- Hurricane Milton plowed into Florida as a Category 3 storm Wednesday, bringing misery to a coast still ravaged by Helene, pounding cities with winds of over 100 mph (160 kph) after producing a barrage of tornadoes, but sparing Tampa a direct hit.

While I empathize with the people affected by this storm our news and government officials seem to have lost their ability to review the recorded history of storms that have struck the Continental United States. Sensationalism at it's best trying to get everyone to believe the narrative that they are spewing. Before reporting I suggest that they check the records over the past 100 years
