@@Cyan37 well my point is I wish all games like this had this feature planned from the start and balanced the world around the idea. Stamina consumption while climbing the lattus in game currently drains hella fast so it's not like you can climb from the ground to the top of some castle or mountian. Or have a few materials that you can't climb and use it to block off things you don't want players to cheese. Or have it be a climbing puzzle with a maze of inclimable surfaces that you have to navigate. There are gameplay ways to implement it. It's one of the best features I've played in open world games.
While most animals have sharp teeth, or claws, or are very strong, humans are soft and squishy. But what we lack in physicality, we more than make up for in mentality. I'd say foxholing is well within our rights because we are choosing to fight smarter, not harder. And for those who want an "honorable fight," or play Dark Souls, they've adapted to enjoy the pain. No shame either way.
I really like that Enshrouded took Valheim's design when it comes to water and food, where they are buffing you, instead of standard and annoying hunger meter to be managed.
You should look at Outward then. That game gives buff for foods that are so good you want to eat them and there for forgets it also has survival aspects to its food system.
I agree with you, but why does everyone compare certain mechanics to Valheim? It's not like the game had amazing innovations. You don't need the Carpenter to make magic chests, I had those in my build menu when I freed the Blacksmith. The Carpenter just makes it a lot cheaper.
Love your videos. Can I make a small suggestion? Could you possibly add an element on your videos titling your tip and the number? It is also worth mentioning that wands will highlight enemies with a triangle in low visibility situations. I always hold my want when I am running around a new area.

I think giving enemies a way to use a ranged attack when they cannot get in range of a melee would solve that “haha you cant reach me” issue. Sure some enemies it wouldnt suit like a wolf which is fine but other enemies should absolutely be able to
Im playing a healer with 2 of my friends. But for the life of me I cant figure out to target heal them. If you hold the left mouse button until it is full it will send out healing seeds that seem to randomly float to anyone in the group even if they are at full health. Meanwhile the tank, who is taking damage, is barely getting any seeds. Am I missing something?
I was excited about it. But I had to work today and didn't get it at launch. But I watched some streams.. Think I'll wait and stick with Valheim, see if anything more interesting comes of Enshrouded...
In the early going, here are some tips that I learned: carry 2 pickaxes and spec into the 30% mining and 50 durability loss talents early. Every chamber where you get an NPC, you can destroy all the other pods in the chamber for 3 scrap metal per. This is a great way to get a stockpile fast since you visit the blacksmith, hunter, and alchemist early on. Two, use the wells in Longwell and Rookmore early on to stockpile water. You will need tons of water to make seeds for planting and making chamomile tea when you get the Farmer. Third, when you get the Alchemist, there is a scavenger camp nearby where you should find a legendary sword. Get the sword and unlock its abilities; you can use this sword until you get into the Revelwood. I agree with the wands advice, but bows and arrows do great damage if you can get those headshots in.
It sounds like the food mechanics are basically the same as other survival games, except the devs realized presenting them as buffs rather than debuffs was better.

The game literally JUST launched. What kind of a title is that!? How much sooner could you have known? It's day 1. I was sure people would start making videos with this title right away.
We've done this series specifically for over 3 years now. It accompanies every single game we majorly cover. It's a video specifically for players at launch after We've been playing/reviewing a game ahead of public release.
The only thing I don't really like about the game is it has insane system requirements for so-so graphics. I get 50-60 fps at most with lowest graphics and I don't think my PC is that bad. (I7-9700k, 1070 8gb, 16 gb ram) But I guess thats because its Voxel based and also It just came out.. Anyway hope they optimize the game a little bit more but so far the game has been a blast! Thank you for the tips it definetly helped a lot! :D
how is a 1070 not "that bad" your card literally released 7 years ago, that is ancient by most standarts, especially in technology. don´t get me wrong nobody should be forced to get the "newest" stuff, that shit is expensive but you are basically on a ps3 wanting to play a ps4 game expecting good performance (shit comparison i know). tldr: not everything has to be made for everyone, there has to be a line somewere.
your PC is 10yrs old my guy.. and its not even top of the line 10years ago. mines nothing to scoff at either.. a simple 2700x Ryzen 7, and 2060superOC and 48gig of ram(was 16, but since windows and some background programs use almost 8-9gig of ram idling, i threw a 32gig kit in it as well. difference is I know my PC is old and dont blame the game for poor optimization :)
@@ownologer The game litteraly gets 60-70 fps on high graphics on the best nvidia rig (4080) Im not saying my PC is not outdated because it definetly is, but the thing is that I get 80-90 fps on medium graphics in Cyberpunk and I get 40-50 fps on low graphics in this game. So this game definetly needs to be optimized a bit more. Still, as I said I really like the game and I've put more than 15 hours into it so far and I'm not planning on stopping either.
i cant even play the game.. RTX 3080TI 12GB card with a I9 9900k. everything max, above 70 fps but the game is choppy and sluggy as hell feels like it runs at 33-40 fps.
Ehh it’s pretty boring at the start, like very. Hopefully it gets better. Also bows feel way to fucking weak even when you get headshot. Bow hit registration is ass and for controller players they need to add a better aim assist, because it feels awful. Im not talking about lock on im talking about free aim.
For the early game, lean meat isn't really worth it unless you run out of options. Wolf meat is what you want. It'll give you a +2 to constitution and wolves are easy to find in the starting location. Having a stack of berries on hand is also a good idea, because they can give you health regen. Also, another simple way to take out bees is to just whack 'em with a torch.
yeah i kinda hate the fact that lean meat is useful only once if at all. youll have better options before the first night is over. they couldve just left it out. and the hide scraps you get from rats.
This game is better than any AAA I have played in the last two years. and it likely had half the budget. This is a game made for the consumer. I will be supporting this studio for the foreseeable future.
Agreed, I was shocked with how good it is. I am enjoying this way more than Pal World and probably more than I did Valhiem although Valhiem was an amazing game.
Have to try this game later. Still to much of a Nintendo feel. Also miss the Viking feel from Valheim. They really need to fix the ranged attack from above. Also can anyone show that sunset feel. I just see a house in mid day or night. What happened to the sunset aspect? Hopefully they add alot of QOL to this game.
Devs took quite a bit of stuff from other games. Exploration and quests are quite similar to BOTW. Food, crafting and building is pretty much Valheim's excellent system, where they serve as buffs, instead of annoying hunger/thirst meter to manage. Loot is...well, loot like from Looter-Shooters. But what is really nice is that even useless loot is still highly valuable, because they can be salvaged into runes, which are used to empower your current equipment. It took a lot of system of other games and combined them excellently.
I don’t think a lot of people know for only 3 stone you can make you own waypoints in the world. You can only make 3 of these but makes exploring way easier so you can go back to your base at any time and the fast travel back to where you were. You just make a Flame Altar and place it after your done with it just Extinguish Flame to destroy it so you can keep making them.
This game has been sick. Sad its getting a bit overshadowed rn by Palworld tbh The Devs talk on Twitter/X often and always down to have a chat about ideas with the community. Its rare to find good Devs like this and they are open to ideas. Seems a bit like a New World of sorts considering the no food and hunger meter technically, but can still buff character with them n such. Wonder if they will add a lot of PvM later, hope so. I hope they keep the uniqueness of this survival game via the skill trees and gear, i love the more ARPG loot/skill tree here, its very interesting to make character builds n gear stats. Sorta like a 3rd person V Rising in a different world sorta to me Excited to see what they add in the future, i believe the devs said PvP is on the table but they dont know if its something the players want, and how they could implement it in a balanced way (voxel based world can make for some bad manor issues, currently for instance people can dig under ground and ruin someones base if they wanted to by digging all around underground their base, until it becomes like a sink hole of sorts and just falls down lmao, so hope they find a way to fix those issues and such) But games great so far, im excited for its future as well.
This isn't like new world at all. New world is an MMO , enshrouded is a survival crafting rpg , they have almost no similarities outside of being 3rd person and fantasy.
only said new world in its food/hunger elements , idk about water tho but yea not like new world only like it in its way of managing hunger/food which there isnt really a manage@@hoopla5502
Or get the rake and use it to transform a very step climb into something that you can walk. Mountains can be changed into walk-able paths using "the power of the rake".
You can use building hammer to make perfectly cut rectangles in the ground, that guy who spend 3 hours manually digging a basement wish he knew that sooner for sure lol. Plus on server reset in my experience with a hosted server I own, holes/tunnels manually dug with mining reset but building hammer holes don't.
1:30 you can literally just dig around the wall, everything can be manipulated, you might need a grapple hook to climb a tower, OR you can destroy its foundations and watch it crumble, its all up to the player. again at 12:15 you can dig your way into or up ontop of said chamber and drop down into it, again, everything is a choice.
I have a BLAST with this early access game. It is FAR bigger than most other survival games that I have played. The combat is so much fun and the talent system allows you to tailor your character to an awesome level. I never thought I would have so much fun in a game like this but I do and I am addicted.
I think it's noteworthy that you can often circumvent "Need a grappling hook". I think i took 5-6 hours before i crafted mine and got into several areas where you're meant to use a hook. The place in the video.. You can just knock down that wall with an axe for instance.
I tried to go to the salt mine then found a small tower just a tad north east of the starting spot that is covered in salt and there is a chest inside the tower and...the high point, you can mine and then step back a tiny bit and you are out of the shroud. Great video by the way! Really helped.
I'm a bit concerned that the multiplayer aspect of the game is too cooperative and things like unlocking the NPCs and doing their quests are a 1 and done sort of thing. People could be bummed their sweaty friends unlocked everything while they were at work or soemthing. It would have been nice if each player could do all the things.

3 this might be like later in the game but once you unlock the garden, go to wistful fields (its like just east of the "story of rot" obelisk.) then get tomatoes. It give like +2 to dex and I'm using a dex bow build right now so I realized this little item is super helpful if you haven't unlocked the cooking pot yet.
Time to upgrade, that spec is very dated. Also, I would recommend at least 32gb Ram for gaming these days.
I'm playing at 4k total max settings on my 3090, and it's totally smooth.@@jaxonka2005
It's been out for a day and you wish you knew these things sooner? 😅
We've done this series for over 3 years. It's a video we release for new players after we've been reviewing the game ahead of launch.
i cant even play the game.. RTX 3080TI 12GB card with a I9 9900k. everything max, above 70 fps but the game is choppy and sluggy as hell feels like it runs at 33-40 fps.
Runs well mid range settings on rtx 2070 I7
software issue
Enshrouded won’t be as big as PalWorld, if for no other reason, because it’s a steam exclusive 🤷🏽♂️
zelda style
The game released not even 6 hours ago..... Can people just play and explore without a guide of how you should play. 😯
Of course, just simply don't watch this video
Omg not the first type of clickbait enshrouded movies i saw. C'mon, this game is simple, nobody needs tipps for this game 🤣
I'm surprised this video isnt called "You suck at games and can't figure things out for yourself? Watch this"
Get over yourself
Ehh it’s pretty boring at the start, like very. Hopefully it gets better. Also bows feel way to fucking weak even when you get headshot. Bow hit registration is ass and for controller players they need to add a better aim assist, because it feels awful. Im not talking about lock on im talking about free aim.
fake gamer
take your controller to fortnite
@@PapaRunebeard You're a child.
These are the most useless tips ever.
The game came out 2 hours ago ... how sooner did you want to know? lmao
@@MrMelonMonkey Maybe they'll add a stew later on like they did for wolf meat.
Hopefully they add alot of QOL to this game.
customer not consumer
Devs took quite a bit of stuff from other games. Exploration and quests are quite similar to BOTW.
Food, crafting and building is pretty much Valheim's excellent system, where they serve as buffs, instead of annoying hunger/thirst meter to manage.
Loot is...well, loot like from Looter-Shooters. But what is really nice is that even useless loot is still highly valuable, because they can be salvaged into runes, which are used to empower your current equipment.
It took a lot of system of other games and combined them excellently.
@@PapaRunebeardbut don't you consume content? The word works. A bit janky, but it works.
You can make more the higher level your base’s flame is. I can make up to 6 now.
I'm absolutely loving this game. Sucks that I gotta work today. I wanna just explore and craft and build!
This game has been sick. Sad its getting a bit overshadowed rn by Palworld tbh
The Devs talk on Twitter/X often and always down to have a chat about ideas with the community.
Sorta like a 3rd person V Rising in a different world sorta to me
Excited to see what they add in the future, i believe the devs said PvP is on the table but they dont know if its something the players want, and how they could implement it in a balanced way
(voxel based world can make for some bad manor issues, currently for instance people can dig under ground and ruin someones base if they wanted to by digging all around underground their base, until it becomes like a sink hole of sorts and just falls down lmao, so hope they find a way to fix those issues and such) But games great so far, im excited for its future as well.
I think you mean its more like v rising/valheim
It'd not overshadowed. 50k players is a lot
@@superstarlv9259 It would def be higher if not for pal world
To get up cliffs once you get so far and cant go further just whip out your pick axe and create steps 😉
Or get the rake and use it to transform a very step climb into something that you can walk. Mountains can be changed into walk-able paths using "the power of the rake".
So I guess Nintendo people will be pisses about climbing towers, gliding down and going underground to collect necessary resources? Lol
Also there are mushrooms as well
10 things i wish i knew sooner:
explains basic gamechanics like repairing, food-buffs and crafting
You can use building hammer to make perfectly cut rectangles in the ground, that guy who spend 3 hours manually digging a basement wish he knew that sooner for sure lol. Plus on server reset in my experience with a hosted server I own, holes/tunnels manually dug with mining reset but building hammer holes don't.
Depends of its inside or outside of the Flame's protection.@@randomhero123
Oh snap thank you for this comment! I didn’t know the hammer removed perfect squares!
I'm still early in this game, but pulling out your pickaxe to create some steps up a hillside was very satisfying.
Really helped.
you can go back to the chest repeatedly! It resets after you log out (it's how I farm Runes!)
Lol, thats why I'll play alone, this happens every time, but you'll always have more money.
Then tell your friends to get a job
If they were good friends they wouldn’t do the important main quests without you lol
I play more than my friends, but we all have a local save and one shared that we only use when we are all on.
yeah playng alone is boring and its like playing a game at 30%@@Bizmark7
these tips are all basic things the game literally tells you within the first few hours...was hoping for some less obvious tips
Shouldn't the wording be "it is a huge game, even by full release standards despite being early access"? Yes, I am being a dink 😂
These are literally the basic game mechanics…
I was gonna comment the same thing. 😂
Yeah, i literally already know all of this
