Spyder Auto How to Install: 2006-2010 Lexus IS250/350 LED Headlights

- This video demonstrates how to install a set of Spyder Auto 2006-2010 Lexus IS250/350 LED Headlights. This complete how-to tutorial guides you, from start to finish, through the installation process. It also offers helpful tips throughout to facilitate a successful installation.
= TOOLS NEEDED =
1. Small flat-head screwdriver
2. Phillips screwdriver
3. Ratchet
4. Long extension
5. 10mm deep socket
= INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS =
1. Remove the eight 10mm screws under the bumper.
2. Remove the two fasteners on the fender liner.
(Turn 90-degrees counter-clockwise and pop-off)
3. Pull back the fender liner.
4. Remove the 10mm screw holding the bumper to the fender.
5. Open the hood.
6. Remove the eleven push-pin fasteners on the radiator shroud.
7. Remove the radiator shroud.
8. Remove the three push-pin fasteners as well as the Phillips hood stopper.
(Above the bumper near inner-side of headlight)
9. Remove the 10mm bolt in the center of the bumper.
10. Unseat the bumper.
(Loosen it, do not remove it)
11. Disconnect the fog light harness.
(There are three plugs - one on passenger side, two on driver)
12. Remove the bumper.
13. Remove the three 10mm bolts securing the headlight.
14. Disconnect the headlight harness.
15. Remove the headlight.
16. Transfer over the bumper bracket.
(Take it off of the OEM light and transfer onto new light)
17. Bring new light over to car.
18. Seat the new headlight.
19. Connect the wiring harness.
20. Reinstall the three 10mm bolts securing the headlight into place.
(Note: Two smaller bolts and one longer one near the fender-bumper area)
21. Bring front bumper nearby.
22. Reconnect the fog light plugs.
(There are three plugs)
23. Reinstall the center 10mm bolt holding the bumper in place.
24. Reinstall the three push-pins holding the bumper into place.
23. Reinstall the Phillips-screw hood stopper.
24. Reinstall the 10mm screw on the side of the bumper.
25. Reinstall the two fasteners on the fender-liner.
26. Reinstall the eight 10mm screws underneath the bumper.
27. Reinstall the radiator shroud.
28. Reinstall the eleven push-pin fasteners on the radiator shroud.
29. Close the hood.
30. Installation completed.

Very good video. I have issues with my bumper. It doesn't seat properly and got a small gap on the top side below the headlights from both side. Can you advise what may be the problem?

I just put these lights on my 09 is250 and they look amazing! But since I put them on my afs off has been non stop flashing. My auto lights work so I don't know why I have the afs off sensor on.
theres a fuse under your steering wheel that you can pull out and the light will go away. its a brown 7.5 fuse, theres a video on how to do it

What kind of ballasts do these LED lights have? I heard the headlight unit without ballasts directly wire to the battery terminal are better and avoid ballast issues like the OEM ballast. Help!!
i dont think led lights require ballasts

Not sure what you are talking about. We installed these in this video and the car's owner has no problems with it.

Hello, do you know what the second small connector on the headlight is for? There’s the main harness connector and then there’s a small 4 pin connector. It’s the 4 pin that I am unsure about

In one of their previous videos they mentioned it was the outside temperature sensor but I can't guarantee if that's correct or not

Sorry, I do not understand your question.
Does it required to disable AFS function?
Sorry, typically if the car has AFS for this generation of Lexus IS, it also has HIDs. These lights do not fit those models.

If your car came factory equipeed with HID, it will not work.

Why don’t these fit ones with factory HID? Doesn’t It remove the ballast completely
These headlights are not wired for the factory HID setup.

The headlights have nothing to do with the fog lights. The DRL function has changed. You can skip towards the end to see the before and after video (around 5:28).
Spyder Auto this is incorrect, the fog light harness comes out of the headlight and it isn’t the same connector as my stock fog lights on an 08 AWD

This is an extremely ridiculous amount of work to replace lamps that need to be replaced yearly. Removing a bumper? Seriously? You guys gotta be kidding me.
It’s how most cars are. It’s the way it is. You either leave them or do the work.
Who the F would replace the Original HIDs to them cheap ass basic headlights 🤦🏻♂️
The D4S Philips xenon bulbs are driving me nuts. I change a pair each year and they are not cheap! I wish Lexus could provide an LED replacement!
I would get them, if my lights were yellowed and/ or internal cracking on the lense or factory housing. I refuse to pay over 1k per side for Factory HID lights....IF you can even find them for sale.
