@@PunkDogCreations Hey there! No worries, the username has no religious connotations. I actually named my first wow character after "Gilchrist Springs" which is a bottled water plant, and I later added an I because Gilchrist became popular when that famous soccer player did.
3:26 I have the same critique: the shroud should remain a horrifying place even as we progress. In the early game I was addicted to exploring the unknown, unsure whether I'll make it out in time. Twice I had just seconds left when finally I reached the end of the shroud. Adrenaline rush.
@@Gregorius421 same! There's a flask that extends shroud duration by two minutes. My first time using it I assumed I could pop that while inside to make it out safely.... that made dash made it out with two seconds to spare.
I 2nd that , I'm pretty particular about games but this one is worth it. They perfectly mix alot of similar games taking all the best parts and it looks great. Valheim is my favourite though.
No, I haven't made it past the firt 30 seconds yet. Yes, I already liked the video. No, I don't like pineapple on pizza. Yes, I'm getting back to the video now.
i was obsessed with valheim and when i saw this also had a skill tree that i desperately wanted I was excited. but for some reason I dont feel the same excitement when i play this game.
I also enjoyed Valheim, however they are for sure very different in feel to me. Valheim is more about exploring on a grand scale through a procedurally generated world. Whereas in Enshrouded you usually have directional goals with a handmade map. Both are great games and its ok to not vibe with one. However playing through the mountain biome was pretty sick in enshrouded!
The early game and UI are bad in enshrouded, but if you push yourself to the midgame you will start liking it. I will say valheim is a more "difficult" game overall. Valheim is perfection from start to finish, even when it was first released.
i agree, valheim was very fun for me but i think its because the improvement is faster, i love enshrouded but sometimes it gets "dull" when i would play hours and hours on valheim
That's a lot of hours! I think I'm getting close to cracking 150 now. On stream lately I've been actually working on building, since I hadn't given it a lot of attention when I played through the first time, having a blast so far.
Hey man valid criticism! I'm still learning how to structure my thoughts for these videos, and as I a guy from rural Kentucky I wont lie and say I dont sometimes ask gpt "how do i say this like im not a country bumpkin". Other parts are excerpts from Keen games and Enshroudeds website. Which parts of the video felt too stiff in your opinion? I tried to layer concise thoughts with my personal experiences to get my points across.
@@Gilchriist I actually prefer the raw parts that are your own. Even if you speak in caveman, it sounds so much better when it's coming from a real person. The reason chatgpt language sounds so off is that it feels like you're suddenly in a corporate meeting for shareholders (For example the section about traversal at 4:04) when in other areas, it was a more personal and genuine talk. I think using chatgpt is perfectly fine to get an idea of talking points but right now, the language style it uses just sticks out like a sore thumb haha. Once more, I think a lot of people prefer your own words, even if that means sometimes sounding 'country bumpkin' haha. So much of the internet is now AI slop that it's just too depressing to stumble upon more chatgpt generated stuff if you catch my drift. But great video, will def be getting enshrouded once I finish valheim!
@@thebrowniesaur22 Thank you for the constructive reply! I definitely understand, and as my confidence creating grows, I will for sure become more organic. Believe it or not my buddy and I sat in a discord for almost 3 hours going the script as it was the first big video I was making. I hope your Valheim playthrough goes great, and thanks again!
The early game and the UI really suck. But if you can grind passed that, it's a good game. The one thing I have to give it credit for is that it's a great game for couples (the guy goes out exploring/hunting and the girl builds and farms at the base.)

There is no need to mock Christ with your username.

Hope your channel get bigger. Great video and honest opinions are always appreciated. Thanks, dude!
Thanks for the support! It means a lot. I'm doing my best to learn and improve!

A fair review with valid critiques and warranted praises. Its a good sign when the game leaves you wanting improvements & more content.
That's how you know it's a great game!
Pretty tempted to buy the game. Looks rather enjoyable for some relaxing game time
Really recommend the game could say I’m addicted. Perfect game for some relaxing and it’s also dad friendly

As a guy with a scraggly beard, I like being represented.
@@CJordanNicholson my vote is for a beard density slider.

@@friggz Do you think it has anything to do with the "existential threat" of your base being raided at times?
