    Absolute crap. When I retired after 50 years as an aircraft engineer working in the airline industry, only one a/c used a fluid for deicing. The Douglas DC-3 designed in the 1930's. For props only. Most passenger a/c today use engine bleed air for anti-ice protection. I am not licenced to quote on the B787, but I believe it uses electric anti-ice. All modern prop a/c use electrically heated cuffs on the blade roots. Windshields are also electrically heated. A brilliant feature of the Rolls Royce RB211 that powered some variants of Boeings's 747 was a small rubber tip on the intake spinner. If ice tried to form, it would cause the tip to vibrate and shed the ice. Please do your research from qualified and proven sites.
