Really good video Baffoon! things in this video really needed to be said, and im glad that you did! Also, when it comes to craving difficulty, I feel like that's coming from a crowd that has played Pokemon for all their lives, and are so experienced at playing it, that the lack of challenge sticks out for them, but thats not what these games are made for. Like, i remember carrying a Beedrill to the hall of fame in gen 1, and being carried by a mightyena in an Omega Ruby wonderlocke. those were good times, and i probably would not have had them without the challenge level that exists in these games. (not too mention there are always challenges one can impose upon yourself, like the nuzlocke, or set battle style, but I digress) anyway, good video, and i subbed! :D
Pokémon X and Y are not just my favorite Pokémon games but my favorite video games in general. I don't like playing video games, I don't have the patience for them when I lose and have to start over. Pokémon was my only exception. I started playing Pokémon when Platinum came out and I loved it. I kept going after. I wasn't a huge fan of gen 5 though. Then X and Y happen and it was the most fun I had with a video game. It's the only games I had both of. Usually I get 1 of them but for X and Y, I got both. Also there are the only games I go back to. I think i played in Kalos 3 times and i still want to go back. I never had that feeling with any other game (except maybe Platinum). 22:24 That how much I loved Kalos. I also had amazing memories because of X and Y. When the games was coming out I didn't have 3DS to play it but my boyfriend got me one for our one year anniversary. I didn't even ask for it, he just surprised with it. I was so happy because I really wanted to play it ever since it was announced. I got X as soon as it was out (I got Y a bit later). X and Y also has my favorite starter Pokémon, Fennekin. I love Fennekin and its evolutions. Yes even Delphox. I think l I feel in love with it as soon it was first announced and that why I really wanted to play X and Y. When I first saw Delphox, it was loved at first sight too. Delphox is a witch and I love witches. It was perfect. I don't get the hate for it all. My love for Fennekin grew when my boyfriend got me a stuff version of it for Christmas. It one of my favorite things I own. I used to call it my boyfriend and I baby. X and Y also made the fairy type (my 2nd favorite type after fire), which includes a new eveelution. Slyveon instinctly became my favorite eveelution when it was announced. I actually don't mind the story or the characters. I also don't mind the "easiness" of it. Like I said before I don't normally like playing video games because I don't like losing. So easier the better.
I love X and Y too :) Unfortunately, yes, my only gripe with it was that the experience share was too OP. Even with a type disadvantage I could almost try to lose and I would still win battles, which was kind of a bummer. But, I mean, that is my only complaint, I freaking LOVE x and y!!!! Thank you for this video!!!
It has honestly never occurred to me to pick and choose favourites from the series. I like them all because it's one of the few franchises that has barely changed its turn-based battle gameplay, unlike every other that has given in to the FPS or hack-n-slash demand. My disability means I can't enjoy most new popular games. I know it's probably only a matter of time before Pokémon completely abandons the format though 😢
I would honestly argue that Lysandre was the most interesting Pokemon villain at that point in the series. I mean I guess N too if you count him, but in terms of Evil Teams Lysandre was the best of his time.
X & Y WOULD have been super important and unique to the timeline of Pokemon main-title games if the following titles didn't just reuse sloppy animations and textures in the following 10(?) games. The reason people are looking at gen 5 so fondly now is mostly because of the under-delivery in Pokemon's modern installments in the 3d space. Gen 6 is held back by the failures of Pokemon in the modern day, its legacy can't shine until modern day Pokemon actually puts out a game that can run at 60 fps while mixing up the IP a bit in an actually unique way (*cough* *cough* BRING BACK POKEMON RANGER *cough* *cough). Anyways, there's my daily rant about how Pokemon has turned into a bland money grab for Gamefreak and Nintendo. I love you 💋
Kalos slaps so hard it got a Legends game before Unova lol
One of my favorite parts of XY was the music. The use of electric guitar is amazing
Thank you for making this video, I personally love X and Y and they are my favorite Pokémon game!

Pretty based takes.
I love Kalos so much to the point where I did my first Nuzlocke in it and had a SHINY AZUMARILL on my team
The games' soundtrack is goated.

i agree so hard with your point about the battle frontier. like what's fun about a grindy place. people really confuse quantity for quality
I LOVE gen 6. It's on par with gen 5 as my favorites.
Finally someone who gets it
