This songs give me chills for many reasons! My husband has served two combat tours overseas with the Marines before we met. And he now is in the Army. So that freedom part gets to me. And we are Georgia born and bred but the Army so lovely sent us to Washington state and we couldn’t run outta there fast enough after 3 years!! Southern hospitality is a real thing and where we belong for sure.
My favorite songs from this band is "Toes in the Water" " No Hurry" and " She Got Whatever It Is".
Georgia is famous for their peaches. From what I have heard they are bigger and sweeter than anywhere else. And the pretty women are referred to as Georgia peaches. If you want some fiddle, look for Doug Kershaw (aka- The Ragin' Cajun). He is a vibe that will possess your feet and your soul. Nothin' like Cajun music!
And thank you for appreciating the military and our freedom so many people take for granted.
I used to call all the Delta stewardesses out of Atlanta Georgia Peaches and every one immediately smiled and laughed and was so friendly. Apparently you can be an old sexist if you say it in Canadian and mean it as a total compliment lol.

Its an awesome song 🤘🤘 as a northern, Southerner 😂 I'm from New England. Ive always felt i was born in the wrong part of the country. Zac brown band is friggin awesome. My favorite song from them though is, highway 20 ride. Used to sing that to my son every time i picked him up from his mom when he was younger. He's 16 now 😂

You need more fiddle in your life! A fiddle and violin are technically the same instrument, but the style of playing mostly determines what you call it. Another great song to check out is “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” by The Charlie Daniels Band.
and if i may add an obseration the part of the fiddle playing that britt reacted to was an little closer to violin technique before reverting back to fiddle style. I suspect some classical training. made for an interesting counterpoint that was an nice touch

In 2011, with the belief that his musical talent was given for the purpose of putting more good into the world, Zac purchased 400 acres of farmland in Fayetteville, Georgia and built Camp Southern Ground, a world-class facility dedicated to serving youth and veterans. During the summer they have youth camp, with the remainder of the year being focused on helping veterans in the transition to civilian life after military service.

Girl somebody lied to you about peaches. I have lived in Georgia for all of my 53 years and peaches have always grown here. There are orchards all over the place. I guess it just depends on what part of the state you go to.

Georgia definitely grows beaches. South Carolina technically grows more but Georgian peaches are considered better.

From another Georgia girl. Georgia is known for their peaches, but so is South Carolina. Both if my grandfathers ran produce companies in Florida before I was ever born and they got their peaches and tomatoes from South Carolina.

The band was new and the name not recognized but baby, they brought everybody to their feet and they were dancing and clapping and shouting and singing! I may even have seen a ‘church cloth’! Girlfriend, I did not know you were from Georgia, I loved you before, but now I love you even more! I'm in Greenville, South Carolina, and yes ma'am we grow more peaches than Georgia does! Gaffney, SC, about 30 minutes up I-85,, has a huge peach, It's a watertower, so yes ma'am, we even grow them here in the upstate! Keep doing what u do! God Bless!

As far as peaches go…. I lived in Lexington, SC (just outside Columbia) for a bit and we had a peach festival every year because they are so prominent there
The same instrument can be picked up by a concert violinist and play Mozart, be put down, picked up by a fiddler, and fiddled to Charlie Daniel’s. It’s the style of play not the instrument

I think you'd enjoy the song "Southern State of Mind" by Darius Rucker.
I love me some peaches (but I generally prefer "canned" peaches because of the texture, but I had one of the best peach trees ever when I lived in east Texas...They would melt in your mouth). Canned peaches are almost always what good cobbler is made from. It is the same with black-eyed peas. I don't like peas or beans that I have to "chew" a bunch...Stew the crap out of that before you ask a carnivore to eat it. You should probably watch the studio version too because it layers in some additional content. Peace, Love!!

California is the country's largest producer of peaches. South Carolina is 2nd. Gaffney SC has a huge water tower in the shape of a peach. Georgia has nothing to really do with peaches. They should be the peanuts and coke state.

By the way, there is actually a physical difference between a violin and a fiddle. A violin has gut strings that give it the classical rich sound we all love to hear in an orchestra. 🙂 A fiddle in country and bluegrass music has steel strings that give it a sharper sound and add some twang to the music to match the voices. 😂👍🏼

Life is more rich when ja travel, break bread together, tell stories and lies and truths. My ex has fam in deep sticks Mississippi and they were the kindest, salt of the earth, foundation on faith people for the most part. I miss the smell of red clay, of the gulf, and the pines.
