- It's time for arguably the best dance episode: the 20s decade dance. While everyone is prepping for the dance, Esther starts plotting with Evilaric and makes him the ultimate weapon: an indestructible white oak stake. Fortunately, Damon has figured out Alaric isn't taking any of Bonnie's herbs, so he and Meredith are trying to get that under control. But not before it's time for the dance, where Elena has invited Stefan to be her date, Bonnie has brought Jaime, and even Klaus has come to try to woo Caroline and show up Tyler. It would be a great night if it wasn't a Mystic Falls High School dance, where something terrible always happens. This time, the chaos is caused by Esther and Dark Alaric trapping everyone but Matt and Jeremy in the school and luring Elena away to get her blood to make Alaric an Original. A little too late, Bonnie undoes the spell and everyone goes to the Salvatore crypt where Alaric is refusing to transition into a vampire.

Also it's not a VD song but there's a song I found recently that keeps reminding me of Twilight and I am getting obsessed with it; it's called Matador by Luvcat - based on the other songs you guys like you may enjoy it!

Such a memorable episode, love the 20s styles and I always get emotional when Be Still starts to play! 😭
The most memorable quote to me was Klaus saying “Small town boy, small town life, it won’t be enough for you.” When I first heard that line it altered my brain chemistry, and I imagine Caroline felt the same! Especially since SPOILERS…she keeps that voicemail that Klaus leaves her in the pilot for the originals where he basically says he’ll be there waiting for her whenever she’s ready. Caroline was stronger than me LOL!
