Kimberly articulated my exact feelings: the great power is inside you, the practice is not complicated, but SIMPLE & not time consuming, all hearts are equal, I don't need other peoples acceptance or validation, it's ok if your partner or children are on a different wavelength--YOU are the one that's creating the ripple effect on a societal level & that's enormous! Glad that there is science backing it up & I can share it with my husband and, perhaps, it would be easier for him to accept it or to at least be a little more open to listening. Super enjoyed this conversation! Thank you, Rich! Thank you, Kimberly! Peace from a subscriber in Ukraine!

Wow, so that's why I get better results than many when I meditate, pray, or simply sit in silence. I found this gem when I was grieving my mum's death, I would walk to a local park to disconnect from my whole life and stay there as long as I needed, to grieve. I would allow every emotion to surface, the pain in my heart was strong and I faced it with no fear. I did this everyday... One day I noticed that there was this specific song of hers that she liked that everytime it would start playing i would become incredibly emotional and would immediately start crying, one day I went to the park with the intention to play it over and over until it wouldn't hurt anymore, and that was what happened. I played and replayed, cried uncontrollably, until when I played it like around the 8th time I would not be emotional anymore. I felt healed, I would listen to it and have no emotions about it. After days of doing this inner work, of going to the park, sitting when I felt like sitting, getting up and take small steps, take my shoes off to connect with earth, asking it to give its energy and enter through my feet, touching trees, feeling the texture of leaves and petals, stay there for 2h/3h, like nothing else existed...I felt more connected to my mum than I ever did when she was alive, and I could feel her joy, her freedom, I could see her smile. I felt one with the universe and beyond! 🙏💕✨
So all this time there was a scientific name for this, heart coherence??...

That's why I tell my clients, focus on the heart, your feelings... not on the mind. I guide them to focus on their feelings and connect with their heart space, encouraging them to trust that their heart knows the way. This is where true transformation happens - not by quieting the mind, but by listening deeply to the heart and letting it lead. ✨
I follow this based on my experience, not knowing that there was a scientific word for it - heart coherence. I guess I do it naturally, since I'm an empath. God bless! 🙏✨

Breathing, breath therapy changes focus... quieting thoughts to expanding awareness of being in our bodies, in our hearts... breath in slowly through the nose .. mouth breathing doesn't reach deeply.. but mouth breathing activates body processes differently. I love that five heart stages, coherence .. when you do this 'things' have no value .. you become 'love' centered. Your 'fight' or 'win and lose' in an argument is no longer such an issue, you tend to shift to 'agree to disagree and let go' ... Thank you Kimberly and Rich ... totally agree .. it's easier living from a heart presence. ❤️

Connecting to your heart can be great, but sometimes it’s hard. For example, I was raised in a household that didn’t teach their kids empathy or how to take care of animals well. When I was young my father bought me animals to raise because I asked for it, but he doesn’t really care how they are treated by me who was too young and clueless, and ended up dying. If you ask me one and a half years ago how I felt about that incident I would tell you that “it was unfortunate” without feeling too bad about it. But now, the memories of childhood came flooding back and I bawled every time I recall the incident. So much pain.

    • @Bomber411
      @Bomber411 5 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

What incident? Do you want to talk about what happened? I'm an animal lover and I can't imagine hurting one ever, but people do neglect animals for whatever reason and in your father's time, animals were seen as having little to no value, except to use then dispose of. They were a tool. They were not as cared for and definitely weren't having their needs met. Today we have animals living so much longer because of the better care humanity is showing. I have a 14 year old rabbit. He doesn't live in a cage and none of his vets can believe he is this age. He's got arthritis so he's on glucosamine as well as all kinds of quality supplements to help his health, but he's been running around the apt for the last few days with a new zest for life and I'm not sure what's different but he had a rough few weeks like he was going downhill. He's the strongest and handsomest boy. He's the best boy. I tell him every day. I'm his biggest cheerleader. Had a 20 year old cat. I just adore these sweet sweet beings.
Do you have any pets now? Let's see if we can get you through these hard dark emotions that come up about the past. If you want to talk about it.. but don't if it's too hard.
When we were little, my mom bought us rabbits. They were kept outside in small cages with no cover, completely exposed to the elements - hot sun and cold rain.. they didn't get quality food and never had hay. They had to drink from dirty water bottles that I don't think got filled all the time. They lived horrifying lives. We loved them so much... We didn't know better. Looking back, I am horrified at the thought of what our poor pets went through. It was abuse. Straight up. It rips my heart out to think of them, but we did love them. We just didn't even know what real love was. We weren't hurting them intentionally. We were in an abusive household. There were no computers or internet to learn more. Heck, it was unheard of to care for a rabbit the way we do today. Today I am a member of the House Rabbit Society. Rabbits don't belong in cages EVER, and I will die on that hill.
Let's talk about it. Because by sharing our experiences, we make it easier for others to share theirs when they know they've found someone who can relate. When we don't feel so alone, we are stronger and can get through the hard stuff easier, together.

I can’t wait to read this book. I am a cardiovascular physiologist (PhD) and spent many years studying the neurocardiac axis - the intersection of our autonomic nervous system with cardiovascular function, specifically the heart. There is in fact an entire network of interneurons on the epicardial fat pads of the heart. I am so glad someone has studied this in a humanistic way and look forward to learning more about what they have found and experimenting with the technique myself. Great episode!

Truthfully, this sounds like a rebranded meditation, as the practice itself by closing eyes and focusing your attention on breath (or heart in this instance) is identical to meditation. I don’t know if that needed a book or a scientific proof as it recites the benefits of meditation. I am not a sceptic or an atheist, that just what it seems to me. She is a clever marketing agent for that, (as no one will argue that this doesn’t work) however I am not sold on this as something revolutionary that she stumbled on during her parenthood.

Link(s) to the "scientific studies" that back up the supposed efficacy and measurement value of "magnetic fields of the heart" and the other vagaries she cites please? If she is going to claim that there is scientific evidence for her assertions, then can we please get the specific references? I was unable to find the particular reference for a paper in the American Journal of Cardiology or elsewhere. Thanks.

the heartmath research is somewhat problematic. probably going in the right direction, but definitely "Frontiers" oriented. (don't even know if they've published anything in Frontiers)

Hi, I am a skeptical by nature and I am a physician. Could not find a clear reference on AJC. Having said that, here what I found and from there there the citation section may help: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4179616/pdf/fpsyg-05-01090.pdf

This is the only thing I’m thinking about while listening. Every time I hear something is evidence based I’d like to hear the evidence as other guests have done on this podcast in the past and with her I do not. I haven’t read her work so maybe it’s cited better there but from what I am hearing I’m underwhelmed.

Google agrees with Kimberly's number of 40,000 neurons in the heart, so I asked how many neurons were in the brain and Google's answer was 86,000,000,000. I then divided 86,000,000,000 by 40,000 and found that for each neuron in the heart there are 2,150,000 in the brain. That left me with the impression that the relevance per neuron in the heart seems to be significantly greater than those of the brain, but I'm not a scientist or doctor, just a curious person.

So even if that only equals one thought that one thought should count as much as once thought from the brain... Or something like that

I couldn't help being taken aback when maths was given prominence for advocacy of matters of the heart. I'm 72, and my empirical experience tells me that when it comes to the matters of the heart, All You Need is LOVE (the Beatles were onto something?). Love ❤️ authentically pursued works its magic synchronising neurons in the brain, heart and gut. Maths or any hard sciences can hardly cope in accounting. 😅

This interview was uncomfortable for me to listen to because I felt like she was over talking Rich and a bit aggressive for someone who claims to be in the heart space. In other words, lack of authenticity for me. It seemed forced. However, I did gain valuable knowledge.

first change your perceptions and then your thoughts.
this kinda means do first, and then think. usually your perceptions are based on thoughts, which are based on all sorts of informations and stimuli, emotional reactions etc.
just change your perceptions first doesn't really make much sense for me. because if you start thinking afterwards anyway, you will most likely still come to the conclusions you would have had otherwise.
