tent stakes. msr groundhog stakes. best tent stakes. best stakes for camping hiking and backpacking - บันเทิง
More like this, please. I’m not a through hiker, so I don’t want to spend tons on gear.
I’m buying this tent ASAP.
there's still plenty of good gear that's cheaper. for this amount you can get a hammock, tarp and groundsheet, mosquito net and even a sleeping pad.
Paria has many fantastic products and I've used several of them on weekend trips and my AT thru hike. The 30 degree quilt is definately worth it, too.
@@gregmortonoutdoors I have their 15° quilt and when I wanted a second set of straps they sent it to me.
I'm happy with their customer service and my quilt, but in my current setup I attach my quilt to my backpack (or a rock or something) so the quilt stays in place and I don't have to undo anything to go pee.
@Ray Nulod yes, their customer service is fantastic and better than a lot of the bigger companies. Check out their spiral Y stakes, same thing as the MSR Groundhogs but for much less $.
@@gregmortonoutdoors I have a bad tendency to bend my aluminum stakes at the notch so if I'm car camping, out come the heavy steel, round stakes. I'll take a look at theirs.
I actually ended up getting the Zion 1p because I personally don't like front opening tents. The customer service staff was incredible and the owner of the company sent me and replied to a personal email. Nothing but good things to say about Paria and their team.
I love this concept of videos. This camping community and exploded in the last handful of years, and I'm starting to notice that brands are taking over. Over paying for gear, buying just for the latest trend, etc. Camping doesn't need to be about the "highest quality" gear or coolest and latest models. It's about enjoying nature, spending time with others, and crushing the challenge at hand. Keep grounded, friends!!
It sure is! Everything you said…😊
🔨 Nailed it.
I own this tent and their trekking pole tent, also sleeping pad and quilt. Great customer service and great affordable products!
I actually bought this tent last year for my 65th bday Appalachian Trail run...
I also bought their 15 degree quilt...( from watching one of your tent reviews ) Ty
Where can this tent be purchased? Also, any insights you’d like to share about it’s performance in strong wind, heavy rain etc..?
I bought the two person as I like to spread out. I set it up in the rain and it poured all night and I stayed dry!
The Lanshan 2 is a 2 person tent, less than 3lbs, and costs about the same. It’s a trekking pole tent but most people have trekking poles when doing long hikes/backpacking. I’ve had mine a year now and it’s amazing.
is it hard putting up?
on on the fence between something like in the vid or the lanshan 2
thanks ~~
@@campbubI think it’s pretty darn easy; only took me a few times to get a perfect pitch every time and set up in under 5 minutes. There are a couple videos on TH-cam that show how to get a perfect pitch but essentially the trick is to start with all your rain fly straps and guy lines as loose as they will go and then tighten after it’s propped up by the trekking poles. I will say that a free standing tent is nice for sandy areas but I’ve been able to get around that by tying slipknots around rocks and using those in place of tent stakes or just finding really long sticks and cutting notches and using those as long stakes for super sandy areas. The only time I’ve had to deal with this is a few spots on the rogue river and a few other river bank camp sites. Also, with the Lanshan if you want to set it up without the rain fly you have to take the fly off first and then set it up as opposed to just being able to take the rain fly off after it’s already set up; I always have the rain fly on since I live in a very wet climate with bipolar weather (PNW) and if it’s warm I’ll just roll up both vestibules and that gives me plenty of airflow. I really love my Lanshan. Hope this helps! 😁🤙🏻
Have this tent and absolutely love it. Lifetime warranty, affordable cost, and quality product. I bought it after using their down mummy bag for a while, which I LOVE. I’ve used it in the snow in Mongolia and it withstood the climates perfectly. Tent is out of stock all the time because it goes so quick! Probs will be even quicker now lol
it's a "Naturehike - Cloud up". I've been using one for years. decent tent.
yes yes YES! i bought my Zion tent from them because of your videos, and also purchased a sleeping quilt from them, and immediately snagged their sleeping pad months later when i saw someone list it on facebook marketplace! love their gear
Oooh perfect for when I go backpacking with my half person friend.
😂
They are called little people :p
I'm going to start calling my dog my half person friend now
After all the cookies and Cheez-it’s I just ate (and wine), I am one and a half persons.
My half person friend is my Labrador
This is timely and perfect for me right now. Looking to outfit my grown children as well as myself. Our gear is worn and replacing is much more expensive than I thought. Thank you!
I love my Paria. I tried a smaller, tent-pole tent and it drove me nuts. I’m back to my cute, yellow Paria.
Glad to see you’ve finally realized that there’s amazing equipment out there that can budgeted under $600 unlike many of your prior budget videos of $1800 which was truly a joke. I’ve been using Paria Outdoors equipment for years now. I have their sleeping bags, quilts, pads, and a tent by them. I also use Featherstone Outdoors equipment as well. Although I use these two on my shorter trips for basecamp and day hikes, doesn’t mean I won’t use them on longer trips if needed. I also have much more expensive gear that’s lighter that I do use on my longer multi week trips, but would not hesitate to use either of the two companies I’ve listed. I’ve also been use Decathlons products for years also, and I’ve seen lately you and countless other “big” names are on the trend of decathlon also
I LOOOOVE YOU DUDE. I’ve been geeking out so hard over outdoor, survival, camping, hiking gear since Boy Scouts and as an adult during COVID!!you are the exact channel and input I’ve been looking for, just subscribed can’t wait to see all your advice and gear! I’m totally nerding out right now!
LOVE Pariah Outdoors. And Kudos for pronouncing it correctly. I have their quilt and XL pad and they are awesome. I have a few tents, but have been tempted to get the Bryce. Their stuff is super top notch for a fraction of the cost of the "big guys".
I got the one person and used the tent all last summer. It was great! Kept me dry during some pretty strong rain, held up really well, and had plenty of room. The tent bag starting coming apart a bit, but nothing a needle and thread could not fix.
I have one just like this from the 90’s. It was my dads, I got it when he passed away. Fully setup and ready to go in 5 minutes. It’s my favorite piece of camping gear
In the UK this is the Naturhike Cloud 1 upgrade 1.
I found this Paria tent after lots of research for bikepacking 3 years ago. It is so awesome and has withstood heavy winds and heavy rains. I also use Paria's Ti 1100cc pot and spoon. Their 3/4 sleeping pad isn't bad for R, comfort and price. Great custy service too!
Have their 15 degree quilt and Recharge air pad. They have great customer service and very good products! More ppl need to know of them. They don't have great marketing but more people need to know about them.
Because of you I bought the two person version. I haven’t regretted it for a second! Thanks Dan!
I love their xl sleeping pad too. Very durable and 4” thick! The weight is reasonable for what you get.
I have the 2P and it has been great
I have this exact tent, except its made by naturhike. Mine has snow skirts and is a 2 person. It has a 4000mm hh and I paid £112. I love it. I'm still getting an xmid in February though
Looks a lot like if not the same tent as Naturehike Cloup-up 1p.
I got my 3 person tent for 14 bucks on clearence
Thank you!!!
I got the 3fulgear Lanshan Pro 2 4 season (2 Person) which weighs 2 lbs and it's just under 200$ and it's great (at least for rainy summer season, haven't tried it out in winter yet. It fits the neoair wide and the backpack comfortably. And they ship to the EU. It needs two poles tho, but I really like it so far.
It's only a 1 walled one though.
Is this a white label product? It looks nearly identical to the version from NatureHike and the Near Zero version Dan just reviewed. The prices are significantly different though
I have this tent. Love it! I got the Arches 2 person. I use it anytime I am taking the dogs. Saving my Zpack for linger trips. Best money I ever spent!
I’ve had one for over 3 years. The first had a hole in the floor pan, a quick email and I had a whole new tent in 4 days!!!
I'm gonna try it. I'll take your word
This tent is exactly like the Naturehike brand, model cloud. I have one and use it at all my backcountry hikes. Super lightweight!
Naturehike tent is still the best cheapest tent ever!!!!!
I got their double sleeping pad. Satisfied.
I have this tent and love it!!
These haven’t been in stock since like last may 😢
Yeah these mf homeless people keep buying them up
Good looking out sir. Going to check this one out!
It easily fits inside of a "backpacking backpack". 😆 Noice.
I think I have a -20 sleeping bag from them. It’s great, and it kept me warm at -13 👍
I wonder what came first, this, or the Naturehike cloud up tent 🧐
Seems like a real good value to me. Thanks for the vid. 👍🏻
Perfect for camping with my other half.
I might need to look into this! I actually bought and used a Paria SilTarp for my hammock not knowing the brand, but it worked out really well until I upgraded to a Dutchware tarp with end flaps to keep out wind, cold, and bad weather (although the Paria did hold up very well in the rain, it wouldn't offer protection in wind or colder temperatures). With previous Paria experience, I would trust their tent, and wouldn't mind trying some ground sleeping from time to time, lol.
I use the Featherstone obsidian 1 person tent and love it. When I bought it, it was under $150. You should check it out
Thank u!!
i love mine!
Is It better than cloud up 1 from naturehike?
Tbh, I LOVE the idea of tarps and dyneema. I have a 2 person tent which clearly isn't light weight, but... it's exactly the right amount of comfort, size, vestibule, privacy... it's just awesome.
It was hella cheap, and so far, whichever tent I hold against it (at a price I can afford), it just beats them
This is AWESOME!
Ordering...
I have the paria arches 2 person tent, and my first trekking pole tent. I can never get a good pitch. It’s fine on the outside, but the inside is saggy. It’s killing me that the inside isn’t right. If you ever get a chance to do a tent pitching video, maybe you can do that one and show me what the heck I’m doing wrong lol
I have the Arches 2 as well with the same problem. I've found if you tie off the guy lines on the head and foot of the rainfly either upwards or directly straight out, it resolves the problem.
@@gregmortonoutdoors I’ll give that a whirl! Thanks!
Their bivy is also a really good deal for ultralight backpacking. I also own their down Quilt, which is another good deal
Thanks!
Thank you!!!
Even cheaper if you buy directly from Alibaba
I'd like to see more like this. This fully reviewed, gear reviews.. man, you're prof outdoors..
Shame its not fully freestanding, you had to peg out the vestibule?
Scared the crap outa me Dan lmao. Great vid
Wish I could get one of these in Japan 😢!
I have this one too
Thanks for the video Dan. I have been looking at upgrading my single wall on a budget. Still kind of leaning mountainsmith morrison EVO on sale in a similar budget, but will look into this tent and similar.
Thank you
Wild Country Helm 2 , best value tent on the planet 🇮🇪🇮🇪
Like I stated on IG, you didn't mention that Paria has a lifetime warranty.
Paria has good gear
Mr. Becker…. ROCKS!!!😊
To me it looks like the naturehike cloud up 1 or 2.
Or are there big differences I didn't notice.
I don't see the vent on the front. Otherwise it looks the same.
Do a review on the Argali tent and some reviews on Near zero gear both small company’s making great stuff
Sounds pretty nice
love their trekking pole tent also
Ive been looking at their trekking pole tent. What has been good and bad about their tent based on your experience?
I have a Marmot Eclipse! It's tiny and since I am also tiny it's perfect.
I prefer my DD Hammocks Pyramid Tent!
Hey Dan what’s that red Patagonia jacket called? Can’t seem to find it.
Nemo Hornet ultralight is pricey but always slept on I’ve had it years
Any advice for a small free standing light weight bike packer tent that would suit moto camping? Too many options and gives me a headache lol
yes this is great ive been wanting a new tent i like my current one but want to go backpacking i normally car camp.
Do you have a beginner two person tent option as well?
i got a hundred dollar tent for Christmas and its like a one person coffin, should be amazing haha
I will look into that for sure
Is this tent similar to the nature hike cloud up 1p? I tried that tent and it wasn’t long enough for me (6’1”)
This is a nature hike
They have another one that is raised off the ground like a cot too
My tent was 30$ and weather proof it. I live in California where it doesn’t rain in the summer or for 255 days out of the year it’s 🌞 🎉
The Featherstone 1p and the Kelty late start 1p are also around the same price point freestanding and approx 3lb 👍
Can you tell me anything about the ampex codazzi 2 broke my foot so haven't been able to try it
Are you the guy that got recued out of the grand canyon? Hahahha
Hey Dan! You’re my fav man! Excited your channel is growing. Any feedback on the 2-person tent in this brand? Do you know if it will allow 2-25” sleeping pads?
Thanks buddy, Harold
welp..thats gonna be outta stock soon
I have the Arches 2p tent by them and it's killer for the price.
How does it compare to the Northface Storm Break?
The best and possibly the cheapest tent is the River Country products Trekker Tent 2.2
Looking for a new tent. Honestly, is it as good as you say? What about staying dry, my problem is leaking tents. Do you know how it compares to the 1p Zion?
It will keep you dry
Any chance you are willing to talk to students at a college ?
Is everything you do measured in "tons"?
Looks identical to the Naturehike Cloud Up 1, might be a good alternative if someone can’t get this one 👍
its 233$ in Canada :( Would the Decathlon Forclaz MT 100 tent be just as good? Its 180$ in Canada.
Is there a two person version?
Z-Packs maybe Tarptent
Did it need seem sealed?
What's your recommendation for the best 2 person tent?
Actually it looks a lot like the cloud up 1 of nature hike :3 same price
