I was level 18 when i did this quest so to me the best option was get max loot instead of EXP so the best pathway was to go through the torture plan and ask about the treasure (makes Djistra happy and get him to help plus 1000 crowns later on) and then ask about Dandelion (triggers a huge fight scene) but you get all the loot and kill exp that comes with that - after playing all different versions turns out you don't miss anything doing this quest any other way (you get 100 exp less in quest reward tho), but you get more loot and more info (about that famous treasure and the way dialogues play out)

Letting her get tortured is the ONLY way to get Siggi to help with the attack on Kaer Morhen? Gotta ask about the treasure location then about Dandelion?
I know it's old but if you ask about the treasure, he will tell you it's in a Koviri bank and that he's not willing to trade it. Then you have to ask about Dandelion as an alternative, which will make him suspicious due to disparity between these two requests. He won't tell you where Dandelion is and instead asks about Dijkstra's contract and then calls the guards and starts a fight. Upside is that you can then loot the vault key and give it to Dijkstra alongside with the location, which will make him happy but I don't know how that affects him helping later as I'm barely past this section.
If you want an ending w Triss or Yen stay faithful to who you Romance first otherwise they'll trick you into thinkijg you can have both of em. The only people that that you can fxxk while being w Triss or Yen are the prostitute and the quests like Shani and Dettlaffs girl
The best ending is to just kill everyone starting at entrance. Then you get to learn interesting stuff about whom Menge was conspiring with. Not to mention saved Triss. I went from Velen to Skellige to level up and went back level 19 just to kill every mf in that mission. Worth it like hell. Will do the same on ps5 remake ;)
Hm. Thought they were chopping off her fingers and so I decided to kill em. But if it were just fingernails, i guess its fine, I mean shes a witch so she should be able to heal no? Might load and redo this, I like this option better then just killing everyone.
Dávid That's not the point, do you know how much it hurts to have your fingernails ripped out by pliers, and they deserve to be killed because they kill literally anyone who isn't just a normal human, also they believe in that eternal fire bullshit which I couldn't stand hearing throughout the game, I just wanted to kill every single one of those deluded, brainwashed sons of bitches.

I used a mod called Immersive Torture. My reason for this is that I wanted to get a feel of what the Spanish Inquisition was really like back in those days by having the witch hunters rip Triss Merigold's fingernails, strip her naked, and burn her clothes. When they tried to take away her necklace, she couldn't endure it anymore and unleashed hell while she was in the nude covered in blood. (So they tried but failed ).

I valued that over Geralt's emotions even though I've never felt so hateful towards a group of videogame npcs before. Those emotions made me realize I had to romance Triss lol. Of course the moment Menge tried to attack me I burnt him alive while slashing the shit out of him and eventually dismembering and killing him along with his friends

Triss is allergic to magic,
So she cannot heal.
