I always feel that Hull Trains standard class feels more relaxing and less harshly lit than LNER but I've not tried their Hull Trains' first class yet. LNER definitely seems to have the better offering in first class though from what I've seen, although again I prefer the look of Hull Trains.

In the early days of Hull Trains, when no other rolling stock was available, they used 100mph Class 170 Turbostar commuter trains on the London to Hull route. That was when First Class passengers got a complimentary, airline-style meal, served to their seat, seven days a week. There was no other Train Operating Company at this time that offered the same level of customer service on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays that it did during the working week. In terms of customer service Hull Trains has gone downhill in recent years. Like most inter-city operators, their First Class complimentary offer has been reduced to hot drinks and a cold sandwich. I'm sure that Hull Trains could negotiate access to the First Class lounge at King's Cross for their First Class ticket holders but obviously they can't be bothered!

Ever thought of reviewing a Class 319 on London Northwestern Railway or maybe even a Greater Anglia Class 317? I love mk3 based EMUs from the 80s. Plus they are retiring soon.

I am planning some more geml content, just been bogged down with GCSEs before last week, plenty of new and unique content coming soon!

Have you filmed any videos during the strikes? To show what it was like travelling during the rail strikes.

No as you're advised not to travel currently, would make an interesting video however.

Apparently Hull Trains Class 802 Paragon Bi-Mode trains are very smooth, fast and quiet. Are the seats comfortable as many passengers have complained about the hard ironing board seats on new trains.

Seats are adequate for a journey of up to 2 hours, anything over that you'd leave with very sore legs.

I travelled with Avanti West Coast today and I payed £50 for my ticket. We were delayed 25 minutes so how much compensation should I expect?

This sounds suspiciously like an Exam Question! lol :D

I just finished them don't want more! 😂. In all seriousness I believe with Avanti it would be 12.5% for a return or 25% for a single

Quick Question: Do you make these intercity journeys entirely on your own?

      Yes of course

@@danielstripreports Yes I'm considering it. Also I have a suggestion: perhaps you could do a first trip report on HS1

Covered Hs1 back in September! Video isn't exactly the highest quality and am looking into doing it again soon, but it's linked here th-cam.com/video/ItqCibnncBA/w-d-xo.html
