It feels like I've been waiting on this epsiode for years and it didnt disappoint. Great podcast episode. You both make these recaps so entertaining and fun. Also that Delena scene had to be outside next to the ice machine their chemistry was about to burn that place down it was so hot. lol
I agree with you guys. Every delena moment in the show was so well executed. Every kiss was impactful and memorable, while Stelena didn’t have that same effect to me. The writers perfectly built delena towards the beautiful 3x19 kiss.
I come again just to say that watching your podcast changed my whole way of watching reactions and videos regarding TVD. I have been following several people who make reactions for a while,But since I've been watching your podcast it's been difficult for me to watch other channels because they don't have the depth in the analysis of the scenes and characters.Sometimes key moments pass and I'm like nooo!!! This podcast really needs many more followers and views. because it is really excellent. and you are great, funny and intelligent. Now that I'm catch up with the pod, I'm going to start watching TVD alongside the podcast.
The Delena kiss was a core memory for me-to this day I throw Never Let Me Go into any playlist I can! As a major Delena fan, this was everything. ♥️ That being said, after multiple rewatches I was seeing the scene from Damon’s perspective and I kinda saw how unfair Elena was being here. She was the one who was like “you can’t kiss me again…” and then she went and kissed him. In the words of Tyler Lockwood, “you kissed him, that probably messed with his head” lol! So when Damon was asking Elena what she’s even doing and saying he was gonna make it easy for her I was like yessss go off 🙌 Still, this kiss is probably the best in the series hands down ♥️
I didn't remember they flew! hahaha It would have been hilarious to see something of them on the plane fighting who was in the aisle or window or Damon compelling the flight attendant to bring him more drinks 😅 Poor Jeremy...first Tayler pretending to be his friend so he gets hit by a car, and now Kol 😅
Damon says the expectation phrase because we need to remenber that he has really low self-esteem the guy feel that his mother left him, his father always prefer Stefan and we actually watch a flashback were he told him that he is dissapointed of him
Kol and Damon would have been fun, painting the town red vibes (not necessarily in Mystic Falls), but if he was in a box and Damon being turned in the 1800´s it makes no sense that they met. Also, Kol would have had to compel Damon to forget him too otherwise in season 1 and 2 Damon would have known more than they do. We already have a brother by a different mother bond with Klaus and Stefan so it would have been repetitive. Plus, I like how Sage/Katherine were mentors that shaped Damon into who he is now; older women had an impact on his life, especially his mother so that makes sense to me. Elena gets glimpses of who Damon was a human, not as a vampire and that´s why she falls for him slowly. His compassion to Rose is a big catalyst of THEEEE Delena kiss. What she sees in him is what other women didn´t, besides Rose of course, that´s why he loves her back but is also scared of it too. He knows it´s too big and important to screw it up. They can never make me hate Delena. Stelena was fun, Stefan was a good boyfriend, this episode alone we see how much of a good man he was by letting Elena make her own choices even if it hurts him. At the end of the day I feel like Elena went with Damon´s advise when he met her the first time because deep down it´s what she wants. Elena before her tragedies in life was a different person, I feel like more Damon´s type rather than Stefan´s xD
This is my favorite episode of this season that in my opinion is the best of all tvd, by the way I tough you were going to mention that in the scene that Damon and Elena are kissing the músic is so loud because Nina says Ian!!
While I agree the writers needed to dial it back from the Hotel scene. I feel this should have been the pivotal episode for Delena to begin & for Stelena to finally end. Elena is obviously confused about her feelings & also confused about who would be best for her. However she clearly accepted her feelings towards Damon by turning to kiss him passionately. Whether she was going to commit to Damon or not. The fact she had these feelings for him should have ended any future with Stefan. Obviously without spoiling things. The writers drag things out for quite a bit longer 😂 Rose's line about Damon being the best or the worst for her made sense at the time. Though as things move along. It's clear he was always the best for her & her for him. Just one viewers opinion 👍🏻
So my thought process with “Never Let Me Go” is the opening scene in One Tree Hill for the first verse and when the first chorus hits Damon and Elena kiss with the flickering lights
Honestly Elana is safest with Damon, he'll murder anyone to protect her even her friends and family if he actually had to. Damon "I always choose you, Salvatore" we're talking about
loving your videos! recently found the channel and started rewatching tvd alongside these videos 🤎 something came to mind w the mention of tyler and caroline’s conflict over klaus and the drawing. at first it does feel like just a drawing, but then i remember that tyler’s also an artist. so he probably knows there can sometimes be a weight (beyond crushing) when drawing someone. and when it comes to klaus, tyler’s likely assuming he wouldn’t just go around drawing people for no reason; so he’s only left w the suspicion over what that means.
So I'm more of a Stelena shipper, but I do think Damon is who she needs for this point of her life. She's about to start college, she's dealt with her parental grief and found herself again so I think she needs a bit more teenage fun and turbulence which Damon can provide. But I do think their relationship should have ended at the end of S5, their love is too all consuming and they're changing each other too much at that point. It becomes toxic. The way Elena is at the start of season 6 exemplifies this. So unhealthy. It's my understanding that Julie Plec, Nina, Paul and Ian are all more Stelena as well which makes me think that they were intending to bring Stelena back together at some point. I totally agree with ye that the show doesn't give the Stelena kids scenes like this episode's Motel scene or the rain scene, but I think it was intentional. Both brothers represent different aspects of a healthy relationship, Stefan represents stability and reliability while Damon is obvs sexuality and passion. I think Damon was also given more obviously romantic scenes because he started as a villain on the show, so they had to paint him in a better light. This show came out just before streaming services really took off, so to keep casual viewers who might remember Damon from when was S.A-ing Caroline in S.1 they gave scenes like this that could be used in the "Previously on Vampire Diaries" section to get them up to speed. I think had Nina Dobrev stayed on till the end of the series, we would have seen her end up with neither brother I think. (Part of me suspects that's why Matt was kept human and around till the end of the series, that she'd end up with him somehow but when Nina left they couldn't develop that relationship, though what I would have liked as a Stelena fan would have been for Elena and Damon to permanently end their relationship in S6. That she got over him when she thought he was dead. Then for Bonnie to go into her bad boy phase and develop feelings for Damon and Kai, ultimately choosing Damon. Elena be single a bit while Stefan and Caroline try to make it work until Caroline calls it off saying it was always Elena for Stefan, who stay together till the end of the series)
No wait we want to hear your thoughts!! I genuinely am very curious because Stelena is so cute but they just don't have the same epic/passion factor, no dissing! - Sarah
@@TheRippahDiaries Yes cheating on her boyfriend's brother while he keeps pursuing her when she is in a relationship with him is very passionate lmao. And also while she fails to make choices between the two. And not to forget it all escalated when Stefan left town to save his brother's life. great passion there
She went to the ice box cause she needed to cool down from Damon’s sexiness 😂i feel her lol i started fanning myself watching this 😅

yes! if you watch the scene with the music stripped you can clearly hear it lol. they were a little too into it😂
it is the best to fangirls who thinks romantic arcs are the best. you clearly have no idea about anything
Can you guys do these for The Originals as well? I love these videos!
