Something different this time in place of a single 38DGAS Weber or a Holley/Edelbrock 4 Barrel carb!
This came around after looking at Rat Rod videos with some ingenious unique carb setups and I had a look around at what I had so I put together this with a pair of 32/36 Webers from 2 litre Fords.
Built in the spirit of the old time home grown hot rodder......or someone with too much time during the lockdowns!!

I love people who do their own thing , and best of luck to you , but only because ive worked on many V8s of this engine family and the GM 3800 V6 that came from this engine by cutting 2 cylinders off , my question is " why oh why did you cut off those excellent SU or Skinner Union carbies off ?" They are the best carbie to ever be made ! Almost all carbies tell the engine how much fuel goes in and wait for the engine to catch up , where as the Skinner Union type carbies, you can smash the throttle but as its governed by intake vacuum it only lets the engine get as much air flow as it can use ! Very good design and only out done by efi. Second you could have bought an Offenhauser intake from Summit Racing to do the exact same thing , and many other combos for the Small Block Buick 215ci , 300ci and 340ci including all the Rover 3.5 litre , 3.9, 4.2 and 4.6. all share the same intake manafold type and port location .

Very cool. I would love this setup on my Dodge 318 but I don't want to cut a hole in the hood/bonnet. Is there a low profile way of doing this?

Yes! They can be mounted much lower as shown in another of my videos

I was looking at aluminum dual plane intakes today for the 318. Some are over 5 inches tall while the shortest is around 4.6" How much do you cut an intake down for your custom plate? @@fitduster9472

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars, trucks and busses including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbotsverodnung" in German :-(((((

Not so if we start implementing oppressed technology like the Gagetman Groove. These carbs could be modified to use substantially less fuel and yet have more power and close to zero carbon emissions. In fact, many two barrel carburetors do not have enough room under the throttle plates to do this mod. But webers have lots of room.

Your living in a dream world , fuel burning cars will not be banned , that would cripple world economies , people love their V8s and they will always be around , infact there is more research now into internal combustion engines than ever , and as should be , you sound like one of those so called experts who swore pushrod V8s would be dead in the 1980s , hmmmm that didn't go so well did it ! What did Ford just do ? Design and produce a new as of 2024 push rod V8 for road use !

@@JosephCowen-fz8vj By the way, I love pushrod V8's. I especially like Buick 455's and 350's and have owner a few Chevies. The banning will come in the form of Agenda 2030. The soulution is partly pushback through ;eaceful protest. "Hell no are you going to take away my project car. It also comes in the form of retrofitting those pushrod v8 with modifications like the Gagetman groove wich improves fuel economy and offers more power. Then, there is plasma ignition that can be made in your garage or you can buy a kit. Water doping - Giller-Pantone- design could also be done. It's called GEET. There is no reason we all can't be Hot Rodders and perfromance enthusiasts and embrace these oppressed technologies. The faster we learn about these alternative the faster we are empowered to dictate terms to our so called masters. We should have not to give up our gasoline cars. Yet, that is what the are pushing in Europe and soon North America. Summary, learn the facts and peacefully protest. Also, implement as much alternative technology as possible. Finally, have fun with your vehicles. Flip the script and keep driving your push rod V8.

You can challenge this by taking a gasoline car and doing the Gagetman Groove. If it's in good shape you will have a zero carbon reading -- What will they do then? Fight back with wisdom th-cam.com/video/Aa9knoS7m74/w-d-xo.html

@@user-dj3hp3lf4j yes in Australia we, as in most first world countries are seeing the effect of this useless drive for so called clean energy , average people can't afford electricity , $3000 a month electricity bills all in the name of global warming ! We have already started a country wide refusal of these sorts of laws , the quickest way China wins is convince the world to go clean , use up GDP on clean crap, China will not go clean ! And after we have used up all our resources on save the world greeny crap they walk in ! And really you cannot legislate banning fuel burning cars , like I said , countries will collapse, to be truthful , I don't believe in global warming ! Look at global temp. Over the last day 100 000 years , every 12 000 or so we get an ice age followed by a few thousand years of natural global warming ! In 100 years people are going to laugh at this stuff.
