Sounds very good, and yes it’s always a good idea to view other modellers layouts. It certainly gives more ideas and inspiration as you rightly said, and subtle weathering brings layouts to life. I myself build model aircraft, which is very rewarding adding detail to older kits.
It's great to see you back Jen. Sometimes we all need a break of sorts and that's totally fine. Busy schedules and other commitments etc. Not to mention modellers block can hit anyone so going out and about when you are ready getting inspiration makes a lot of sense. I do like the model 'Pig'. To reignite my railway interest I was at the Swanage Railway last week and got to see 'Manston' Bullied pacific Battle of Britain class spam can in steam hauling a train that I was on. Many thanks for sharing Jen.
Thank you ❤️ we had their Eddystone up at the Moors for the Gala. Apparently will be heading out onto the mainline next year. Swanage is a Railway i mean to return to one day...think it was 2019 last time.
Your various clips of NYMR helped give me the final nudge to visit them this year … so I got to experience their steam gala this time around. Good luck with the O Gauge plank and continuing your OO model over 😊
Glad you Enjoyed the Show Jennifer. The Overall feedback from this weekend's show has been overwhelmingly positive. As a club we loved bringing the public a show that was just a bit different to our previous years at the NEC and we are happy to be able to cater for a wide range of people that weren't normally able to come to our previous shows.
The show for me personally was far better than any I went to at the NEC. I felt it was more back to the layouts and inspiration and loved how it was split into different areas so you could do sections etc... what I put on my instagram account has made many msg me saying how great it looked too so thank you to you all for continuing and choosing Statfold. It was just perfect 👌
This sounds wonderful. I used to take my son to Warley at the NEC all the way from South London back in the 90's and early 2000's. Its great to hear this new show is happening. He is now a volunteer and fireman on the Spa Valley Railway in Kent. I think we all use the spring and summer months to get out and do other outdoor pursuits because our winters can be long cold and dark. Thank you for the report on the show. The layout and locos are looking as wonderful as ever. Love the flying pig. How did it get that nickname I wonder?
❤️thank you ❤️ it really is worth a visit next year if you can make it. I'm hoping to visit Spa Valley either next year or one after as have never been. Thought I could tie it in with Bluebell and maybe Romney.
Many thanks for sharing a really interesting video. I always enjoy seeing your layout which I think is brilliant. If I may say so your presentation style is far from unprofessional, it is natural, interesting and enjoyable, so please don't change it. Looking forward to future videos as and when you have the time.👍💯👍
Nice to see you back👍💜😊 The new "Warley" do sounded perfect. Your layout looked great from this angle, especially the trees and buildings 👍👍😊 The O gauge bug bites hard, I started with 0-16.5 (NG7) and was to merely have an O gauge siding to compare and contrast. I still model 0-16.5 but the late Jack Ray led me astray and I model O too. My father's line (SM32) has, sadly, guiltily, fallen into disrepair, also damaged by ASBO neighbour. Your Black 5 is a marvelous model and O gauge is nice to work in and VERY addictive too👍💜😊 An idea for a layout I like is the Martini Layout philosophy "any time, any place, anywhere". Take that a stage further, a passing line, with a loop/single exchange siding, is a good starting point. Okay fiddle yards have to be a reasonable size. Or there's the classic tuning fork layout. I have one, that I developed on from the guy I bought it from, they're fun.
Good to see you have had your modelling interest re -awakened . Have been there and it just slips , especially when you have a lot of other things going on . Winter does tend to keep you inside more , although you have plenty going on by the sound of it . Just a case of doing what feels right !!!
Thank you ❤️ yes for me winter can be as busy 😂😂 i have a couple of mainline trips....Eastleigh again...then some heritage Christmas weekends so the fun never stops it seems 😂😂😂
Hello Young Lady. Glad you had fun at Warley. As long as you are having fun, it doesn’t matter if it is in your railway room or out on the real thing. I enjoy your adventures on Instagram. Never feel pressured to work on your railway. We will be here for you. Take care. See you on Instagram.
Thank you ❤️ with you being on instagram you know my adventures there as to why I've not been in the model room 😁 thank you for your support both here and on instagram ❤️
Exhibitions are a great way to regain your motivation. I’ve just missed two due to holiday but hoping to make one this weekend and one next month. Always come away with ideas and, hopefully, some decent footage.
Good to see you back. I couldn't get to Warley as it's too far to travel. Personally I won't go to the NEC as I think it's a ripoff for parking and food. Hopefully you will be able to get back into your layout.
Thank you ❤️ yes the NEC was a rip off I agree. Statfold was free parking and food and drink same price as always. They also provided free bus transfer from Tamworth town if that's of any use to you.
Hi jenny, cool comments , i know where your coming from when you lose your motivation in modeling !!!!!!!!, it just need,s some inspiration , and when you start creating again you see your hobby in a different light, ogouge modeling ,bring,s the railway scene to a different level !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, if you get hooked on ogouge ( Rock n Roll) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
😂😂they certainly are beautiful models. One guy did say to me at the show...you go 00 then 0 but then you want bigger...before you know it you own a full size Loco 😂😂😂
They are fabulous trees i think. They are WWScenics trees....handmade by them! I picked them up off their show stands at both NEC and GETS last year. If you are at the NEC this month I am sure they will be there. I did do a video last year I think it was on them if you wanted a closer inspection. Failing that the next video i do I will try and give you more of a look of them 😁👍
Hi...hope you are doing ok. ❤️ No sadly I'm not as will be in York that weekend and on a charter out of there to Edinburgh. Take care and if you go i hope you enjoy it ❤️
I totally agree with your thoughts J I will definitely go again, I did see you there but didn't want to pester you and leave you to enjoy the show. Will you go again next year?
Fantastic to see you again Jennifer, we've missed you. Thanks for the info on Warley. Please come back again soon, your videos are very interesting.
❤️thank you ❤️ hopefully i will make another soon 😁
Hi , thank you for the video, love your layout, its so beautiful & you run your trains at the perfect speed, thanks again, Pete.👍
❤️thank you ❤️

It was a great show and easy to look at the layouts I found. People definitely have some wonderful ideas and skills for sure and it's great to see.

It is wonderful to know Warley is still going and in such a healthy state!

Nice to see your video, glad you enjoyed the show. Did I hear you correctly about being inspired by O gauge? Cool Flying Pig. 😎👍
Yes...i already own 3 O gauge...Just no lay out so was inspired to get building in that direction 😁
