      @@fitduster9472 how do you feel 38/38 have enough flow to feed it with no hp loss?

    • @fitduster9472
      @fitduster9472  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It flows better than the standard 38mm SU's / Strombergs so is a good alternative.

      @@fitduster9472 yes, agree. For me its interesting can 38/38 feed 4.2 litre v8. Thats why i asked)

      @@polarborealis688 I dont think a 38/38 on its own would be enough for a 4.2 - I would either go for a pair of 36 DCNF's or a 4 barrel (Holley)

    I want to install on my v8 3.9 a weber DGV, it opens one butterfly first and then the next. Will it work fine?

    • @fitduster9472
      @fitduster9472  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are thinking of a 32/36 type, it will work but have very little performance or acceleration. The standard SU/Stromberg carbs are 38mm each.

      @@fitduster9472 DOES THE 38/38 NEED A FUEL RETURN? WHICH AMAZON OPTION IS GOOD?
      If I cut the stromberg manifold, should the grooves be joined? Or can they be isolated from each other?

    • @fitduster9472
      @fitduster9472  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zamora9949 Hi,
      The early 38 DGAS carbs didn't use a fuel return but the later (and newer ones) do, so if it comes with one its best to use it. The inlet ports can be kept separate but the water port will need to be blocked off - it is a small hole in the centre of an early manifold and on the side of later ones.
