    Loitering around in our memory palace is also a great way to become familiar with different angles and views without rushing as well!

      Thanks so much for your kind words.
      I think this TEDx does a decent job of telling the story of how I got to be this way in as few words as possible:

    Hey, was wondering: How many times is good to review a palace i created (with no mnemonics in it yet) until its easier to use? And is there a "golden" period of time to use a palace? When it's fresh in memory, or later down the line? Like bananas, when you buy them and let them sit for a few days until they are tastier to eat, should I use a palace right after creating while it's fresh or wait whilst reviewing it for future use?

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      This is an interesting question, but I would suggest looking at it a slightly different way. What could you start memorizing now so that you can start getting used to using Memory Palaces optimally without this kind of concern even being an issue?
      I think this alternative question is important because Memory Palaces are not bananas and one should be able to use fairly vague locations. I know I certainly do, sometimes including locations that I don't like. But I've learned to become neutral to their status and this has been a tremendous boon.

    Considering your advice of studying languages and your advice of repeating what people are saying, do you think it would be a good exercise to combine the two things? I mean trying to translate what you are listening to in another language?

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Yes, I do this quite a bit, often thinking through what words might be in different languages I've studied in real time.
      There's a related technique called "laddering" that I discuss here that might interest you too:

    How to create a memory palace if you can't visualize a location

    • @AnthonyMetivierMMM
      @AnthonyMetivierMMM  20 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Thanks for your post.
      It's actually not necessary to visualize any Memory Palace. As many of us say, there's simply no time even if visualizing them was necessary.
      Have you ever gone through the course I mentioned in this video? It solves all the problems like this through a powerful exercise.
