@@mariotheundying I agree, it’s distinct enough to be its own style, yet I can see why it wasn’t included, there are other handheld games they didnt include only main console, thats off topic. But for reals, the later NSMB games got watered down a lot in visuals and colours I think

I believe this footage was captured from an emulator, not upscaled. Mario is a 3D model being rendered in real time, but the koopas are pixelated 2D sprites that will always look pixelated regardless of the resolution in which the game is being emulated.
