I just don't know why we have to establish that we'll return back to our country. Most people who live and work in other foreign countries such as the UAE China singapore Japan Europe or Asia may not necessarily want to return to their own third world poverty stricken home country.

Wouldn't the immigration officer doubt it more if one declares intent of return to one's home country knowing that the program applied for may provide a PGWP ?
Desiree David you’re welcome. With regard to your question, you can also indicate if you want to as a dual intent, study and work. BUT, it’s gonna be a high chance of refusal. You just really need to defend in your LOE tha you will go back to your home country. In my opinion, better not to indicate the working aspect because in thia pathway, the main goal is to study so stick with the purpose. Hope it helps!

I just want to ask one thing, if hypothetically I wrote a study plan and I've put that i will go back to my home country after graduating college and lets say that they accepted it so I fly to Canada after a few weeks. Years passed by and I finally graduated from college and i decided "you know what i would love to work here in Canada". Can I stay like is it legal and wont mess up or interfere with my files/documents that would force me to go back to my home country bc i wrote in my study plan that i would he going back after? But first, make sure that your school is DLI and offers PGWP so that you can work after graduation. Also, immigration of Canada knows that most of their students want to work and be resident of the country. But for now, you just need to focus on the SP application.

Question: What is someone submits a sworn affidavit of return stating that he would leave Canada at the end of authorized stay at the time of Student Permit application. Can he still apply for PGWP while remaining in Canada or does that person has to return to the home country (as sworn in the affidavit submitted at the time of study permit application)?
Sam Dharar thanks for watching. Yes, you can still stay in Canada even if you had an affidavit of return. I know people who did it and they are now on thei PGWP.

Sir, I have excellent academic score in 10th grade but low academic in 12th grade, and I got accepted in a reputed institution but I heard visa makes issue for low academic. Now should I explain in LOE? Moreover, study plan and Loe is different. As study plan stick to those specific questions asked by immigration. But letter explanation explains more statement which has not been covered in Study plan.

We are hearing that getting visa for spouse and child and travelling together is really difficult when applying for study visa. I am 31 and have a master’s acceptance letter from 3 of the universities and plan to take my husband and kid along with me. Could you help to guide if possible.

exactly! i stay in UAE and it only has a 2 year visa for families so at the end of my degree it won't be valid
