Regarding the "what does homosexuality have to do with my drawing" story: When I was in high school (early 2000's), two girls were caught making out in a closet (no pun intended) during a school dance, outing them and causing A Scandal. Having been raised by a family that told me that my aunt was gay in the same tone that they told me that she's not the youngest of my father's sisters (ie it wasn't a huge deal), it took me quite a while to realize that The Scandal was that they were gay, not they were publicly making out in a school closet.
When I was little, I remember watching TV with family and a character on a show said "I'M GAY!" when a woman was pestering him in a bar. And my whole family laughed. And I was like "What's so funny?" and they told me I will get it when I grow older. I realized afterwards that they laughed because "homosexuals funny hahaha they are a joke", not because of how the line in the TV show was delivered.

I’m starting to realize that too. But I like men and women in different ways. I like men in more sexual way (making out, holding them, that kind of thing) but I like women in a more romantic way (just talking to them, being around them, or just seeing their face). Okay but why would that probably actually happen to me? Like, not necessarily with real people (because I haven't been attracted to real people (enough to actually date them) since I was like 6-8 years old but I'm that one person who will be watching an anime or playing a video game and one of the characters has their sad/tragic past revealed and (just so long as they don't trigger what little PTSD I have) I, without fail, always either end up latching onto them like they are my younger sibling (regardless of whether or not they're older than me) or child or I will end up falling head over heels for this character purely because I empathized with them so strongly that it turned into legitimate attraction. So yeah, I probably would be attracted to someone just because their parents didn't accept them (granted it would probably take a few more things to get to that point but I could still probably get there)... TLDR: Apparently I'm romantically attracted to people I empathize with so this could probably actually happen to me.

I like men in more sexual way (making out, holding them, that kind of thing) but I like women in a more romantic way (just talking to them, being around them, or just seeing their face). Real talk: Love and support to anyone out there who have to deal with unsupportive parents or relatives. I know exactly what that feels like. Just remeber that blood doesn't always mean family. There's always going to be people out there who love and accept you as you are. Find them, and build your own family unit. Stay strong. You are valid, and you are loved!
Okay but why would that probably actually happen to me?
Like, not necessarily with real people (because I haven't been attracted to real people (enough to actually date them) since I was like 6-8 years old but I'm that one person who will be watching an anime or playing a video game and one of the characters has their sad/tragic past revealed and (just so long as they don't trigger what little PTSD I have) I, without fail, always either end up latching onto them like they are my younger sibling (regardless of whether or not they're older than me) or child or I will end up falling head over heels for this character purely because I empathized with them so strongly that it turned into legitimate attraction.
So yeah, I probably would be attracted to someone just because their parents didn't accept them (granted it would probably take a few more things to get to that point but I could still probably get there)...
TLDR: Apparently I'm romantically attracted to people I empathize with so this could probably actually happen to me.
