .38 Special, which is also the name of a band. It may not be a reference, since that's a very common caliber for revolvers and is basically the default for small revolvers like Mista's, but I'd be very surprised if Araki wasn't aware of the connection.
I just noticed that a majority of the stands/characters of part 5 are named after Bands instead of just musical works, in comparison to the other parts where things were mainly named after songs instead of bands
3:11 Kami no, sadame no sae...
