I really love how you gave Apple some side glancing eyes and that little smirk, like you said, it adds more character/personality to the doll. :D My Apple White still has her curls, but it's starting to get frizzy and sorta out of hand. AG dolls have a different type of hair than these dolls and much better so you can use the technique but you probably won't need hot water to dip. Just gently mist their hair, put in the curlers and leave for a few days.

Cool I was brining my doll into school for world book day and I wanted to curl her here and it works oh by the the way I'm dressing up as Apple white
Hey, you mentioned the hands breaking thing. I just wanted to let you and everyone else know, because I'm often surprised the number of people that don't know this, that you can go to the mattel parts store and reorder hands for any ever after or monster high doll for $4. You can also order extra stands for $4 apiece. so if your hands ever break you can replace them. So obviously not pulling them off and putting them back all the time is good advice, but should the worst happen you're covered.

I just separated the curls she had in the box and she looks very cute like it is, it's not perfectly antifriz but I am not the best at curling hair so I will leave it until it frizes it's self more
with the 'side bang' lift part, put the straw on the scalp base of her head and wrap the hair over going backwards.

But I´ve got one idea or advice. Maybe you should use the larger straws to give her bigger curls... just an idea
And then I have a question and maybe a request for an other tutorial ^^°
Since you don´t comb though the curls how would you restyle them. It happened to me once I had a pretty doll witch such curls and then I wanted to display her in a group and a hand of an other doll messed up the curls. I know maybe hairspray could help but maybe you can show us a way how you could manage it without the recurling process

For some reason I just realized that, my apple has GREEN eyes! XD I never noticed but it's so weird, I'm definetly going to get some paint an change it to the best blue I can get!

Noelle Hill you may wanna spray a bit of hairspray to hold the hair for long term and frequent movements. :)

Question: While I liked your finger wave tutorial, it's a little too separated for me. I would like Holly O'hair's hair to be more merged than that. So when I curl my own hair, if I brush out the curls they turn into these soft waves without the sections. I wonder if I could do that with Holly and the bubble tea straws? Like, curling her hair like you did Apple's with bubble tea straws and then brushing it out. Let me know what you think.
Amalia Celeste Hmm, I would suggest use smaller straws if you want the waves to be more closer to each other. I don't brush out the curls/waves afterwards coz each individual strands will get separated and then the hair could turn out to be rather poofy. But since Holly's hair is waves rather than curls, I think your idea would work out pretty well. :)
