Some other stuff I found in the game: 1 once you find the fast travel towers explore it and unlock fast travel immediately, I've spent too much time walking past it then found this out. lol 2 I would say mark beds on the map so when the sun goes down you can sleep through the night... or keep an alter in your inventory and place it down and fast travel back to your home and sleep, so you're not running around in the darkness. 3 this might be like later in the game but once you unlock the garden, go to wistful fields (its like just east of the "story of rot" obelisk.) then get tomatoes. It give like +2 to dex and I'm using a dex bow build right now so I realized this little item is super helpful if you haven't unlocked the cooking pot yet. (also in near revelwood or just north in general, you'll find most of the farmed items) 4 also once you unlock the alchemist make a stack of health potions... cause it is so useful and all it takes is berries mushroom and water all of which can be found suuuper early.
I really like that Enshrouded took Valheim's design when it comes to water and food, where they are buffing you, instead of standard and annoying hunger meter to be managed.
You should look at Outward then. That game gives buff for foods that are so good you want to eat them and there for forgets it also has survival aspects to its food system.
I agree with you, but why does everyone compare certain mechanics to Valheim? It's not like the game had amazing innovations. I've seen food buffs rather than hunger bar in MANY games prior to Valheim. I liked both games. Enshrouded a little more but both are very good games totally worth every penny. But seeing people say stuff like "Is that the Valheim 2.0?" or "It's Valheim with RTX on" is pissing me off honestly.
@@lad4830 Outside of maybe Terraria, I do nit recall any games in the genre that does food in the similar way to Enshrouded. Valheim and Enshrouded in this aspect are very much same.
@@lad4830 Because people compare things to things they know and a lot of people played Valheim. Not as many played for example Outward. Those that have played other games will see that there are many before that had that mechanic.
This game is better than any AAA I have played in the last two years. and it likely had half the budget. This is a game made for the consumer. I will be supporting this studio for the foreseeable future.
Agreed, I was shocked with how good it is. I am enjoying this way more than Pal World and probably more than I did Valhiem although Valhiem was an amazing game.
Have to try this game later. Still to much of a Nintendo feel. Also miss the Viking feel from Valheim. They really need to fix the ranged attack from above. Also can anyone show that sunset feel. I just see a house in mid day or night. What happened to the sunset aspect? Hopefully they add alot of QOL to this game.
Devs took quite a bit of stuff from other games. Exploration and quests are quite similar to BOTW. Food, crafting and building is pretty much Valheim's excellent system, where they serve as buffs, instead of annoying hunger/thirst meter to manage. Loot is...well, loot like from Looter-Shooters. But what is really nice is that even useless loot is still highly valuable, because they can be salvaged into runes, which are used to empower your current equipment. It took a lot of system of other games and combined them excellently.
For the early game, lean meat isn't really worth it unless you run out of options. Wolf meat is what you want. It'll give you a +2 to constitution and wolves are easy to find in the starting location. Having a stack of berries on hand is also a good idea, because they can give you health regen. Also, another simple way to take out bees is to just whack 'em with a torch.
yeah i kinda hate the fact that lean meat is useful only once if at all. youll have better options before the first night is over. they couldve just left it out. and the hide scraps you get from rats.
The funny thing is, when i got to “this road is blocked, a grappling hook is required to cross”, i just ignored it and cut down the wooden wall with my axe instead.. i then played another 5 hours without either the hook or the glider hahaha. I wish i just crafted them earlier though.
This, PalWorld and baldurs gate all set a new standard for what players will expect out of early access. Especially since many aren't $60+ So it appeals now to more since the price is lower for essentially alpha access. I'm for it cause these games are succeeded cause they are still offering a lot
1:30 you can literally just dig around the wall, everything can be manipulated, you might need a grapple hook to climb a tower, OR you can destroy its foundations and watch it crumble, its all up to the player. again at 12:15 you can dig your way into or up ontop of said chamber and drop down into it, again, everything is a choice.
I don’t think a lot of people know for only 3 stone you can make you own waypoints in the world. You can only make 3 of these but makes exploring way easier so you can go back to your base at any time and the fast travel back to where you were. You just make a Flame Altar and place it after your done with it just Extinguish Flame to destroy it so you can keep making them.
You should probably have expanded on the comfort buff and mention furnishing your house (or making a basement full of random bits) will increase the comfort value and that makes the rested timer get longer. Placing an altar in a town with multiple houses and furniture already existing will also give a big comfort rating. The jump trick requires a glider because it utilises the landing roll animation to carry your character up the terrain where a normal roll just rolls in place before you slide backwards
I have a BLAST with this early access game. It is FAR bigger than most other survival games that I have played. The combat is so much fun and the talent system allows you to tailor your character to an awesome level. I never thought I would have so much fun in a game like this but I do and I am addicted.
While most animals have sharp teeth, or claws, or are very strong, humans are soft and squishy. But what we lack in physicality, we more than make up for in mentality. I'd say foxholing is well within our rights because we are choosing to fight smarter, not harder. And for those who want an "honorable fight," or play Dark Souls, they've adapted to enjoy the pain. No shame either way.
I tried to go to the salt mine then found a small tower just a tad north east of the starting spot that is covered in salt and there is a chest inside the tower and...the high point, you can mine and then step back a tiny bit and you are out of the shroud. Great video by the way! Really helped.
I'm a bit concerned that the multiplayer aspect of the game is too cooperative and things like unlocking the NPCs and doing their quests are a 1 and done sort of thing. People could be bummed their sweaty friends unlocked everything while they were at work or soemthing. It would have been nice if each player could do all the things.

@@Cedar77 well my point is I wish all games like this had this feature planned from the start and balanced the world around the idea. Stamina consumption while climbing the lattus in game currently drains hella fast so it's not like you can climb from the ground to the top of some castle or mountian. I would add to the list that you can use the altars to explore and be able to teleport to where you left off with your character and then return, for that you have to improve the main altar to have the option of building more altars
Craft from chest is an essential feature every game should have. If you don't implement this feature, at least allow us to take resources one by one so that we can craft much easier. There is only a split feature or take all. QoL is important and most developers fail to realize this.
This game is FULL of quality of life, I get what you're saying but the decision to make you work a bit harder for the magic "Craft from storage"-type storage is like any other barrier in any other game: an artificial one that makes you work for something, and then feel like you've really earned something cool.
Or get the rake and use it to transform a very step climb into something that you can walk. Mountains can be changed into walk-able paths using "the power of the rake".
Thanks for the repair tip. I've been dying like crazy because my sword broke, and I thought I had to get to the blacksmith to repair it, but there's a bunch of mobs between my starter base and the blacksmith, so I've been getting slaughtered trying to punch them while they swing axes and swords at me.
First difficult enemies are outside the blacksmiths pick up and I tried 3 times without armour and with basic stuff - took a step back built myself some rags and a wand and was very surprised to find I literally just needed a wand to fight them off. I usually melee with a sword or scythe but the wand is extremely useful when you've got a hoard of enemies so you can keep back stepping and getting their health down before taking them out
It is also worth mentioning that wands will highlight enemies with a triangle in low visibility situations. I always hold my want when I am running around a new area.
Im playing a healer with 2 of my friends. But for the life of me I cant figure out to target heal them. If you hold the left mouse button until it is full it will send out healing seeds that seem to randomly float to anyone in the group even if they are at full health. Meanwhile the tank, who is taking damage, is barely getting any seeds. Am I missing something?
Love your videos. Can I make a small suggestion? Could you possibly add an element on your videos titling your tip and the number? That way it would visually be easy to know where one tip ends and the next begins so we can quickly find the tip we’re looking for when rewatching the videos. I know you place time stamps in the bar itself, but to have it on the. Idea is just easier and quicker too.
Decided to give the game a try due to Legacy Gaming excellent overview videos. There are many subtle features in Enshrouded making the game fun to play.
I was excited about it. But I had to work today and didn't get it at launch. But I watched some streams.. Think I'll wait and stick with Valheim, see if anything more interesting comes of Enshrouded...
I actually went through the shroud and came out on the other side of the bridge before haveing a grappling hook or glider. But then made them both soon after.
I swear the best boots i use on every single build are the best version of reduction to delay of stamina regen boots. The hunter can craft some for you and you can also find them in the wild. They make it so that you never run out of stamina while mining even without sweets. Invaluable to not just bow/rogue builds but all builds as stamina or lack of will get you killed
I really like how they didnt make the wand super weak like in most games. its so refreshing to play a different range character besides the usual archer+bow combo. And the fact that its only limited by its durability is a major plus. usually games would nerf wands down so bad, that its just not fun to play,
About pulling items from chests for crafting/building. This WAS a feature in the game that was originally unlocked already from the get go, some redditors complained about it, and they turned it into an upgrade instead....
@@BTK_Grillernope for me is really good, it's has a sense of progression in the world. Find the carpenter is worth it, it's unlock you a new era of crafting.
That is why we can't have nice things. Seriously who likes inventory management, it's silly to waste time managing boxes and bag space when their is a world to explore and enemies to slaughter.
I really liked the progression. It felt really good to upgrade everything to magical chests and really get storage sorted after we spent an entire day stripping down our survival hut and making it a proper building. This game just keeps giving, I'm very hooked!
Had no problem levelling from 1 - 25 without using a wand (or staff), although it was very clear when I needed to upgrade my armour. By the way, have you figured out yet that there is no need to have your ranged weapon (Q) in your hotbar?
glider saves me so much my pc has micro lags bc its old and bad so i often jsut unalived by fall dmg but now i just press space when lag happens and survive
If you want to get up an incline - use your excavation tool to create a grade you can exploit. I figured this out when I fell off a cliff and wanted to get my loot halfway down. I started from the bottom and carved a stair to my loot.
In the early going, here are some tips that I learned: carry 2 pickaxes and spec into the 30% mining and 50 durability loss talents early. Every chamber where you get an NPC, you can destroy all the other pods in the chamber for 3 scrap metal per. This is a great way to get a stockpile fast since you visit the blacksmith, hunter, and alchemist early on. Two, use the wells in Longwell and Rookmore early on to stockpile water. You will need tons of water to make seeds for planting and making chamomile tea when you get the Farmer. Third, when you get the Alchemist, there is a scavenger camp nearby where you should find a legendary sword. Get the sword and unlock its abilities; you can use this sword until you get into the Revelwood. I agree with the wands advice, but bows and arrows do great damage if you can get those headshots in.
ALWAYS have a Flame Alter and Workbench on your ALTernate skill bar; place it after traveling 30 mintes (real time) so your respawn is WAY closer. You may also use the FA to build a wall section at a cliff side and REMOVE it to remove the cliff side. Need a hole? A 'man cave'? place a FOUNDATIOn and remove it.
Thanks for the tip on the ranged weapon via Q, it works with my bow, but I can't get it to work with my wand. To get it to work with the bow, I right click to equip it in inventory, but with the wand I don't get the option to equip (I tried unequiping bow first).
I think if there is enough of a response about the restrictions with Co-Op, the Developers may change things, especially as it is in Early Access. I want spears and polearms for combat unless I have yet to unlock those.
If you jump spam while sprinting you move as fast as sprint but use zero stamina. Not sure why though. Any tool/wepeon except the first axe, pickaxe and I think bow will use stamina while jumping. But those 3 items or a empty hand does not use stamina while jumping. The wingsuit measses up being able to mash space. So time the click or unequip it.
Sprint jump to get around quicker with using little to no stamina. If you sprint, then jump and keep jumping repeatedly as soon as your feet hit the ground, you will move at the speed of the sprint without the stamina cost.
0:22 I didn't realize early access games were known for being larger then other games. Am I just not paying attention? I would expect early access games to generally be smaller.
Grappling hook is not that big of deal with get straight off as there is little use for it because it requires that special item to connect too that is very sparsely used in the game. The Wing suit however is very important get yesterday
You don’t need the carpenter to unlock the small magic chest. You unlock those after finding the blacksmith, so you actually get it a lot earlier. We haven’t gotten the carpenter yet and we already have stacks of small magic chests
@@LegacyGamingUS No worries. I don't think I used any language that should worry TH-cam so I'm not sure what happened there. Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't aware TH-cam does that.
Magic chests... I wish there was a magic crafting station where you could craft everything in one spot. The later you get in the game, the more annoying it gets to craft things. Oh I need oil, which one of the 4 alchemy crafting stations do I use for that? Gotta check every damn crafting station until you find the right one.
I think giving enemies a way to use a ranged attack when they cannot get in range of a melee would solve that “haha you cant reach me” issue. Sure some enemies it wouldnt suit like a wolf which is fine but other enemies should absolutely be able to
Within the first 2 hours with only the Blacksmith unlocked i was able to make the Small magic chest which does the same thing as the medium for that 10:40 tip.

To get up cliffs once you get so far and cant go further just whip out your pick axe and create steps 😉
Or get the rake and use it to transform a very step climb into something that you can walk. Mountains can be changed into walk-able paths using "the power of the rake".
tips and tricks, this is how to craft grappling hook. Quality content right there.
Tyvm! Also this 100% runs on Asus ROG Ally - amazing experience so far in at level 3 lol
AMAZING VIDEO TY SO MUCH!
Come play the game is great
I have actually been enjoying this more than Valhiem although Valhiem is an amazing game.
may i ask, where this exact location is you show at 12:00? i really would love to build a base on that edge
3:41 I realllly love this feature.
I actually went through the shroud and came out on the other side of the bridge before haveing a grappling hook or glider. But then made them both soon after.
If you jump while sprinting the entire time, you wont use any stamina. This works MOST of the time but sometimes it doesnt. Just another tip.
I discovered that when you use pickaxe and axe, you will lose stamina. if you have sword equipped, one does not lose any stamina
@@vincentfotografiert Yep, you are correct.
Seriously? Taking a QOL feature and turning it into part of the grind is pretty lame.
@@boxhead6177 me, I like to manage the inventory and the boxes, and explore the big world...not everyone likes the same things in a game.
I really liked the progression. It felt really good to upgrade everything to magical chests and really get storage sorted after we spent an entire day stripping down our survival hut and making it a proper building. This game just keeps giving, I'm very hooked!
Great, thanks for these tips and tricks ! :)
Had no problem levelling from 1 - 25 without using a wand (or staff), although it was very clear when I needed to upgrade my armour. By the way, have you figured out yet that there is no need to have your ranged weapon (Q) in your hotbar?
You can use a pickaxe to bust through any walls, including those either side of puzzle locked doors (it might take a fair few swings though)
if u use the wand, aim a bit higher than the head while keeping the dot on them. it will sometimes lob the bolt onto the mobs head for a headshot
glider saves me so much my pc has micro lags bc its old and bad so i often jsut unalived by fall dmg but now i just press space when lag happens and survive
If you want to get up an incline - use your excavation tool to create a grade you can exploit. I figured this out when I fell off a cliff and wanted to get my loot halfway down. I started from the bottom and carved a stair to my loot.
Please show where this temple is on the map that contains the shield. Show where 12:07 is. pretty please :)
I didn't realize that headshots were a thing for *SO* long! >,
Thx. I screenshot this advice for my first start.
Great game and great tips, thank you sir.
"I knew sooner" the game just dropped :D
So is it like one time purchase or have to purchase again and again for new region or stuff?
the "ready ranged weapon" thing doesn't work for me at all. There's a bind for it, but it doesnt' actually switch to it.
You have to equip your ranged weapon. Right click on it (bow or staff) and hit equip, then the hotkey will work.
Thank you. Super helpful!
12:09 Yeah- gonna need a walkthrough for WHERE that chamber is that you just dropped into..
You can edit the settings.json and toggle sprint.
❤
Thanks for the tip on the ranged weapon via Q, it works with my bow, but I can't get it to work with my wand.
To get it to work with the bow, I right click to equip it in inventory, but with the wand I don't get the option to equip (I tried unequiping bow first).
The wand isn't considered a "ranged" weapon, it fills the same slot as your sword/axe/etc. Only Bows and Staves fill the ranged requirements.
Wand is a basic weapon hence has infinite shots
Thanks @@LegacyGamingUS 🙂
always smash boxes and containers around new or high level areas lots of potions and crafting mats
Valheim needs this level of cool buildings and the gliding and the enemy variety
I think if there is enough of a response about the restrictions with Co-Op, the Developers may change things, especially as it is in Early Access.
I want spears and polearms for combat unless I have yet to unlock those.
Hm i have the Problem that the shadows flicker allot if i do not look directly at them anybody know why that could be ?
When do you think we can expect for this to come to consoles
If you jump spam while sprinting you move as fast as sprint but use zero stamina. Not sure why though. Any tool/wepeon except the first axe, pickaxe and I think bow will use stamina while jumping. But those 3 items or a empty hand does not use stamina while jumping.
The wingsuit measses up being able to mash space. So time the click or unequip it.
How is that quick ranged switch supposed to work? Pressing Q doesnt just auto swap my ranged weapon
You hold Q, and if you have the ranged weapon equipped in your range slot, that's what it will swap to as long as you are holding Q
i wonder if the quick swap function also works the other way ,ie quick swappting to ya meelee weapon if ya have ya staff etc equiped
Thanks for making this.
Can't go to carpenter yet. Shroud is still red on my view. And I'm level 4. I unlocked all the rest NPC but the carpenter is not yet.
I'm a little confused is it coming out for the consoles and when
Sprint jump to get around quicker with using little to no stamina. If you sprint, then jump and keep jumping repeatedly as soon as your feet hit the ground, you will move at the speed of the sprint without the stamina cost.
waaaw. that house in the initial moments of video.. was it built ? damn people are creative and talented. my house is a cuboid with a door. :|
Best advice, relax, dont rush tru the game, its so enjoyabel
0:22 I didn't realize early access games were known for being larger then other games. Am I just not paying attention? I would expect early access games to generally be smaller.
Grappling hook is not that big of deal with get straight off as there is little use for it because it requires that special item to connect too that is very sparsely used in the game. The Wing suit however is very important get yesterday
great video!
thanx bought today!!
You don’t need the carpenter to unlock the small magic chest. You unlock those after finding the blacksmith, so you actually get it a lot earlier. We haven’t gotten the carpenter yet and we already have stacks of small magic chests
Having a torch is handy against bees as well.
Why was my comment about the lack of support for high refresh rates removed? It's been confirmed by devs so I don't get it.
TH-cam flags things based on certain language being used. If you commented and it isn't showing, it's TH-cam's automod.
@@LegacyGamingUS No worries. I don't think I used any language that should worry TH-cam so I'm not sure what happened there. Thanks for the explanation. I wasn't aware TH-cam does that.
Yep we always get blamed for it lol. Thanks TH-cam.
Thanks bro!
I never would have even tried the wand, thanks for your tip I can't wait to try it out now.
I think giving enemies a way to use a ranged attack when they cannot get in range of a melee would solve that “haha you cant reach me” issue. Sure some enemies it wouldnt suit like a wolf which is fine but other enemies should absolutely be able to
8:12 It literally says that new location was charted on the map XD
Within the first 2 hours with only the Blacksmith unlocked i was able to make the Small magic chest which does the same thing as the medium for that 10:40 tip.
Yeah they patched it after this video was released
Tips video and only says the buttons for pc . Great job!
@4:32 if you never knew you wanted that combat feature in games before, you must be new to gaming. That’s a thing most gamers quickly want in games.
wait a staff is considered range? or is it a magic item?
Have just recently been looking into this game. It feels like a 3d terraria. Look awesome. Wish there was summoner class
You can craft small magic chests prior to the carpenter being found.
Yep that was changed in a later patch
