Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge: How to Remove Forgotten Password

In order to Remove your forgotten password on your Samsung Galaxy S6 / Edge smartphone your only option is a factory reset. With a factory reset you will lose everything- all data including all your photos, videos, apps, music, documents, etc so hopefully you have a backup of your important data. Once you factory reset your phone will be just like when you first purchased it and took it out of the box.
If there was a way to bypass your password or fingerprint it should not be posted publicly as thief's will be able to retrieve your personal info. I remember there was a case on the S3 back in the day that you could infact bypass your password using the emergency number on the lock screen and entering some numbers with an asterisk, but Samsung quickly resolved that with an update.
