I miss so many of our older singers that have passed on in the last few years. What they gave to Gospel music was the best of the best, There battles were no less then yours or mine. I just love David Phelps of course all the Gaithers Homecoming singers. Bill Gaither has brought so many of our singers back into the fold.. such as Michael English and many more.. I'm thankful I grew up an era where the best gospel music was ever and will ever be written.

This song came on my heart after seeing a person who came to visit a child at the Elementary School for lunch. Undoubtedly she was going through Chemo Therapy. She had very little hair, very skinny, and in a wheelchair. I believe God is doing something in her. Praying His will be done in her and her family.

Tonight I felt like listening to this favourite song that I haven't heard in a long time; I listened to some great performances by professional choirs in the UK and US, but this one is the "cream of the crop". An excellent mix of very talented singers and instrumentalists laid the foundation for this performance, and the genuine love of God and Holy Spirit inspiration radiating from their faces crowned it.

That's what they know. b) David "screaming out the last verse" is what tenors/operatics do. It's called belting out a song. Sandi Patty said it's like "screaming on pitch". And it's pretty amazing.
This week, SOMEone told us we could not gather and sing. NOone can/will tell me not to sign with my friends (some have passed, some are distant, some are here), but we WILL sing!
I am neither a Christian nor a God fearing man but I enjoyed the performance. I haven't heard it in quite awhile. It never ceases to amaze me how that music affects some people.
