If my car already had a built in rear camera with navigation system, could I just connect the stock cameras cable to the new radio unit or do I have to run a new line ? Please advise.
Just an FYI from 2006 to 2010 you can easy put this type into as I've found out the hard way 2010 to 2013 this type of head unit won't go in as the wiring changed at 2010 and up so hope I saved you money before getting one
When buying the unit they asked me for the specific year since they have different harnesses depending on the year. If they sent you the wrong harness send them a message, hopefully they will fix the problem
@@nkautos I found out the hard way now. The radio you are showing (and other similar ones) will all work with 2005-2009 IS models. If you have 2010+ model they will not work as it is most likely a fibre system. So the cables is different for 2010+ models. You need to buy a carbus adapter for that to work. Only the supplier can sell these as they can be device specific. So if you have 2010+ model make sure to let the supplier know you likely have a fibre system (amplified) and that you will need the adapter. Unfortunately some suppliers just send you the unit without the adaptor even if you tell them you have 2010 model. That's the hard way Please pin this so people can see
Hey bud, great video! Need some help in troubleshooting. I have the same radio. It's been 2 years now with it and no issues until now. The display won't turn on, my flashes work, my security light works and the passenger button comes on, and the lights but my display wont come on and there is no sound. Is there a reboot on these on the back of the radio?

I did learn something new watching this video which was one of my biggest concerns . When I would raise or lower the volume on the steering wheel it will sound different from raising or lowering the volume touching the screen. Hopefully car setting , set into car will fix the probably . I kept peaking the audio and hearing distortion and static from the speakers
You can play around with the amplifier settings in the radio settings. If you turn up the audio too high it will be raspy. I would recommend turning the midrange and subwoofer to about half and the audio will sound alot better
Thank you for the question. The defrost for the front and rear windshield is in the drop down menu for the climate control. The side mirror defrost is on the side panel. I hope this helps

@Kris Nie I went to a shop and they couldn't do it you have to get an aftermarket one. If you had a regular headunit, not the chinese brand, you could use it. They don't put it in the protocols.
I see you have a yellow rca connected that is lying horizontal down under the bundle of wires. Im not talking about the rear view camera harness, i can see your rear view camera harness and rca clearly and i have mine connected like yours(black and little red wire) i have a disconnected yellow male rca labeled camera and two disconnected yellow female rca one labeled video out and the other cvbs in 1. Which connects to what?

I think a lot of aftermarket car stereos have that feature built in I know in some you're able to disable it in settings but not all of them have that option

This is a cmprehensive video. I have this same tesla style on my IS 250, but the touchscreen malfuctions at present. Some parts od the screen are not responding. Is this an hardware or a software problem? The screen is not broken so I'm surprised some parts are not working.

It’s been almost a year now, haven’t had any problems since putting it in. It took about a week to get to me once I ordered it. A great deal for the price
When I connect my phone to the usb , it keeps going on and off , I’m not sure if a wire is loose or something , my a/c seems weaker than normal as well on my 2006 lexus is350. Sometimes the screen lighting glitches and blinks for a bit . I tried to connect to my hotspot but it won’t even find any phones just houses and different cars Wi-Fi’s . I’m not even sure how to screen mirror yet on iPhone lol. Just got this car btw . Thinking about resetting the whole system and logging into with a email. The nav and browser says it’s offline as well I guess you have to be connected to wifi all the time ? Sometime my door icons stays open when it’s actually closed as well . I’m going to try to update but if nothing gets better . Might go get everything calibrated and rebooted or whatever with new wires etc i guess
Thank you for the comment! I would try to reboot the system in the software settings first. The climate control not working as good as before is odd, it might have to do with the new climate settings. For the doors saying they are open double check to see if the OBD connection is in place and that the wires aren't compromised. I haven't tried to screen mirror my iPhone yet but if you plan on using the maps and internet it will require your phone to be connected via Hotspot for it to work. The camera is connected with a female RCA. From the back the camera has a red and black connection that wire to a power source that run through an extension. The extension connects to the back of the unit with a yellow RCA. I hope this helps, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask!

in the market for an is 350, would you still take this unit over something like a grom vline 2? also at this point you've been driving with it for awhile, how often would you say it crashes? and would it lock you out from using the climate control if it does?
I have the same radio and my question is do you ever have to reset your time every morning? And is there a way to keep it from keeping the time current all the time?
How's the call quality? Do the radio stations match up with American radio stations? I ask because some of these head units sometimes the numbers don't match what our numbers are in the United States. How is the audio quality? Does the air condition work properly?
The call quality is decent but the microphone that the unit comes with is grainy. I would recommend getting an external microphone that you can hookup to the rear of the radio. All the radio stations work and don't have problems connecting. The air conditioning also works great with no problems.
The airbag light wont turn on if you have all the connections connected. There is a white plug that needs to connect to the head unit that connects to the airbag light and if that isn't connected it will throw an airbag light
@@nkautos which white plug? I seem to have everything plugged in and the airbag light stays on in the dash. Also, the gps, the hazard light/airbag buttons don’t work
@@suade007 Seems like you might be missing a harness. There should be a plug that connects to the OEM airbag/hazard lights, I would message the seller for confirmation
@@nkautos there is one female connection from the car that doesn’t seem to match to anything. It’s a gray square with only one hole in it to accept a single wire into it. I will contact them

Which canbus decoder do you use? I have 2006 IS, got Teyes CC3 with canbus decoder and rear camera. Everything works perfectly, but it’s no dynamic parking lines on rear camera, only static traces. I tried a lot of methods to fix it, but nothing helped me. In my opinion, the reason is canbus decoder - there is no steering wheel angle decoding in my version. Could you help me please? I trying to resolve this issue about 1.5 years, but it’s not enough information in web. I see that you have 2006/2007 IS with WORKING dynamic parking lines at the rear camera, and you are the only man who can help me.
Hello, I'm sorry for the late reply. When I plugged the unit in, the dynamic parking lines were fully functional. I didn't get a different canbus decoder, just the one that was in the kit. I would try to reach out to the seller to see if you received a faulty canbus system

Hello, the unit cost around $300 shipped. The radio does come with a camera and everything you need to install it. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask!
There was no need for soldering any wires, it was mostly a plug and play process except for the added camera. I used some shrink wrap tubes for those connections
I didn't change any of the canbus features when installing the unit. I would try the low configuration first and if some options for the steering wheel don't work then try the high setting
My radio home screen looks nothing like this aside front the top row of apps those are the same but it doesn't show my rims or speed plus I'm struggling getting the vents to line up with the radio

You can splice the OEM camera harness into the unit but this will take some modification and soldering wires for a good connection

Not any splicing, but you still will need to wire the connection from the back of the car to the back of the unit

The red wire that is not connected is for powering the camera. 12v.

It might be a cable that isn't connected, the a/c controls are controlled by one plug, if it isn't connected none of the controls will work

It is used for the backup camera sensor aswell as when the doors are opened. If everything else works then use what you currently use

The home screen layout should pop up right away. Make sure your OBD plug is wired correctly that will help with the RPM and OBD info

So this would essentially replace the whole Mark and Levinson sound system correct?
That is correct, it replaces the whole radio system but still uses the factory ML amp.

Yes if the connections for the camera are rewired everything will work as intended
in the market for an is 350, would you still take this unit over something like a grom vline 2? also at this point you've been driving with it for awhile, how often would you say it crashes? and would it lock you out from using the climate control if it does?
So far the only problem I am having is with the clock saving the time. Other than that everything else runs great!

Do the radio stations match up with American radio stations? I ask because some of these head units sometimes the numbers don't match what our numbers are in the United States.

The call quality is decent but the microphone that the unit comes with is grainy. I would recommend getting an external microphone that you can hookup to the rear of the radio. All the radio stations work and don't have problems connecting. The air conditioning also works great with no problems.

You can change the master volume in the unit settings and increase the minimal volume

The AC works well, there is a drop down menu that you need to use for extra options like the defrost buttons. The unit is a Chinese brand

I read that some aftermarket units cause the airbag light to come on, have you had any issues about that with this unit?
The airbag light wont turn on if you have all the connections connected. There is a white plug that needs to connect to the head unit that connects to the airbag light and if that isn't connected it will throw an airbag light
@@nkautos which white plug? I seem to have everything plugged in and the airbag light stays on in the dash. Also, the gps, the hazard light/airbag buttons don’t work
@@suade007 Seems like you might be missing a harness. There should be a plug that connects to the OEM airbag/hazard lights, I would message the seller for confirmation
@@nkautos there is one female connection from the car that doesn’t seem to match to anything. It’s a gray square with only one hole in it to accept a single wire into it. I will contact them

Which canbus decoder do you use? I have 2006 IS, got Teyes CC3 with canbus decoder and rear camera. Everything works perfectly, but it’s no dynamic parking lines on rear camera, only static traces. I tried a lot of methods to fix it, but nothing helped me. In my opinion, the reason is canbus decoder - there is no steering wheel angle decoding in my version. Could you help me please? I trying to resolve this issue about 1.5 years, but it’s not enough information in web. I see that you have 2006/2007 IS with WORKING dynamic parking lines at the rear camera, and you are the only man who can help me.
Hello, I'm sorry for the late reply. When I plugged the unit in, the dynamic parking lines were fully functional. I didn't get a different canbus decoder, just the one that was in the kit. I would try to reach out to the seller to see if you received a faulty canbus system

Did you have to solder any wires together?
There was no need for soldering any wires, it was mostly a plug and play process except for the added camera. I used some shrink wrap tubes for those connections
There are "Luzheng-Lelux IS" High or Low in CANBUS configuration, which one should I choose?
I didn't change any of the canbus features when installing the unit. I would try the low configuration first and if some options for the steering wheel don't work then try the high setting

Sounds like one of the harness plugs are not connected, I would double check the connections
