If she could do that she would talk to the doctor more often, ergo probably wouldn’t have gotten so emotional when her time in Idris came to a close. Most tardises weren’t given the ability to speak and I’m fairly certain I heard/read somewhere that in many cases they were designed specifically to prevent them from speaking, the doctor’s tardis has had enough time to find some loopholes and communicates as best she can. I doubt the tardises that were designed to take on 'human' form were actually designed with speech inhibitors though, it’d be antithetical to making them like that. The TARDIS exists far enough outside of normal time that if someone has yelled at her multiple times, she'll experience it all at once. This was just a little object lesson for Clara about what she looks like to the TARDIS. ...probably. The TARDIS can be quite tempermental, it might have been that umbrella thing coming back to bite Clara.
The Tardis was probably just projecting images. It wasnt actually different versions of Clara. We have seen in The Doctors Wife that when something else was in control of the Tardis it projected different images to mess with Amy. Like the Rory that was there for decades waiting for her. The not so sadistic version of that is projecting a dozen different Claras to annoy the real one.
The thing is, people think the TARDIS didn't like Clara because she and the Doctor pushed each other too far to be good for either of them. Let's appreciate the fact that this entire minisode is just Jenna Coleman talking to herself. I feel like Clara was a companion that fit with the whole Who canon - Classic and Modern era. Apparently a lot of people didn’t her, but I think she was actually one of the best and Jenna played the role perfectly. It also made the fact she went through his time stream and met all his previous incarnations all the more believable.

Maybe an episode of a companion trying to learn the TARDIS's language (the beeping noises). They could make notes that the TARDIS reads in real time with the TARDIS making special noises to indicate what they get right and what they get wrong.
This shows part of why I like Clara. With most of the other new-Who companions, that TARDIS just seemed like a machine, a tool. Whereas with Clara, it has a personality and Clara treats her like the sentient being she is.
There was so much I loved about Clara, her storyline was so rich and as a character she was so strong at times she overshadowed the Doctor, which I understand not everybody liked but one thing that always flies under the radar is her relationship with The Tardis, unlike any other companion they actually had a complicated relationship and understanding on screen and I think that alone is proof that so much thought went into her as a companion, she was so brilliant, there hasn't been a companion that has depth like her since, I often think she sits atop my top 3 with Martha and River, so underrated
I think that of all the companions he's ever had so far, Clara intimidates the Tardis the most for one specific reason: she's an impossible girl who spawned in several eras within the doctor's timeline. And to add to that fact is that the tardis has been with the doctor since he began travelling throughout time and space whereas Clara showed up in all of his timelines whenever the great inteligence showed up. So basically Clara's a bit like the Tardis' rival in a sense.
And the fact that the future seems grim with her and the Doctor traveling together with the Hybrid stuff, and the Doctor willing to destroy the whole universe to revive her, of course the TARDIS would also dislike her. But Clara's echo was the one who guided the Doctor in choosing the TARDIS?

Makes sense. If the space within the TARDIS is mutable, it stands to reason the time within it is as well. Companions have mentioned that the flow of time within the TARDIS is unusual, and I think it's more than just a lack of a day/night cycle.

I just realized it, we get a lot of Claras in this short, in a way is symbolic of her storyline as the Impossible Girl with many versions of herself scattered everywhere.
Amy was far more than eye-candy (although I do think she is gorgeous), she is one of the only characters who really held her own and treated the Doctor like an equal instead of as a teacher/mentor figure.

OK, I may criticise Moffat from time to time on some of his episodes, but I have to admit that there is not ONE 'Doctor Who' Mini-Episode he has written that hasn't been just absolutely brilliant (including this one, of course). The prequels are brilliant as well, as are the extra scenes on the DVDs. The man is a genius when it comes to them.
I think Moffat writes great beginnings to episodes, it's just that on Doctor Who he has a hard time keeping the momentum. It even pops up in Sherlock on occasion.

I love that the TARDIS doesn't like Clara at first. It puts such a pin on the idea that she sees all these companions as strays (other than River, who's the child of the TARDIS). And the fact that Clara is there for multiple sleepless nights without finding it also implies that the Doctor is off doing something and just left Clara behind for multiple days/nights. Otherwise, the Doctor would have stopped it earlier.
Moffat always does amazingly well on minisodes and single episodes, but when it comes to drawn out story lines, it feels like he falls short. I love these minisodes. They add more content to the series.
Moral of the story: Don't say "Do your worst." to a time machine.

Let's appreciate the fact that this entire minisode is just Jenna Coleman talking to herself. She did the same in Asylum of the Daleks and created amazing chemistry with Matt Smith despite never directly interacting with him during that episode. This woman is the walking, talking definition of too good to be true. In a way, it's kind of scary because part of me is constantly thinking "people this perfect don't exist so what's the catch?"

I feel like Clara was a companion that fit with the whole Who canon - Classic and Modern era. Apparently a lot of people didn’t her, but I think she was actually one of the best and Jenna played the role perfectly. It also made the fact she went through his time stream and met all his previous incarnations all the more believable.

Maybe an episode of a companion trying to learn the TARDIS's language (the beeping noises). They could make notes that the TARDIS reads in real time with the TARDIS making special noises to indicate what they get right and what they get wrong.

This shows part of why I like Clara. With most of the other new-Who companions, that TARDIS just seemed like a machine, a tool. Whereas with Clara, it has a personality and Clara treats her like the sentient being she is.

I loved that line so much!
There was so much I loved about Clara, her storyline was so rich and as a character she was so strong at times she overshadowed the Doctor, which I understand not everybody liked but one thing that always flies under the radar is her relationship with The Tardis, unlike any other companion they actually had a complicated relationship and understanding on screen and I think that alone is proof that so much thought went into her as a companion, she was so brilliant, there hasn't been a companion that has depth like her since, I often think she sits atop my top 3 with Martha and River, so underrated
I think that of all the companions he's ever had so far, Clara intimidates the Tardis the most for one specific reason: she's an impossible girl who spawned in several eras within the doctor's timeline. And to add to that fact is that the tardis has been with the doctor since he began travelling throughout time and space whereas Clara showed up in all of his timelines whenever the great inteligence showed up. So basically Clara's a bit like the Tardis' rival in a sense.
The Tardis has been around a bit; she knows a big, complicated, inexplicable space-time event when she sees one.
And the fact that the future seems grim with her and the Doctor traveling together with the Hybrid stuff, and the Doctor willing to destroy the whole universe to revive her, of course the TARDIS would also dislike her.
But Clara's echo was the one who guided the Doctor in choosing the TARDIS?
And also, she hated Jack who was also someone who shouldn't really exist...

Makes sense. If the space within the TARDIS is mutable, it stands to reason the time within it is as well. Companions have mentioned that the flow of time within the TARDIS is unusual, and I think it's more than just a lack of a day/night cycle.

OK, I may criticise Moffat from time to time on some of his episodes, but I have to admit that there is not ONE 'Doctor Who' Mini-Episode he has written that hasn't been just absolutely brilliant (including this one, of course). The prequels are brilliant as well, as are the extra scenes on the DVDs. The man is a genius when it comes to them.
I think Moffat writes great beginnings to episodes, it's just that on Doctor Who he has a hard time keeping the momentum. It even pops up in Sherlock on occasion.

I love that the TARDIS doesn't like Clara at first. It puts such a pin on the idea that she sees all these companions as strays (other than River, who's the child of the TARDIS). And the fact that Clara is there for multiple sleepless nights without finding it also implies that the Doctor is off doing something and just left Clara behind for multiple days/nights. Otherwise, the Doctor would have stopped it earlier.
