This totally showed me that it is really worth sticking with one main planner and journal for the year, because it is so beautiful and looks so satisfying to have a completed planner/journal at the end of the year 😍.

The fact that you can look back on your past (even if recent) and see where to celebrate and where to adopt better habits or mindsets is how evolution happens. You aren’t afraid to point out your weaknesses and you actively work to improve. That self-development unto itself is a main goal of life, and your honesty and action make it even more admirable. Planners and writing do encompass creativity, but they should also, in my opinion, be actual tools to serve us. You show up and do the hard things, Helen, not only by writing and working every day, but also by taking us along on your journey. That is worth applauding. This my first year of using a "real" planner, and I opted for the Day-Free Cousin because I was just *sure* I'd never be able to write something every day, and then I'd feel bad about it. But watching this, I think maybe next year I'll try it, and not hold myself to such strict ideas of what I "should' do on the daily pages. Thank you for sharing!

Books to read: Empire of Pain Just so you know, I also have down periods or days. They seem random at times, as in no trigger. A video called (something along the lines of) Emotional Midwinters helped me be ok with that. Also, keep in mind that you can feel down before your period. I always forget that it happens to me sometimes and then later on I realize why.

I never use the Hobonichi planners. The thinness of the paper gives your written pages (and their ghosting) the look and feel of newspaper pages.📰😊

For this year I bought a hobonichi in A6 to journal because the A5 felt a little too big. But if I keep journaling daily in 2023 then I think that I might try the cousin next year... But first things first: making a habit out of journaling 😊

It depends on the size of the planners, the a5 cousin is in the $60 range.
